Overall bad customer service! First, they got the order wrong and had to deliver it in two trips. Then, they took over 1 hr each time and the food was delivered cold. And, we got charged twice and management was«unable» and unwilling to credit the card used. Finally, we had to go in person to get cash for their mistake. Would not recommend ever!

Pretty good pizza but the entrees and pastas are much better than most pizza places and certainly most chains

This was our first time here. The place is packed. We checked the rating before we came and it was a 4. I don’t know how. My linguine shrimp was cold and my son’s chicken was hard and almost non existent. We won’t be coming back. Waiter came up an apologize. He gave us $ 10.00 off our order. That was nice of him.

Got a pizza to go on the way home from golf at cache creek. Met james. Nice guy very personable. Took a pizza to go. Phone order was perfect. Waitress was really cool too! Perfect pizza can’t go wrong. Going to be my go to spot after golf on the way home … Tip: dip your crust in the spicy French sauce … Next time I’ll stay for a beer.

After having enjoyed Original Pete’s food and service at the old Howe Ave, Natomas, and El Dorado Hills locations, we went to the Elk Grove location today for lunch. Arrived at 11:30 am to find two booths occupied. The host sat us next to a couple of women, one of whom made it a point to ensure that everyone within six blocks could hear about her work issues. With the whole place empty, why do hosts insist on stacking customers one on top of another? If that was’t bad enough, the server was nowhere to seen; after sitting there 10 minutes, she showed up to deliver food to one booth, then took the order for the other booth, and walked off completely ignoring us. After waiting another 5 minutes, we got up and left in disgust. Sitting there listening to someone’s work issues combined with blasting hard music from the sound system was bad enough, but being completely ignored in a mostly empty restaurant is inexcusable. Sorry Pete’s but you won’t see this face again.

Beer was cold, Onion ring appetizer was not home made. Frozen from a package.(per Waiter when asked) Pizza lacked flavor… sauce was not outstanding and the dough was tasteless. just moved to Elk Grove and will be trying to find a better place for Pizza nights.

The best combination pizza around. The crust is moist and the ingredients is fresh. We order this pizza almost once a week. I would definitely recommend it.

Food is good, service is reasonably good, ambience is nice — all in all not a bad place to come for some pizza, some salad and some appetizers. Dress is very informal. Easy access from Elk Grove Blvd. and I5.

Staying in Elk Grove at the Holiday Inn Express after a late meeting and the guys at the front desk said there was a cool pizza/Italian place right next door when I asked what was close for dinner. And they had alcohol. Beer and wine only but hey! Clean and brightly lit. And everyone was so friendly. Ordered the lobster ravioli and it was very good. The dinner salad didn’t come with much on it but the waiter asked what I wanted on it and hee added beans and corn and onions and it was very nice. And for dessert the simple scoop of ice cream they made a sundae for me. Excellent service and atmosphere. I would definitely come back. Thanks guys.

I was really pleased with my stop in to Original Pete’s. Party of four — two adults and two children. The food and service was excellent. The variety on the kids’ menu was great. I ordered a salmon dish with pasta and it was incredibly good. All diners were delighted with their meals. Wonderful, but pricey. Would definitely go back again. Nice walking distance from the hotel where we were staying.

This place has some truly amazing pizza. I’m from out of town and really wanted a good pizza place. I saw that this was nearby, courtesy of Unilocal.Turns out they would deliver to the hotel I was staying at! I ordered the Pete’s Chicken Combo and the Sergeant’s Pepper pizzas. So good! I don’t think I’ve had better anywhere else.

First Unilocal review ever but I feel its long overdue for this Pete’s location. Last time I ordered spaghetti with meatballs togo, get home… no meatballs. Call the restaurant to let them know, blew me off. Said«why don’t you come back and pick up your meat balls.» Really? Thanks but no thanks. Fast forward to today(1 month). Sat down and had an appetizer and a beer. The wings are decent and the beer is cold. $ 22. I place an order to go $ 58. 1 request– no CONDIMENTS on my hamburger, I guess that meant extra mustard/mayo/ketchup to BOTH sides of BUNS. Really? They didn’t forget to add $ 3 for the bacon. I called when I got home, first they said cook must have been busy, it was 4pm and the place was empty. Then he put me hold to talk to my server. I was then disconnected. See you around Petes. You don’t care anymore. . Stonelake resident 14 years.

We ordered the Original Pete’s Combo pizza and it gave 5PEOPLE diarrhea. We came in a group and the one person who did not get diarrhea was the one who only ate wings and knots. She did not eat the pizza. Then, the next day I gave a couple leftover slices to two people at my school(without knowing this pizza was making us sick) and they both got diarrhea too. I called and let Pete’s know, and they refused to admit that there pizza had made us sick. Instead, the guy on the phone had said, «Well, no one else has called about getting sick.» When we were 100% positive that the only thing all 5 of us had in common was that we ate their pizza. Wings were fine, knots were fine.

This place sucks and way way over priced for the size and taste of their pizza. Don’t waste your money, any place is better. I’d rather have frozen Red Baron. Seriously this pizza place was awful and I can’t believe the people posting positive stars and comments obviously don’t know a good pizza… such sheeple people. Well it is still Elk Grove.

Best pizza in town but my family will never return. After taking our order, the server returned to explain that we would have to pay $ 10 extra for a white sauce pizza. We pointed out that there was nothing in the menu detailing that sort of charge and that she should have alerted us of this while taking our order. The server then explained that the owner(and pizza maker) refused to make it without the extra $ 10 charge. It was all very confusing. The server couldn’t answer our questions or justify the charge so we decided to quietly leave. We haven’t returned in a year and a half and are very proud to NOT be taken advantage of by this owner. Our household orders two pizzas every week as a treat and we have given literally thousands of dollars of business to surrounding pizza restaurants.

Came here with a group of 6 and a baby and service was amazing. We got seated immediately and they even brought a high chair for our infant. Our server was definitely awesome but I didn’t get his name :( The menu has a variety of appetizers, pastas, burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas. We ordered: the combo platter(mozzarella sticks, onion rings, jalapeño poppers, and chicken fingers with a side of ranch and marinara sauce), garlic knots(order the beer cheese to go along with it! You won’t regret it!), stinky rose?(The garlic fries, yum!) The boyfriend and I shared the Gorgonzola bow tie pasta. It’s cooked in a light cream sauce, topped with grilled chicken, bacon bits, and onions. Yum! Served with a side of garlic toast on sourdough bread. Portion sizes are definitely big enough to share. We even to-go’d some! Our friends also ordered this beer sampler drink where you get to sample four types of beers listed on their menu. Pretty cute! The restaurant itself had multiple tv’s around the dining area so no matter what seat you’re in, you’ll have something to watch. Nice and relaxing place to go with friends and family for some pasta and hanging out :)

Joe K & I decided to eat here after attending my company Christmas party in which our holiday buffet dinner was a dismal disappointment. We had some difficulty finding this restaurant even though we could clearly see it driving in the opposite direction along Elk Grove Blvd. As we made a U-turn to look for the driveway, we quickly and unexpectedly passed it up before realizing we had just missed the entrance. Since it was at night, it looked like the entrance to the neighboring gas station. You only get one chance, because before we knew it, we were forced to go on the I-5 freeway without any other last minute road options! That’s how close they are to the freeway entrance! Taking the first exit, we eventually took a round about way back to the strip mall location and entered from the back way. Finally arriving, Joe & I were starving and couldn’t wait to order some substantial food. Fortunately, they were open until 9:00pm and only had a few customers dining. A friendly waiter seated us, presented menus and took our drink orders. We were in the mood for pizza and decided on getting a medium size pie that had half«Veghead» and half«Purist». It was kind of a long wait to get our food, but since the dining area was comfortable, had dim lighting, and several flat screen TV’s on, it was nice to just sit and relax. The pizza arrived at our table with fresh ingredients and piping hot. We sat quietly enjoying our meal and getting refills of root beer. The waiter checked on us often and always had a smile on his face. Joe & I agreed that the pizza was OK, but the«Purist» half was maybe a bit too pure and lacked flavor even when I added additional Parmesan cheese and red peppers. The vegetarian side was a little more flavorful but didn’t really spark the taste buds. Even though we weren’t amazed by the pizza, the menu itself offers some other delicious looking options that might be worth another try and I wouldn’t be against dining here again!
