Finally one closer to my hood! Place is clean and well maintained crew is courteous and the Donuts made fresh! Went here on a late snack drive and was not busy at all but after I got my order, people started pouring in. Donuts are consistent with the ones I had in Philippines, NYC, and glad they set one up closer to home, I haven’t been to the Santa Monica DD but this one will do nicely! Parking can be a pain coz other restaurants share the lot but there is other parking by smart and final close by

My 5 stars aren’t for the donuts, but for Robert. To be greeted by such an enthusiastic young man on a Friday night for donuts was unexpected. This dude makes the unhealthy practice of ingesting tons of sugar a fun, exciting, and most of all, entertaining experience. Oh, and it’s obvious that he not only loves his job, but his customers just as much! Thanks for making our boring Friday night a blast, Robert!

Since my last review, I’ve been back three times. Doughnuts are fresh now and nicer staff. The parking is always bad here but they are worth the wait and trip. I’m officially loving dunkin donuts !

Donuts are donuts… unless they’re really bad. I’ve always liked their donuts and coffee. People that say they have changed from 20 years ago may have new taste buds… I’m actually writing today because the employees went above and beyond to a pain in the butt guy in front of me in line. It was National Donut Day so the place was packed with people that seemingly have never gone to a donut shop. The 50 something year old in front of me seems like he’d been to a donut store before… but thought he owned it. As he was ordering his dozen, he kept vaguely pointing to sections of donuts and asking for specific donuts but giving the wrong description of what the donut looked like. He then would get annoyed with the employee when she couldn’t understand what he was asking for. I laughed to myself during this process but thought about how annoyed I would have been. He did that for almost the whole dozen! I thought it was a joke. Then he raises his voice louder and gets more frustrated when he is told he had to by a drink to get a free donut for National Donut Day. There were only about 10 signs stating that fact and a line out the door… so he had plenty of time to read some signage. The gal explained it once more and then with his increased agitation, gave him donut for free… he acted like a toddler. All that and the gal behind the counter had a smile on her face and treated him with respect and dignity. Wow! I was super impressed with her and embarrassed for him… Great job Dunkin’ Donuts team!

My first time at Dunkin Donuts and I was quite impressed. Picked up some donuts for the office. Very clean store with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating area. I got there early in the morning so the donuts were very fresh. I wish they had more of a selection. They don’t have apple fritters or bear claws, which are my favorites! I’d definitely go back here again.

We have waited about 25 years for the return of Dunkin’ Donuts to Southern California. When the word arrived a few years back that the company was planning to re-enter the California market, we were excited. As everyone knows, there are thousands of Mom-and-Pop donut shops in L.A. and they all make the same product: sugar bombs. Donuts that could melt the enamel off your teeth. When Dunkin’ was here all those many years ago, they were the one place that differentiated themselves from all the rest. They made fluffy, plump donuts that went easier on the sugar content than the competition. Though we had to drive a ways to locate a Dunkin’ franchise, it was always well worth the trip. Expectations were high when the Encino franchise opened. We hurried in shortly after the opening. Sadly, the donuts produced today do not come close to the quality Dunkin’ was producing back in the 90’s. The donuts are smaller, a bit dry, and fillings skimpy. Gone is the light fluffy texture. On top of that, prices have more than doubled from the 90’s. Criminal! How could this be? The world is mired in a commodity price depression. The cost of EVERYTHING that goes into a donut has been more than cut in half in the past four or five years. Even energy costs have been decimated. How could the company possibly justify skimping on the baking of a donut? Well after further researching this, we come to find out that Dunkin’ has completely changed its method of operations. Not long after the company exited the California market, the business model changed and the franchise owners no longer make the donuts on the premises. Everything is done in a factory. No wonder the donuts are dry, bland, and skimpy. So why should we expect to go to a Dunkin’ outlet expecting fresh product when the dining experience is no better than going to a grocery store and purchasing a box of donuts? Very sad to see a once-great franchise fall so far. Another company sacrificing quality for profits. We won’t be dining here again. Dunkin’, you may as well get out of CA once again. Don’t let the door hit you on the backside on the way out.

Those munchkins are the damn DEVIL!!! It also doesn’t help that I work across the street. So much for my diet! 10 assorted munchkins(doughnut holes) plus a large coffee will cost you about $ 6&20 extra sit ups. The large coffee is rather big so unless your running on fumes you might want to opt for a smaller size. Every time I’ve come in this spot is always clean, the workers are always friendly and the coffee is always good. Now if I could just stop craving the munchkins I could get back to my healthy eating…

Being a native Bostonian, I missed Dunkin Donuts. I was searching for coffee & this place came up as a result; time for a trip down Amnesia Lane… I walked in and was struck by how many obese people were in there, gorging themselves O_o Ok, appetite gone, let’s get some coffee. Me: Can I get a coffee? DD: What flavor do you want? Me: Uhhh, coffee flavor?! DD: Do you want a whipped, overly sugared, full of artificial flavor, frapped cup of @#!$? Me: As tempting as that sounds, just a plain cup of coffee. I could feel the eyes rolling as I left; «what a weirdo, just plain coffee, no donuts»

I can’t believe that DD is in Encino, I think I’ve been sheltered or under a rock during this whole time. I am super excited that DD is here so whenever I’m going 10MPH on the 101 and the Balboa exit is near, I’m going to exit to get my Medium Iced Latte at DD.

Can you do minus STARS on here! Horrible Donuts! I’ve read reviews that these donuts are better than Krispy Kreme. Really??? I don’t think so, an employee must of wrote that review. Donuts look old and chewy, glaze and frosting look several days old. One bite and that’s all it took. All going in the trash. My dogs wouldn’t even eat them. WOW!!! Starbucks sandwiches and even there glazed donuts are better then this spot. I guess the overall 3 star reviews speak for them selfs.

DoNut get it twisted, I like dunkin donuts! But I had to bite off a star… Dunkin is nostalgic to me. I grew up with it being the only donut shop around. When I moved to LA and DD was non existent, it became a ritual stop to go to dunkin when in Las Vegas! The donuts are good! They have more of a cake texture when compared to Krispy Kreme. Both delicious in their own unique way! Their coffee is good when purchased flavored(I.e., iced mocha) This particular location: Donut flavors are consistent with other chains. The reason why I’m giving this particular location a –1 is because the staff that helped me had zero motivation to be there. She was rushing my order when there was no line and after I paid, she didn’t say a word, walked away to chat with her coworkers in the back, and didn’t even hand me my box which was still out of my reach behind the counter. I had to ask another employee to hand it to me. I understand this is likely«just a part-time job» for her but this is a part time job at Dunkin freakin donuts! Donut ruin the experience with negative energy. I would understand if she was just having a bad day but it was clear that she was not as she was immediately laughing with her coworkers in the back. Service is a huge part of any food establishment so I’m pretty bummed about taking off 1-star. Place looked clean. Good amount t of seating, parking was easy.

Clean place friendly staff. Bagels suck. I guess you don’t go to a donut shop for bagels. I ordered two onion bagels they had no onions on them and weird texture. My latte tastes great though !!

I feel a little bad that I am giving this place a low rating. This place has been hyped by so many people, and it has been compared to with Krispy Kreme, and it practically being the donut shop of the east coast. I definitely was intrigued to try Dunkins out since it finally came to socal, especially so close. I’m not so much of a donut person(I am more on cupcakes, and ice cream), but I will try it out if I hear about it often. We decided to order a dozen assorted, and a 25 piece munchkin assorted(that’s what the donut holes are called here right?). When we finally got to try it, they were heavy and hard donuts. They didn’t seem that fresh, and was not completely satisfying in eating them. The only one I found enticing were the blueberry munchkin, and even that was still lacking. The crème/custard filled ones weren’t that bad, and the chocolate glaze was actually palatable when I heated it up. The donuts overall were kind of regretful, and I don’t necessarily need to rush here fulfill my donut fix. Why I think I am not impressed with Dunkins is because it does not compare to the freshly made, and interesting donut shops we have all throughout the LA area. There’s the most recognizable big donut company Krispy Kreme Then there’s other small businesses that are exceptional with donuts, like California Donuts in Ktown, or DK’s or Sidecar in Santa Monica, and one of my favorites Donut Friend in Silverlake. I guess I really shouldn’t compare though, I mean this is a chain afterall. As a chain I understand why it’s doing well, but as a donut shop, it really just is another donut shop.

Don’t laugh… but Bravo Dunkin Donuts for having egg whites and turkey sausage! Yes, yes, I know people come here for the donuts and usually I do… but on the occasion I want«fast food» I can now have it with a healthy option. It’s kind of funny that I came to a donut shop for something healthy but the truth is I didn’t. I came in for a donut and left with a breakfast sandwich. That doesn’t always happen! There’s only one thing I love more than donuts and that is breakfast food. I can eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I’ll never get tired of it. So thank you Dunkin Donuts for having food options for everyone. You are one of my new favorite spots. Granted the breakfast food doesn’t taste amazing but it’s $ 5 and it’s a breakfast sandwich which fits my needs. Over the moon happy! The funniest thing about this review might be that I have lost the breakfast sandwich pictures and only have a picture of the donut I once got here! LOL

Finally! I got to try dunkin’ donuts. I have been trying to see what all the fuss was about for a donut place originally famous in the east coast. As more and more dunkin donuts locations came up in Santa monica, Culver city, and now encino, I was glad to come try it. They have breakfast sandwiches, coffee(hot, iced and blended), & of course donuts! They have a sufficient line system(2 lines separated with a shelf of items to purchase) with laminated menus to get an idea of the different donut and drink options before you get to the cashier. The two times I have been here the lines were quick and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to hang out. There are a lot of outlets so you can bring your laptop and get some work done. This is the closest donut shop to my house, so I’ll most likely be back… and maybe get diabetes because of it jk lol

My daughter’s co workers got her a bunch of donuts for her 18th birthday yesterday. She brought some home last night, and since I have never tried Dunkin, i took a bite of the 3 flavors. All of them were very dry and not sweet at all. The one with the white icing was the best one, but still not really good. Not sure what all the hype is about. I wouldn’t waste my calories on these again. Maybe the other options are better, but in this case they looked much prettier than they tasted for sure!

SHUTTHEFRONTDOOR! Where have I been? I just found out that there is a DD in the valley recently. On 7÷29÷15 I was being discharged from the hospital & I have requested my hubby to get a dozen donuts from DD to give to the day nurse that did a WONDERFUL job caring for me. Of course, who would say«no» to donuts! You must be NUTS if you did. To make things easier, my hubby requested for an assortment & the DD team member picked the flavors for him. There isn’t a flavor I didn’t like. My FAVORITE is still the Blueberry Cake. What I love about the donuts are the flavors. The blueberry taste like blueberries without tasting artificial. I also like the texture of the donut. It’s also BEST to wash it down with a cup of DD coffee. We showed our gratitude & handed the nurse the box & said thank you & I can tell that she was doing the happy dance deep down with a twinkle in her eye! The over all experience that my husband reported were good. Team members were friendly & the shop was kept clean. When I arrived at home from the hospital, I found a box full of DD! It was a very nice surprise. Thanks DD for brighting my day!

The East Coaster in me made me join in and stand in the long slow moving line! Lol This place is brand new and unfortunately not organized at all, hence long lines! They really need to figure out a smarter system & train the staff better. 2 lines but 1 lady was so pissed she left. She was about 3 people ahead of me when I arrived, yet my line moved way faster. I don’t blame her. She said one girl took 15mins to order, and she wasn’t exaggerating since I witnessed 10mins of it! I offered the woman behind her to go in front of me, but she smiled & declined saying she wasn’t in a rush for donuts. Even though she was clearly frustrated as well. It definitely brings back memories. Tastes and smells just like it did back East. Not saying it’s the best, but it is better than most donut chains. I wouldn’t rush back. I’ll wait till the madness wears off.
