Charged me extra sour cream and guac only for me to find out that there wasn’t any. Damn ruined my morning. When buying a 8 $ burrito you expect good quality. It’s not the first time either.

It’s a drive through Taco Shop. They’ve always got my order right and the food taste pretty good. I rated three stars because when I order there is no indication they actually heard me. Food is salty but again, it’s a drive through taco shop.

I had been coming to this Alberto’s for years. And have noticed over the last year or so there prices have reason a lot and the food quality has gone down. I went to this location yesterday. I walked in and ordered 3 rolled tacos with cheese and a bean and cheese burrito. The rolled tacos were soft and chewy like they putt them in the microwave instead of deep frying and the beans in the burrito tasted as if they were old. I am truly sorry that I have to go find another place to go for I will not visit this location from now on worst food ever !

Gross, Fries are always semi burnt, guacamole always old and the last time I went there I found a black hair in my nachos. customer service sux and they always try to act like the don’t understand when they do something wrong but any other time they speak good English. Save your money and do what im now doing go to jilbertos better food and better customer service and much cleaner. And no god damn sour cream means don’t put none what don’t you understand about that

Worst Mexican food in Escondido. But horribly convenient since they are open 24 hours. They messed up my burrito and forgot my limes. Then literally gave me salsa containers that are covered in salsa… Never going back. The one star is literally for the smile the girl gave me at he window.

it’s small inside but the drive thru is fast. Wide menu but I’m a frequent customer. I poke my head in and tell«Jefe… numero dies«…The portions are good. The service friendly at the counter. The number 10 is chorizo and egg with beans and rice and two HUGE flour tortillas. That and a medium drink will cost ya less than $ 10 but will definitely satisfy anyone’s hunger pains.

Despite how many times they’ve messed up my order, I always still came here because the food isn’t half bad and it’s close to my house. But last night was my LAST night there. I ordered carna asada fries and couldn’t wait to devour it after working 14 hours. Anyways, so I’m at home eating watching Netflix when I notice something weird sticking out of my fries that I just shoved in my mouth. I grabbed it and saw that it was a strand of black hair. Not only that but when I pulled it, I saw it coming out from underneath all my fries in the box and the hair was about a foot long! So not only was I a starving child the whole night but I also threw $ 8 down the drain. Past experience : I would order rolled tacos and ask to ADD sour cream. There are very few days when they get it right but the other million days, I would come home and see that they gave me ONLY sour cream with cheese. OR they would forget the sour cream and just give me guacamole with cheese. -.- seriously people? I hate driving far and that’s why I just go here but now I’ll be driving an additional mile to JILLBERTO

This was the worst experience at this Alberto’s ever! The young lady who took my order seemed irritated and when I asked for extra red and green sauce I got 4 red and 5 green. I ordered 4 burritos for different people who all like green and red so how the fuck am I supposed to do that with 1 of each sauce per person? My burritos were mislabeled so my roommate and I ate half of each other’s burritos before realizing they were wrong. My girlfriend got a chorizo burrito with guac. It wasn’t until halfway through that she got any guac and then found a huge piece of avocado skin in her burrito. Extremely unsatisfied with my purchase. This is the last time I will go to this Alberto’s location.

Walk into Alberto’s on rose street to try out a carna Asada burrito cause I have herd that they were good. Big mistake. First of they need fire that female that’s in get fired. Every time I come in their age has a attitude. Lose some weight chick if your life that bad. After I place my order she and the cook was saying some shit about me in Spanish. Upon getting my meal which for some reason only took about 2 minutes tops, I notice after about 3 bits that the meat was uncooked and it was not hot. The guacamole had a bitter taste to it. Like it been sitting out for weeks. I would not suggest this place to anyone and I will be taking to management about this issue.

I frequent this place quite a bit. I’m usually happy with the food but the staff is extremely stingy with the hot sauce. If you really like hot sauce with your food you’ll be asking 2 – 3 times at the drive-through before you’ll get a reasonable amount. Even when I specify«a lot of hot sauce please» they’ll usually give me 2 – 3 small containers and that’s it. To make matters worse, the girl that’s usually running the window has a technique to dodge giving more hot sauce. As soon as she hands you your food she walks away as fast as she can so you can’t ask for more. She will then avoid the window as long as possible, hoping you leave. I just asked her for«3 more hot sauces» and she hands me 2 with a super disgruntled look on her face. Is hot sauce that incredibly expensive? I think it’s more likely they just hate filling the small containers every day. In which case they should just get larger containers.

Ordered fish tacos they had no cream sauce like in the picture the tortilla was stuck to the cheese on the beans which made my tortilla soggy and teared my taco… The fish batter totally tasted refrigerated and reheated in the microwave… Really pricey too !! Don’t go

Playing Russian Roulette with a loaded burrito. I grew up eating at the Imperial Beach Alberto’s, always stopping by at 3AM after a night of partying in TJ. However, that was then, and I’m not drunk now… I ate at this Escondido location about 10 years ago and everyone in the group got violently ill. I’ve boycotted this Alberto’s ever since but I decided to gave this place one last shot. Cautiously, I ate the massive burrito and lived to write this review. I could only eat half, and besides the fact that the meat was a bit salty, it was pretty good. — Burritos are the size of a 2×4. — Asada is pretty salty. — Many 1 star reviews. — You probably shouldn’t read the Food Facility Inspection Report on this place.

This place is very BAD!!! The service is SOHORRIBLE!!! I’ve gone to this place 3 times with the same results. Horrible food! One example is the Burrito de Adobada. This burrito is dripping with GREASE!!! I even ask the girl to drain the grease out before she serves it!!! The service is horrible. One time we had to wait for like 15 mins just to get our food in the drive thru so instead we just drove off and got something else. And also the salsa they prepare is old and expired. Overall, this place deserves NO stars!!! I have no clue why people like this place…

Always satisfied with service but last time I went they gave me rotten salsa I couldn’t believe it it made me furious and they tried to give me the run around and I can hear them talking through the phone that I shouldn’t be crying in Spanish they’re lucky I can control my anger. Then they come up with that the cashier had mistaken n gave me the wrong salsa like the were saving them for someone else. Then I started to think about it n they purposely gave me that rotten salsa because when I asked for more salsa they have me that disgusting rotten salsa. This happen to me if it happened to my wife forget about it don’t even want to think about it. I’m trippin more because other people that don’t pay attention like children could of ate it and got sick.

I love me a good shrimp burrito and they have the best one in North County. Even better than Jalepenos(theirs is too dry and not enough shrimp) There’s lots of shrimp, it’s juicy and has some vegetables inside. I get mine without lettuce and use green and red sauce. I usually go around lunch time.

This place has changed a lot from the first time I’ve been here. My wife and I were in the mood for some Mexican food. We would go to this place because it has a 24 hour drive thru. The last time we went, the wait was too long. It’s a tiny, yellow shop that looks like a barn type Mexican food place. Not sure why a lot of Mexican food shops are yellow with a barn type look. The wait was extremely long to get our food. There was only 2 cars in front of us. I guess the first car ordered a lot of food, which held everyone up. We ordered carne asada chips. We got home and were about to eat when we noticed that they only gave us 3 hot sauces, 1 red and 2 green. We were like… that’s it?!? We didn’t really ask for more hot sauce, but that was a little amount for carne asada chips. The food didn’t taste as fresh as before. The chips were not hot and did not feel like they just came out of the oven. The toppings were just in one place. There was a clump of sour cream in one spot and guacamole in another. It would’ve been nice if things were spread out evenly and not just like a chip with just guacamole or just sour cream. Presentation matters! I’ve had better elsewhere so not sure if I will be coming back here again any time soon. There definitely are better Mexican spots out there than this place. But I’m not sure which places are open 24 hours when you are really craving Mexican food late night. I’ve heard of other places close by that I probably will try out instead of this place.
