I’m convinced the positive reviews for this place must be written by the staff, owners, or managers. This location has terrible service, the waitress was entirely inattentive to her table. She never bothered to refill our water, make any effort to clear our table of dishes, or even bring out the correct food. Food was ordered and promptly forgotten; sides were completely abandoned by the wayside, and she never once asked if anyone in my party wanted another drink. The food we did receive came out incorrectly; absolutely nowhere near what is described in their booklet for temperature. Steak was cooked close to well when ordered medium rare. As someone who works in the hospitality and service industry, I can fully and honestly say that there is no hospitality or service here. For a table of three that ordered drinks, appetizers, main courses, the server did not perform any service that can justify any form of gratuity, let alone what is suggested. It’s as if the waitress thought she must’ve done a good job because I chose to order a high check average, and made the mistake of believing that that she had provided the table with suitable hospitality. Servers in this industry have been fired for less, at restaurants of a lower standard of service. Some reading this review may think I may have been a difficult guest. I assure you that I was perhaps the most pleasant guest a server could ask for. I was polite, ordered everyone’s meal in one go, no substitutions, nothing outside the menu. I ordered drinks, the server never had to suggest anything to me or my party in order to build up the check average. But the unbelievable amount of pure neglect for a table, clearly demonstrates that this particular evening’s staff simply did not have any considerations for their guests. It is as if the attitude from the staff was they had to take this job and this job was a punishment for them. They simply are not fit to work in the service industry. The fact that I can truthfully state that I received better service from a first-time worker, his first week in the service industry at a nearby diner, speaks volumes to the disgusting manner with which the staff of this establishment comport themselves. The only reason I did not bring any of this, frankly stated, abuse of my party, to the management, was because I saw no need to create conflict in front of my family or cause a scene in public. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. The place exists solely because of the brand of Outback Steakhouse, this establishment itself does not deserve your business.

This is one of the best steakhouse in the elmhurst area. The food is delicious. I came to outback tonight after a long day, my boyfriend are thankful for their awesome service. The waiter(Carlos if the receipt is correct) was great he served us a margarita pitcher which was very much worth it. He was very pleasant and helpful. The food was great and did not take long.

Food is OK, service not so good. Our server was slammed and either he didn’t ask for help or no one offered to help. Had to go over to the hostess to get my order.. A large group came in after us and they got more attention than us. Two servers guess you have to. Come in with a big group in order for the staff to pay attention to you.

We’ve been going to this Outback location for a few years now. There have always been some service issues, but it has improved markedly very recently. I understand they are under new ownership/management, and it absolutely shows. From the moment you walk in the door, everything is better. The food is always terrific, and there seems to be more managerial presence now. The servers are friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect, right in a mall with plenty of parking. Definitely a great place to stop in for some delicious food at affordable prices.

Horrible place. The Victoria filet mignon is a burger meat! The drinks are tasteless and the service is below average.

Always delicious food. For a table on busy nights like Friday or Saturday you’ll have to wait about 40 min but it really worth it. I’ve been there many times and each time I want to come back. They have amazing steaks abs nice cocktails. Don’t know what to order? Always start with their delicious bread and homemade salad, this salad is best from what they have in my opinion. Also for appetizers I recommend coconut shrimp or grilled shrimp if you like seafood. For drinks my choice is Peach Sangria or Aussie Rum Punch. Putting four stars because I didn’t like a waitress last time, she behaved like she couldn’t wait us to free table but usually I find their employees really helpful and well-mannered. Once I though I lost my wallet in Outback and everyone was so helpful!

It was a horrible experience. I should’ve taken it as a sign when we walked in and it was empty. Although it was empty, we waited over 20 minutes to be seated on a Saturday night. We ordered the pork porterhouse. The waiter proceeded to tell us they were out of it. Then we ordered the new special of crab cakes. The waiter took the order in and came back 10 minutes later stating they ran out of that as well. I wound up eating an appetizer for dinner that I couldn’t even finish because the amount of salt in it would’ve probably given me a heart attack. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We got here at about 6:15 and were seated right away. I was surprised, given it was dinner time on a Sunday. We had a waitress by the name of Molly and she was great; very attentive. Overall the food we ordered was great. Will come back soon.

Before eating here I had high expectations of this place and was really looking forward to eating here. When the time came this place looked really nice and the server Tisha was really friendly and nice. She provided us with service whenever we needed it. She constantly came back to us to make sure we were all satisfied with the food and the service and to make sure our drinks were always filled. She always had a smile on her face which made it very easy to communicate with her because I know if she didn’t it would be kinda awkward The food was always very good. The steakthat I had was a very good portion that filled me up and the fries we’re very tasty as well as the cheesecake. In the end all of us were very satisfied and very full. I would definitely come back and eat here again.

«Only go because you can park in a sheltered garage» The food is only fair and overpriced. We only ate here because the weather was freezing and we didn’t wish to walk far in the cold. I had an overcooked strip steak. My husband had the rib steak. It was a bit fatty. The server was slow and disinterested. There was no bread available. How do you run a family style restaurant without bread? The salads were frozen, literally frozen. The cucumbers were ice cubes. Do not bother eating here unless you have to.

It’s very unfortunate. Elmhurst is now swarming with corporate chain restaurants and the service at each has been abysmal. Outback is no exception. My boyfriend and I come in on a Monday night and are promptly seated at the bar area. We wait and wait, see servers and busboys and what appears to be a manager walking around and no one comes over to wait on us. I’m just about ready to put on my coat and walk out when the poor bartender finally comes over to take out orders. Apparently he’s tending the bar and taking orders too. We attempt to place our orders and are told that they’re out of porterhouse and ribeye, the biggest steak they have is NY strip! Totally unacceptable. We place our orders and then it’s back to the waiting game. We waited a ridiculous amount of time for our drinks and for the bread. No apologies were issued. Never mind that the place is damn near empty on a Monday night. Prompt and friendly service doesn’t exist at this place. It’s such a shame. This area is really starting to boom but you can’t get a decent meal anywhere without shitty service. Corona/Elmhurst has always been my home and it sucks having to go out to Long Island just to get good customer service.

Came here twice with my dad during the week at lunch time, and each time we had friendly, attentive waiter/waitress service. Not just pleasant, but they readily smiled, made conversation, and actually appeared interested when we were talking(hey you don’t have to actually BE interested, but just fake it!). We never had a wait during the weekdays, and because of our lunch hour, it was never crowded, we always were able to get a booth, and the noise level was pleasant and quiet. I have to say in general, the food is never anything special. It’s good, hearty, but not unique in flavor. I enjoy the bread loaves and whipped butter(light and creamy!), and their bloomin onion. The garlic mashed are nicely whipped, but overly salty. Vegetables that come on the side are crisp and hearty. Best broccoli stalk ever! Steamed carrots and squash, are neutral and balance out the salt. I’m sure they salt the vegs too though. Burgers have thin patties, and since I get mine medium rare, they have always been juicy.

I have been to this location 2 times prior and had an excellent experience. This place week that i went was not such a great experience. I get that restaurants and people have off days. But this time was just horrendous. My husband had to ask for his dr pepper quite a few times. Our bread came out 20 mins late. And his entrée came out before his salad. I definitely wont be going back here for a while.

This place is located inside the mall, next to best buy, from outside it doesn’t look so appealing. But it’s actually very pretty inside. The sofa cushions on booth are horrible, very uncomfortable. Our waiter was quick to greet, had a good knowledge of the menu and offered us bread while we waited for our food. The food took a while to come but our bread and appetizer kept us busy for at least 5 – 8 minutes. The restrooms were so dirty, paper towels everywhere, the door to one of the stalls were broken… I’m not sure if I will be returning because our food was not satisfying.

My mom loves Outback and this is where she wanted to go for Easter Dinner. Most Outbacks I’ve been to(and I’ve been to many in the tri-state) have been consistent in taste and quality and this location was no different. Located inside the Queens Place Mall, the venue attracts an assortment of people including many with young children. I would not come here on a date unless you’d both previously confessed your love for Outback surf & turf. The food was generally okay, with the exception of a few standout items. Here’s a breakdown of the appetizers: Bloomin’ Onion — To me it tasted like herb crusted fried flour. Everyone else at the table liked, though. Coconut Shrimp — Always a winner. Shrimp were decent sized and the orange marmalade was delicious. We had two orders. Crab Stuffed Mushrooms — I’ve had this before and I don’t know why I got it again. The mushroom caps were filled with a cream sauce and there was no distinguishable crab meat in it. I still ate it, but as one of the more expensive appetizers I would think it would be better. Side Salad — Basic side. Same as you’d get at any diner. As a main all four of us got the same thing — the $ 14.99 surf & turf special. The meal came with a 5 oz signature sirloin and a lobster tail. This is a great deal! With the exception of one person in our group who complained that his steak tasted like it had been sitting next to a piece of liver, all of our steaks were cooked to the right temperature, tender and well seasoned. My asparagus was overcooked but the waitress, who was very sweet and patient on this busy night(Jessica from Illinois) let me replace the asparagus with an order of broccoli without problem. The lobster — I’ve been to a number of high end lobster spots but this Outback takes the cake. The lobster was juicy and flavorful. Grilled perfectly! It didn’t need any extra butter. Next time I come here I might just get the twin lobster tails.

Location: Right next to the escalator within the same mall as Target. Service: On point, been here three times with no issues. Food: I am not sure why all the bad reviews. I mainly come here for the blooming union. The bloomin onion is slamming!!! Hot, Fresh, Crispy, and the dip in the middle is sooo tasty. BTW: If you’re looking for fish or chicken then go to red lobster! This is a steak place duh.
