Pizza Bell

I went to pizza bell while visiting my mom. I ordered the garlic bread sticks, I believe. They were great! I loved the combination of parmesan, garlic and oil. My fiancé got a cal zone and said it was very good. But my mom is vegan and it is very difficult to find vegan options. Pizza bell offers a whole vegan menu! And a great vegan menu! Vegan pizzas and vegan bread sticks! It seems that the vegan menu is a newer addition. Definitely worth a try!!!

I love going to this place with my son one of the very few pizza places that still have games in the pizza is decent not like the trash you get at Chuck E cheese even my son enjoys herself there and I can watch the TVs any great pizza even the wings are good

Vegans, rejoice! Another local restaurant has seen the light. Went here with a couple of fellow vegans last night to sample their selection of vegan fare, and we weren’t disappointed. The Twisters were my favorite: hot, chewy, cheesy, garlicky, bread-​y goodness, with marinara and vegan ranch dressing for dippin’. (The ranch, notably, tastes more like blue-​cheese — but still good.)
The garlic chip was also pretty good: garlick and vegan-​cheese baked onto pizza crust, with the aforementioned dipping sauces. I’d likely skip this in the future in favor of the Twisters, were I to go with appetizers.
We also ordered a vegan pizza and calzone, both of which were very tasty. The pizza (we ordered the spring veggie) was loaded with yummy vegetables and had the perfect amount of vegan cheese and marinara. The crust was thick and satisfying. Good stuff.
The calzone was enormous and also delicious: yummy dough brimming with veggie filling and faux cheese. It came with dipping sauce, a pickle, peppers — and a small bag of chips, for some reason.
The restaurant itself reminded me of a classic 1980s pizza parlor: cozy and a touch divey. There were a couple of TVs, too, for those who can’t stand to miss the game or whatever else while they dine. The staff was pleasant and efficient, and they brought out our food in a timely manner.
All in all, I enjoyed my visit to Pizza Bell and would likely come again. It’s a bit of a schlep from where I live, and it’s not the only vegan-​pizza player in town (e.g. Hot Italian) — but it’s definitely worth a visit.

Decent pizza. Horrible service very slow and the manager is VERY RUDE… Accused us of stealing wings when they were delivered to our table with the number on it. Claimed that we stole them and ate them and they were for another customer. After explaining to her they were in fact our and showing her the receipt she simply walked away and did not even apologize for accusing us of stealing. Ruined our entire experience I will never come back again. It’s sad cause it next to our house and we had 9 people with us and spent 150 bucks on food that night.

Excellent family pizzeria in Elk Grove. We’ve reserved the back area for a party and enjoyed our service there. The services for dining in, pick up and drivers have all been a fantastic experience.

Pizza Bell has always had the best pizza in the Sacramento area, but now they have outdone themselves by offering a FULL VEGAN MENU!!! Everything on the vegan menu is delicious, and I would know because I tried it all, just couldn’t help myself. I think my favorite item is the veganized PB Twisters with vegan ranch sauce closely followed by the vegan calzone. If you are a vegan you know how rare it is to find a restaurant that will take the time to create a vegan menu, so rush over there now and order the whole shebang! Thank you so much Pizza Bell for being so kind and accommodating. The food was delicious and I will definitely eat it more than I should!

This place is our family’s go to pizza place in Elk Grove. Their combination and pepperoni pizzas are our favorites! Great customer service too! ;) Always satisfied.

Holy cow this used to be the go to pizza place in Elk Grove. One of the original local pizza places (I miss the Pizza Barn too). This place used to be AMAZING, but unfortunately it has gone to crap…
Staff is not friendly whatsoever. The prices are WAY too high compared to other pizza places, and the change in management has definitely meant a change in quality.
I am affording Pizza Bell 2 stars due to the fact that while the restaurant has really gone down hill, the taste of the pizza remains decent. The recipes are the same as they were before so the taste saves Pizza Bell from a 1 star review. The fact that they seem to always have some kind of sport on their TV’s is another plus if you like to watch games.
Simply put, I just don’t like coming here nearly as much as I used to. What was an amazing pizza place is now just a childhood memory. If I want a tasty pizza I won’t typically be willing to pay the prices of Pizza Bell.

The pizza was delicious. One of the best combo pizza I ever had (p.b supreme).
Only complain I have is their prices. Way too expensive for a pizza. (medium p. b supreme $ 21.49) not trying to be cheap just fair. 5 star for the pizza. I’m sure that’s why people rate for right?

This is only for Lunch all-​you-​eat review. It is a great lunch pizza lunch. The salad bar is great, the pizza is great, and the soda is great. Overall, I think that this place is great. The service for the lunch was good.

Great pizza. Their best thing is the PB twisters! you gotta get some.

Very good service and good food. The salad bar is always fresh and crisp. The Pizza and Calzones and packed with flavor and very tasty. My only gripe is the Calzone need to be a little crisper. Maybe a couple of slits in the top to help some moisture escape? All in all and very solid place to eat pizza!

Honestly very disappointed from our visit yesterday.
I’ve come to this location 3 times previously to yesterdays visit.
On previous visits, all were for the lunch time buffet since i work close by, salad bar is fresh, pizza has been good and hot, they even made the pizza’s we’ve requested.
Whats always lacking is the customer service. When we walk in the employees are in the back and we have to wait or call out to be helped. Very unenthusiastic. Is friendly and quick service too much to ask for? When asking the employees to get something it feels like I’ve burdened them in some way, not a good feeling/​
Now on yesterdays visit, we went on a company lunch to Pizza Bell, which was my idea since I’ve liked the pizza on previous visits. BUT pizza was cardboard and cold! We asked them to make a pizza we came especially for, and were told no, we don’t make specialty pizzas for the buffet! Never heard that until this visit, and we even called ahead to request it! So i guess i paid $ 9.71 for cold pizza and salad. We asked if they could change the channel, it was some depressing segment on, and the employee said ok. 20 minutes later no change and she asks, oh did you still want me to change it? No, cause we were walking out by then.
Overall now, one bad pizza experience isn’t too big of a deal considering previous visits BUT the 4 bad experiences with customer service, i don’t know that i will come here again.

Pizza Bell is ok, but it’s gotten too expensive to be worth it, in my opinion.
I’ve been coming here my whole life, starting with pizza parties after childhood soccer games and ending with the lunch buffet being an infamous tradition in my family. I have almost never patronized Pizza Bell outside of the lunch buffet because just about every where else is cheaper and tastes better. However, the buffet used to be where it was at. It includes soda, salad bar, garlic sticks, cinnamon sticks and pizza. I feel like it was about $ 6 for a long time, but in the last three years or so, they just keep raising and raising their prices. It’s now $ 9.71 (that includes tax) and they pretty much only use pepperoni and canadian bacon for meats (when asked if they’d put out a garlic chicken pizza, they told me they don’t do any «premium meats» for the buffet).
When I say the pizza is just ok, I think what I don’t love about it is the crust. I guess it’s a little thick and tough, maybe. I’m not exactly sure how to describe it. All in all, I think it’s safe to say I’ve had my last meal at Pizza Bell and I’m sad to say it.

We always come here after our softball games. The food is always good, the salad bar is fresh and has a good amount of choices. There prices a very fair for a quality pizza. Need some new lights on the back half of the store, kinda hard to see the food but always a blast. Only pizza place worth going to in Elk Grove.

I grew up eating here, so maybe I’m a bit bias.. But it’s the best pizza place I’ve ever eaten. Seeing as pizza is one of my favorite foods, I tend to be super picky. You cannot go wrong with their PB twisters. Like garlic, fluffy, bread sticks with ranch and marinara. Their ranch is hard to beat. It’s home made and perfect every single time. Delivery is also available.
Personally, I order pineapple, olive, and fresh tomatoes on my pizza, but I’ve also had their pepperoni and meat or combination, which is good too!
Staff tends to be young and not super upbeat, but that’s not a problem for me. They get the job done right every time.

Wow where to begin. Beware of crappy customer service!
Monday night, our family came in to enjoy pizza after a school program. We were hungry, it was around 7:30pm. The place had three/​four families in the entire pizza place.
We walk in to 4 staff members standing around doing nothing, giving blank stares. No one ever said hello or welcome.
We start to order. My sister in law had a coupon for I believe it was $ 15 off a purchase of $ 30 or more. She began to order when my husband asked for the specials of the day. The girl at the counter (Arlena was her name.) began to explain then said with a loud tone, «you cannot use your coupon with this special!!» Ok, so we order separate to get the most out of our money. Wouldn’t anyone do that? Anyway, she got pretty upset from that point on. Rolling eyes and getting frustrated. Wow just wow.
Anyway.order two large pizzas, sodas.beer.salad bars. Salad was disgusting! It was all brown and nasty looking iceberg lettuce. Yuck! Didn’t look appetizing to me so I went to look for a place to sit.
There was no tables cleaned, granted-​they did have a party in the party area but why wouldn’t it have been cleaned if staff was standing around? So we ask for a table to be cleaned. What seemed like the manager asks a young kid in the back to buss the table. he must have said no or something so they get some older woman to come and do it. I mean really? Seemed like a joke to me. She came out & had it cleaned up super quickly. Probably the only positive of the whole experience. She’s been around since I was little. I remember faces!
As we sit down, my sister in law goes to grab her salad and over hears the rude female employee at the register high five-​ing the pizza makers and other manager type figure and saying, «good job! You guys are so bad but so good!» Well damn! That left a bad feeling in my stomach. Did you tamper with my food? Did you say something rude about our family?!?
Screw this! We ask for a refund, hand them all our stuff back and take off to mountain mikes down the street! Great, appreciative service there and excellent pizza. You all here at pizza bell should take some tips from them!
I’ve been coming to this place since I was little. never had a problem. Even have had my kids’ birthdays here a couple times… and everyone has always been very courteous and helpful.
Something has changed! You will never have our business again. Work on your customer service people! Disappointed beyond belief!

I really like their pizza and only giving a 2 stars for the rude gal at the front counter. Came in on March 20 for dinner, ordered pizza and beer. Sat down, poured my beer and after taking a sip, found that there was a chip in the glass right where my lip was. Fortunately I did not cut my lip. I went to the counter, told the gal, she took my glass, poured out the beer, put the glass in with other glasses, and refilled my beer without saying a word. I was not asking for anything other than a «oh no, sorry about that, we will throw this glass away» But I felt she was rude in her actions. Practice your customer service skills, as it’s because of us, your customers, that you have a job!
