Clean and close to a lot of restaurants. I really liked this place. It was homey, you are greeted by the family that runs the place, and they are super willing to help. We were there for the Erie Half Marathon, and this was about 3 miles from the start(Presque Isle). The house is HUGE! Old Victorian style. The rooms are clean and it is quieter in them than you would think… We were also there during the biker rally and a lot of the noise was filtered out in the actual room(compared to the dining room). The bed was a little uncomfortable and the pillows made me itchy(we ran to Walmart and got some $ 2 hypoallergenic ones that worked fine). The bathroom was small, but nice. The breakfast included cereal, coffee, tea, and bagels, but that was about it… I have been to other B&B’s that give a lot more, so I was a little disappointed by this, but there are snacks out all the time, so that was a plus. Parking and internet are included.

Had a very nice time staying here while driving though town. Found by doing a Unilocal search. Called same day and booked a room with two queen beds. Staff was super helpful. Set up similar to a B&B but breakfast is continental. Lots of area information in the common spaces. Our room was huge. The two queen beds were separated by a wall, which we worried about for TV watching but ended up being fine. The home is nice, older and maybe in need of some repairs to certain places. Very charming and clean. Our room was lovely. The neighborhood seemed decent(right across from a college). Free off-street parking, free wi-fi. Must be able to get yourself and your bags up to the second floor as there is no elevator. Also, they prefer cash or checks for payment, and payment is taken before you check out. Very comfortable, clean, and nice place. If I’m in Erie again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here. Oh! And it’s inexpensive too!!!

This B&B is great! I have stayed here 3 times, once for almost a week, and it has been excellent every time. The house and architecture are beautiful, all the rooms ive stayed in have been nice and very well kept up, and the breakfast in the morning, while continental, always fills me up. I like that there is always tea/coffee/snacks out, a fridge if you have leftovers, wine glasses/corkscrew, umbrellas to borrow, maps, playing cards, etc! Staying here feels more like you are staying with a relative than at a hotel. And it is in such a great location, only a couple of blocks from the waterfront and near a ton of great restaurants(and a starbucks of course). The George Carroll house is always cheaper than many other hotels I look at when I travel to Erie, and with so many included«extras» its really worth checking out.

Loved this B&B in downtown Erie. First time visiting the town which happened to coincide with the Erie Days street fair. Really nice accommodations, air conditioned rooms, and good coffee in the morning. The home has 10 ft ceilings, wide plank floors, period wallpaper, and orig woodwork. I will say that if you are sensitive to noise there is quite a bit of that starting at 7am. The room we had was 2 connecting rooms, so the kids slept in adjoining one. This worked out very well. I wish we could have stayed another night, but it was booked.

This is a nice bed and breakfast in Erie. We were on our way to a wedding and needed a place to stay. This was a great choice. It is practically across the street from Gannon University and a close walk to the water. Very clean, very nice in a historic building. Definitely would suggest this place if you are in Erie.
