Chipotle isn’t bad, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t understand the hype. The line is long, staff seems chaotic and confused at times. I got an order of the tacos and while the taste was good, the meat had soaked the tortilla and they were split by the time I ate them. Chips and salsa cost you extra which is a turn off considering most other comparable places give you them for free. Wouldn’t really plan to come here again with so many other options in the area.

What’s the beef with Chipotle, guys? Get it? Beef?(snorts) I’ve been a fan of Chipotle since my poorer college days, when a burrito from Chipotle meant two meals. Fast forward to today, it’s a «good» meal that I can get fast. First things first, Chipotle is not«true Mexican food». It never has been, it never will be. It *is* better than Taco Bell. Once you’ve removed yourself from that expectation, you might actually be pretty happy with what you get. Their menu is a build-your-own type of deal. Choose your platform first: burrito, bowl, tacos(crispy/soft corn, soft flour), or salad. Select your«meat»: carnitas(pork), steak, chicken, barbacoa(beef), sofritas(shredded tofu), or fajita veggies. Pick any of your«filler(s)»: brown or white rice, black or pinto beans, fajita veggies. Dress it up with toppings: pico de gallo(mild), red salsa(hot), green salsa(medium), roasted corn salsa, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, cheese. Voila! I got the carnitas salad bowl with veggies, green salsa, and guacamole. I didn’t even need the provided chipotle vinagrette! It was really tasty, guys. Jamie had the carnitas burrito with all the fixings. It was enough for two meals for him(and he eats a lot). A side of chips and salsa WILL cost you(a big no no in my book). However, they do serve some beer and margaritas. Never partook in this, but maybe I will sometime in the future. The décor is minimalist, but intentionally so. This isn’t a date-night restaurant, unless you’re looking into one of my poor-college-student flash backs. The biggest negative for me was the staff. As my pal Keter mentioned, the girl at the register(probably not the same one) had a stank face on and was hardly civil, let alone courteous. The guy who made my order was also misinformed. He said that the carnitas is «unseasoned», which, per Chipotle’s website, is not true. Thankfully, it didn’t contain my allergen and I was able to eat it without any issue. Definitely get the carnitas, you guys, before you cross Chipotle off your list.

Every time I come the people are nice and speedy and the food is great, but the last two times I’ve come in they have been exceptionally fast and friendly; I’m in and out in under five minutes! Maybe I’ve just been lucky with my timing, but either way it’s been super convenient and easy. Super great staff, especially Anthony.

The cleanliness is okay, service okay, burrito wrapping skills also okay(wasn’t wrapped as well as other Chipotles I have been to). Will I come again? Only because my hubby loves thier food.

This place is faster and quicker when it comes to the food and more spacious than other locations. What I always get is a steak salad with brown rice, pinto beans, corn, mild salsa, and guacamole. Steak has a little spice to it but the guacamole evens everything out. If you don’t get guacamole, I can see why it may feel that it needs something to cool it off. Amazing food!

Not my favorite. I prefer Moe’s up the street. They need someone on duty cleaning the outside eating area and inside wiping tables and by the soda machine. Chips and salsa are extra as well as guac.

I love Chipotle, it took me a while to find the right entrée but now that I have discovered barbacoa tacos I can’t order anything else. Try this combo barbacoa soft tacos with fajita veg, mild, corn, light on sour cream, cheese and lettuce. I order guac on the side so I can get a little bit on every bite. I do also recommend the salad, but prefer it with chicken. This location is usually pretty fast, my one critique is that frequently the fajita veggies are under cooked which makes them inedible… otherwise everything is fantastic and consistent.

I’m quite upset with this Chipotle. I’ve came here before, but this time ruined it for me. My boyfriend and I ordered to go. Everyone before us received large portions of everything, but when it came to us, it was the complete opposite. My boyfriend ordered a salad with double steak, but he got more like 5 pieces of steak and I still got charged for double steak. Also, he didn’t get his guac. I got a bed of rice in what was supposed to be a bowl.

Chipotle has always had excellent fresh guacamole. In the northeast less so than in the south… However at this location on jan 7 at 5:30 the guacamole was all brown. I asked the staff if they had any more and they said the avocados all came in like that… It’s just oxidation… They didn’t seem to know what an avocado should look like. We ate elsewhere…

I have been coming to Chipotle ever since I lived out west, and when I heard that one was coming to Enfield, I was thrilled. I have been to this Chipotle several times and have never had a poor experience; I was surprised to see so many one star reviews of this place, as I have never experienced poor customer service or food quality. Everytime I come here I am greeted with a smile from an enthusiastic worker that is eager to please. The food can’t be any fresher and I like how they care about the quality of their meat and produce.

This is an updated review on the customer service at this place, which I had so shamelessly acknowledged in my last. Having brought a lunch, of sorts, but completely forgot a carb, I discussed this with my co-worker who decided to hit up this place. Embracing a similar experience in service, I was blown away by the happy greeting with a smile upon approaching the ordering station. Wow! It didn’t end there, the girls behind the counter serviced me the entire time with pleasantness and smiles! No screaming foreign languages in the background, either! In hindsight, I did complain to the chain in regards to this particular location. It seems they have stepped up their game and took my complaint(they may have had others) to heart. Glad to see great customer service isn’t completely dead! Great job Enfield Chipotle! Oh… I ordered a veggie salad… even the lettuce was fresh! No brown spots! :o)

I wasn’t too impressed with Chipolte when I had it a couple years ago, but decided to try it again. I stopped into this Enfield location, made my way up front and stood there waiting for the employee right in front of me to look up and acknowledge me. Finally he did and I ordered a steak burrito. Struggling to hear him as he mumbled I eventually created a damn burrito. The cashier asked me if I wanted a cup. I’m like for what? She’s like for water. I’m like uh ok I guess I’ll take a cup. I never did find any kind of a water dispenser so I just threw the cup out. Ok onto the«burrito». Upon unwrapping it I noticed it was all wet and looked like a folded up used diaper. The contents of both were similar. The rice was undercooked and hard. The steak was overcooked, lacked seasoning, and was loaded with pieces of gristle and fat. Almost inedible I’m spitting this shit out on my damn paper lined plastic bowl thing. Overall, service was lacking and the food sucked. There was food on the floor proving they hadn’t swept the floor. If you think this is a five star authentic Mexican Grill you are insane. Will not go back.

SLOW, SLOW, SLOW and an attitude of not caring and the customer can suffer because we are Chipotle B****! I go to Chipotle as I travel for work a lot and this one ranked pretty low. The line got longer and longer and did not move. The servers could care less that the line was out the door during a freezing rain storm. Once I got to order my potions were very skimpy for a Chipotle. The check-out girl left in the middle of ringing me up to go do other jobs and then came back to finish ringing me up. No wonder the line did not move. The food taste the same as other locations, just less of it…

So, after hearing people rave about this place for years I finally set foot in a Chipotle and got to «enjoy» some of their much-touted«Mexican» fare earlier this week. Upon entering the establishment I was struck by the décor and design which is very clean and modern, almost spartan, as if the entire place were one of those Bose stereo systems they advertise on TV. When I finally made it to the front of the line I ordered a chicken burrito with brown rice, salsa, both black and pinto beans, and both guacamole and sour cream, as well as a trio of barbacoa tacos with salsa, lettuce, cheese and sour cream. While I understand assembly of a burrito being a bit free form(some care can be put into distributing ingredients evenly though) there was zero care put into the construction of my tacos. Strike number one. The girl at the end of the line who was ringing everybody up had stank face and a stank attitude to go with it. Strike number two. When I sat down I was a little saddened by the state of my tacos which were kind of a mess, but I was extremely hungry and dug in despite any trepidation regarding their appearance. They were okay. The barbacoa looks very school lunch caffeteria-y and has a sort of chemical, metal flavor to it, the cheese is ultimately flavorless, and the salsa(I assume it’s the salsa) gives every bite an overwhelming lime flavor. The chicken burrito suffered from the same overall citrus flavor explosion which basically made nothing in the burrito taste like the thing it was supposed to be. Additionally, the lack of giving a eff about the construction of the burrito meant that there were pockets of just one ingredient throughout the thing. Strike number three. Finally, the clientele of this place was something I just couldn’t wrap my mind around. They can only be described as… modern day Yuppies? I’m not talking about the gentrifying hipster, or the too cool for school scenester here. These people were on some neo-Stepford young not-exactly-urban because it’s mostly rural Enfield-professionals ish and their loud conversations about hilarious-but-not-hilarious-at-all New Millennium Yuppie stuff was pretty offputting. This was particularly baffling since it was in Enfield which I associate more with townies and your random youth culture alternative types. Can we say strike out? All that said, I have no plans to return to Chipotle. The atmosphere is okay, and the clientele abominable, but the food, for all the hype and the over-inflated prices, just isn’t good.

I previously wrote a good review, back when this location was new. The, while bland, is fairly good, in a «not bad» kind of way. I figured the staff issues were just that of a new location and new staff. The big problem is that they aren’t getting any better, and in fact, getting worse. The staff is just plain incompetent. About half of them are rude and obviously just don’t care. Here’s a quiz: you hear a girl screaming from the bathroom, what do you do? Well, if you’re one of the steroid jockeys sitting 10 feet from the door, nothing. If you’re a staff member at Chipotle, nothing. A young girl was stuck in the bathroom behind the obscenely heavy doors, which I opened. When I got back to the register, which is where I heard the screams from, the person«Tomilee» nonchalantly mentions, «yeah, you should take two people with you.» That will be my last visit to Chipotle, and hope they get a visit from a safety inspector. Their staff is abominable, their food bland. And a special nod to the people of Connecticut who happily munched away on their food while listening to a little girl screaming for help. You truly disgust me.

This is the worst Chipotle location that I’ve ever been to. I’ve now gone on three different occasions and it hasn’t really improved at all. The service is poor, the cleanliness is non-existant, the design of the space is really odd for a Chipotle, and it just barely tastes like Chipotle. I’m not sure how the franchise owner can screw up the taste of Chipotle, but it just doesn’t taste right. I like Chipotle when it’s done right, and it’s clearly the best of the casual burrito joints. This location is just not a good representation of their brand or service. Prepare for a long wait even with a short line, prepare for dirty tables and floors, prepare for a rather tasteless burrito, and crummy service. Drive to another location!

I’ve become a begrudgingly huge fan of Chipotle. I used to be a Moe’s guy, and Moe’s is good. But I find myself here more. The environment is spartan and simple. The menu is small, but the food tastes so fresh. I love how you can get brown rice on your burrito. The service is excellent and the staff always provides an excellent experience. I have an awesome tip for you! You’ll thank me! Download the app for your smartphone and order your meal ahead of time. Then go right to the register and skip the long… LONG line. You’re welcome.
