Went here with a party of 20 for a birthday celebration. Given that it’s a buffet, our waitress only had to stay on top of our drinks & pre-bus the tables. We had to break up her conversations with other waitresses while they played on their phones to have old plates removed and get refills. At first we didn’t mind waving her down but when it became the only way she’d wait on us, it got very frustrating. Our bill was over $ 400. You’d think for a bill that large at a small & slow buffet, they’d at least offer good service. The«fried rice»(how was THAT fried rice?!) & lo mein noodles tasted like plastic. In my restaurant work experience, this happens when food is prepared ahead of time & covered with plastic wrap when it’s still very warm. The plastic breaks down and leaves a plastic taste in the food. It’s terrible. That aside it was a clean place but they have a TV in the dining room. It was a little strange to see patrons get distracted by televised car auctions. I’m pretty sure the music they play is off of someone’s iPod given the repeating and strange mix of songs(n sync to chingy? Really?) Not going back. We paid too much to be so disappointed. I’d rather go to the tequila bar next door, thank you!

Let’s just start with the fact that I’m better than you. I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing the prixe fixe meal at Alinea complete with wine pairing and decadent white truffle risotto. I’ve gone to Korea and eaten sashimi that was swimming in the ocean less than 30 minutes before it entered my mouth. I’ve had barbacoa tacos in Mexico where everything, including the tortillas, were handmade morsels of rustic perfection. I’ve eaten every item on the McDonald’s breakfast menu. To say that I understand the intricacies and overall complexity of molecular gastronomy and artistic expression achieved with food in general would be an understatement. To say that Feran Adria is also known in my circle of friends as «my bitch» would not even come close to the levels of cuisine at which I dwell. For I, I am a self-taught foodie with a Unilocal account which puts me at a level of understanding and elitism that was previously thought to have been beheaded in the French Revolution. I thought I knew it all, had it all, experienced it all. Everything changed when I entered this buffet. Every dish on that chafing table was superfluous. It was obvious that the buffet was assembled by someone who went beyond the mere technical mastery of a craft, but by an artist at work for whom no detail or flavor profile was too insignificant to ponder. My first bite of the expertly prepared crab legs nearly blew my mind. These crab legs were prepared in water and then dipped in barely-clarified butter for a daring, yet brilliant textural interplay I have not experienced since Grant Achatz’ molten potato. This was no longer food, this was beyond haute-cuisine, this was a paradigm altering experience. I moved on to the salt-pepper lobster, a perfectly cooked dish, with delicate notes of salt and pepper that played beautifully with the flavor of lobster. It was inspired and genius and everything you’d expect from a culinary maestro. There’s also a sushi bar, that’s carved from a singular hunk of Italian marble, which serves as an inspiration for the sushi chefs laboring behind it. Michelangelo famously said about a statute, «I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.» In the same way, these sushi chefs look at the fish in their hands and carve until the sashimi becomes free. It’s art. It’s beauty. It’s what life is to be lived for. I’m going to cut this review short because Unilocalers only care about what they have to say. I just have a couple more notes to add. The service was impeccable, the décor was tasteful and understated yet conveying a subtle tone of opulence and grandeur adequate for an institution for which technical proficiency and artistic expression is required and expected. They also had Coca-Cola products and bananas with red sauce. Unilocal does not have enough stars and the English language does not have enough words to do this culinary institution full justice. I simply wish for a word to describe how insane, outrageous, ridiculous, and absurd this buffet is. I cannot think of one, and maybe that’s a good thing, because greatness should not be confined to a word.

I really hate to give it the 1 star, but it’s for good reason. The food was honestly terrific. Good selection and flavor. But the problem comes with the staff. I’m not racial but I imagine the immigrants arent all legal or just fresh off the boat and don’t know American customs. It was just me and my girlfriend in there at the time and I was attempting to work my way through shelling some of their crawfish when a little old Asian lady walked up to our table and without a moment of hesitation or a second thought or even permission, grabbed the crawfish from my very hands and began peeling it. She then set it back In my hands and walked off. Both my girlfriend and I were both left in uncomfortable disbelief but before we could finish fathoming what has just occurred she comes back wondering why I had not finished it, picks it up AGAIN to finish peeling and then leaves the deshelled crustacean upon my plate and waited to watch me eat it. This was an EXTREME violation of personal health and space and it seemed as though she didnt even see how it was wrong or comprehend what she just did. I wish it could have been different as I really enjoyed the food but that experience just ruined it for me.

As I work in this area, I have been a regular customer of this Buffet for well over 2 years. I have spent well over $ 2,500 at this restaurant and counting others in my Company, we have spent well over $ 7,000. This figure will never have an opportunity to increase, all due to the treatment received by their so called Hostess/Manager. After arriving for the lunch buffet on 10÷30÷13 with a co-worker, with a fairly large crowd in the restaurant, the two of us were to be seated at a large table, in one of the party rooms of the restaurant. We explained to the hostess that we would rather be in the main dining area, where tables were opening up, and that we would gladly wait. She instead directed us to the other end of the restaurant, in an unheated area and sat us down at another long table. We asked again if we could wait for one of the tables that were opening up in the main dining room and her reply was«I have nothing for you». She immediately went to the next folks in line and seated them instead in the main dining area. We asked why she wouldn’t seat us there and she just walked away. We finally caught up with her again and with multiple tables open, she reluctantly seated us in the main dining area. Then it came time to use the restroom facilities. One word: Filthy. Make that two words: Filthy and Disgusting. The walls were covered with filth that was unidentifiable. One would have to wonder if the public facing rooms were this filthy, what about the Kitchen? The final straw? We left two fortune cookie wrappers on the counter(no garbage can visible anywhere in the restaurant) and as we were leaving, the same hostess came running after us with the two wrappers and berated us, yelled at us, was rude and pushed the wrappers in our hands. Really? If she would have shown this much ambition in getting people seated, she would have been considered an exemplary employee. When we indicated that due to her behavior we will never patronize this establishment again(and we will make sure everyone in our respective companies are aware of how we were mistreated), her response was«Good. Don’t ever come back». Actually, that was the best advice she could have given and one that we will adhere to. In summary, the food is decent, but it does not compensate for the rude, offensive, discourteous and vulgar behavior of the management at this restaurant. Instead, we will patronize one of the other local Chinese restaurants(like Peapod Chinese, across the street) where they value your business, are pleasant, and the premises and bathrooms are clean and sanitary. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Crazy Two Buffet, where the only thing CRAZY is the way they treat their diners.

I went here for the crabs on a Saturday around 5. They weren’t very good, worse than Royal Buffet’s. Not well-stocked and on the small side. The melted butter also had a weird taste to it. Besides the crab, they had standard Chinese buffet food selection, but half that of Hibachi Grill Supreme. The food was either too salty(crab rangoon), bland(shrimp), soggy, or dry(chicken wings). The walnut shrimp was the worst I’ve ever had. Avoided the sushi, although I tried the salmon sashimi. I’ve been to a lot of buffets, but this is on the lower spectrum. Would not recommend for dinner.

I’ve been meaning to write this for a while now. We’ve been coming here since it opened a few years ago. It quickly became our favorite buffet for dinner/lunch out or large group events. I had been pleased overall for the last couple years; however, we had lunch here earlier this year in February and it was a complete disappointment. Our visit before this had been in December but a lot had changed in those few months. Food was dried out or super greasy, dishes half-full, and it just didn’t taste good. Service was slow. We were sad to see it had gone the usual way of these types of buffets, which are good for a few years then steadily decline. But we were back last weekend. Had to give it one more shot before we wrote them off. I’m glad we did, because this last visit was just like all others and it seemed they were back in top form. Aside from that one February visit, the food is pretty consistent. They have the main items you see at a Chinese buffet, but seem to go a step above in terms of keeping the food fresh and better tasting. Hot food includes the usuals-lots of seafood(mainly shrimp) and crab legs. Love the hot sugar donuts and can’t stop myself from having just one. Soup and cold salad bar are decent. Cold seafood includes mussels, crawfish, and peel & eat shrimp. Cold salad bar includes a variety of jello, puddings, & fresh fruit. I don’t eat sushi but my husband does and while he’s had an occasional complaint about the selection of sushi, overall, the quality rates above average for him most of the time. The hibachi is good too, nice options, sometimes slow depending on the crowd and who’s cooking, but ok. Crazy II does not have a lot of traditional American food options for kids like some other Asian/Chinese buffets do. Not an issue w/my 5 yo because she loves sushi and seafood, but my 4 yo is a pizza/fries/burger kid. So we’re stuck with fried chicken(wings/drummies), white rice and jello and he doesn’t end up eating much. Same with the drinks, they have apple juice, but it’s bottled, so it costs a bit more. The ice cream… eh. Common in many Asian/Chinese buffets, it’s self-serve, with the scooper sitting in a dish of streaming water. Depending on the time of day, ice cream can be hit or miss. I’m personally grossed out by the scooper(how many hands have touched it? and is it clean?) but on the occasion it seems safe, we’ll go for it. This most recent visit, the ice cream was not good. Mixed flavors, and it seemed the ice cream had been ‘turned over’ almost as if they scooped the ice cream at the bottom, up to the top to keep it fresh. Or it could have been that the mixed flavors were removed, and then ice cream from the bottom was scooped to the top to mask it. I can’t explain it exactly, but it was unsettling enough that we refrained from ice cream this day. Price has gone up since they opened but it’s still a good deal. Kids are priced a little high. Other buffets charge a dollar per age, here it’s $ 8 for ages 5 – 12, and $ 6 for ages 2 – 4. Given that my son usually only eats white rice, it wasn’t worth the $ 6. I also couldn’t imagine that a 2-year-old could eat $ 6 worth of food here either. $ 8 makes sense for maybe 8 – 10 years old, but my 5 yo eats like a bird and $ 8 doesn’t balance with the amount of food she gets. Dining space is plentiful, booths and tables, mounted TVs broadcasting local news or sports. Lots of light and windows, makes it feel airy here. This space used to be Cucina Roma, an Italian restaurant, and the furniture and décor is still reminiscent of that, especially with the fireplaces(what Asian buffet has a fireplace?), and the bathrooms which haven’t changed at all(clean, btw). Enough ventilation in the restaurant so that the food smell doesn’t stick to you. Decently clean, meaning the tables are kept clean and wiped down, but the floor can get sticky and could probably use better sweeping throughout the day. I know because my kids still drop food and I’m one of those parents who need to clean up after them, even in restaurants and even when it’s not that big of a mess. I’ve stooped down to pick things up before and have noticed food on the ground from previous customers. Staff does a good job of removing plates, refilling drinks and host/hostess are usually always friendly. The private dining area in the back of the restaurant can hold a very large crowd. It is also closed off which gives you privacy. Our largest group event was over 100 people(for a post-funeral reception). We were happy with the space and service then, particularly given the nature of our dining together that day. But, we’ve experienced happier times here as well, birthdays, baby showers, etc. Staff always does a great job, whether we’re here with a large group, or just dining as a family. I’m extremely pleased with our last visit here. Seems up to par again to what we were used to, and we’ll continue being regular customers.

Food is pretty decent for the price you pay. The«sweet breads» which are basically donuts without the hole are usually good whenever I go to an asian buffet, however, the day I went(7÷8÷13) they were filled with grease. Now, i know these are fried but you shouldn’t be able to squeeze them and see the grease come out! It usually means they were fried at too low of a temperature Service was pretty good minus one little girl who hovered over the wall right behind me. If you asked her to get anything she acted like she was being held against her will to work there. If I ever had her as an actual server, I think she would probably make me not want to come back. But the other kid that was there was extremely helpful and so where the hostesses.

The name says it all. This is one crazy buffet. Buffets are nice because you can select from a wide array of different foods. Buffets are bad because you can over eat to the point of exhaustion. Crazy II Buffet is one of the better Asian buffets I’ve been to. They have a good selection of food and it is kept as fresh as buffet food can be. The only problem I have with this place is the sanitary concerns. I know it is a difficult task to conquer but the way the sushi is displayed and in reach of any and all customers is a bit disturbing. The same can be said for the stir fry section. All the raw meat is out in the open for anyone to have access to. Whether it is through dropped tongs or someone sneezing, these areas can be easily contaminated. There are safer ways around this and it would be wise for Crazy to get their act together. So for me this is going to have to bring down my rating significantly. Even though the food and choice is exceptional, the thought of what may or may not be in or around my food makes me uncomfortable. I might not ever come here again.

For less than 9 bucks for a Friday lunch, Crazy Buffet is awesome! Today I had some General Tso, Mongolian Beef, Pepper Shrimp, Pepper Chicken, rice, noodles and a vegetable egg roll. Everything tasted fresh and good. Obviously it’s not the best Chinese food you’ll ever eat, but I don’t know what you are expecting in a buffet type setting. Great desert selection too. Would definitely recommend.

Forgot to check in this time around. As always, Crazy Buffet was great. Their service is wonderful — very attentive staff ready to bring drink refills and clear the many, many plates away from the table when you finish and go back for more. Good sushi; good stir fry and great fresh selection. Always available seating — the place is huge. I’ll be back…

Let’s set the time, it’s a weekday in suburbia and you want Sushi and Chinese. ENTER Crazy II(chop sticks) BUFFET! I’ve been to Royal in Schaumburg and can honestly say it’s everything Royal does good but smaller and more of what people eat — so don’t expect to see a sea cucumber at Crazy II Buffet but do expect to see a great Mongolian grill, fresh sushi rolls, and the staple Chinese entrees from authentic to Americanized. Some really awesome things they do at Crazy II: Mongolian grill! Darn good, egg and all Sushi, they roll em fresh and they turn so no old rolls on the buffet line(they’re not labeled thou so né cautious as to not waste my friends!) Service is prompt! Cons: No tea? Kind of pushy at times with the tab, especially annoying when there are ample tables for other patrons to sit, I mean common I’m a 6 foot 3 guy weighing 180 lbs I hardly get my moneys worth at buffets, plz don’t push me out soooo fast! I’m also no kobayashi I’ll be back here many more times. Good clean place with outstanding variety and great flavor to the food. There’s something for everyone here! Good deal at under $ 11 with tip per person for the lunch buffet! Good luck getting 1 roll for that price at anywhere else.

I’ve visited my sister in Chicago a couple of times and she has taken me here because it’s fast they have a lot of selection. Since I’m pescatarian and I don’t like too many fried stuff, I went directly to the sushi bar. It’s not a big selection, but the sashimi and sushis are pretty fresh. They also have a salmon baked in butter and lemon dish which I like. They have a great selection of dessert and ice cream.

Surprisingly good buffet that’s still doing well despite many other local buffets around the area closing. The food is very good for the price and includes sushi, ice cream tubs, and freshly make-your-own noodle dishes on the grill. The décor is surprisingly good for a buffet and the place is very clean. The buffet stations have a very good amount of variety.

I’ve been to many buffet restaurants so this one is pretty decent in comparison to others that I have been to. This one is in a strip mall so there’s plenty of parking which I like. There’s a lot of stuff around the area which is nice if you want to walk off your meal:) This place use to have a pricey sit down restaurant with high quality furniture and now it’s a Chinese buffet with a bit a class:) Nice hard wood tables and chairs, dark leather booths, a modern look and feel. The bathrooms were also nice and clean. There’s plenty of light and windows that bring in more light into the place. The staff is pretty good in keeping the place nice and clean. There’s plenty of room to be seated quickly and there’s a few flat screen TVs to watch as well. There’s even one TV over a stone fire place!
There’s a habachi/stir fry station, sushi station, 3 or more rows of hot food, a row of cold foods, and we don’t want to forget the ICECREAM station! For $ 7.99 for lunch is good for the selections you have and it gets REALLY busy so you know the turn around of food will be fresher. They are also keep in keeping the many selections full. You pay for drinks separately, but I usually get water myself. They keep it pretty clean in terms of stations and the servers who cleans off your tables are good too. I give them a plus in making sure my drinks are filled as I hate asking for a refill. I’m looking forward to see what they serve for the dinner hours:)

Will never return. The sashimi is almost always empty now. Or frozen. And the sushi consisted of about 10 different versions of grocery store quality California rolls. When I asked to speak to a manager about sushi his response was not to fix the prob but was extremely rude and said it’s a buffet just eat something else. I didn’t come for the luke warm chinease food I went for the sushi. When they first opened it was great. But now it has drastically gone down

OK, it’s Friday night… Wife and I are in the mood for something Asian… We don’t feel like going too far… Since we needed to make a run to Walgreens, I suggest we try Crazy Buffet since it’s next door. I pass by this place a hundred times on the way to work. This area usually seems sort of dead, but I noticed the lot was pretty full. Since I’m a bit skeptical and usually have bad experiences at Buffets, I decide that this is the perfect time to pull out my phone and check my handy dandy Unilocal app! OK, this place got pretty good reviews. Ok fine, let’s do it. Upon entering, I’m actually surprised at the size of this place. For some reason, from the outside, you wouldn’t picture this place being so big. Inside, it was very full of customers. We were promptly greeted, seated and surprised that their staff actually checked up on us regularly at an Asian establishment.(You’re downright neglected in some Asian restuarants…) My soda, tea and napkins never ran out. Plates promptly replaced with clean ones as we were eating crab legs. Pretty good service so far. I’m still skeptical of the food being most Asian Buffets suck. I give it a chance based on the Unilocal reviews. I check out the stir fry bar, sushi area, seafood areas, main course areas and desert areas. They have a lot of stuff! I must say, I actually like this buffet and I’m not a buffet person. Why? Well, this place is very cheap. 15 bucks? Ok, so not every dish is perfect. The crab rangoon was sort of soggy. Some dishes aren’t nearly as authentic as other Asian places, but overall, there was a lot of tasty dishes and the good far outweigh the bad. There’s a lot of variety here. There is something for everyone. If you want something else, go to the stir fry bar. You can dish up your own meat including chicken, scallops, beef, pork, shrimp, veggies, noodle type, etc. and bring them to the cook. He’ll cook it up, add whatever sauces you want and your all set. It’s pretty comparable to Sir Crazy if you’ve ever been there. Where else can you go to have oysters, spicy tuna rolls, crab legs, shrimp, clams, stir fry bar with decent service? I’m glad there is a place super close that is kind of a hidden gem for cheap and good eats. 15 bucks? That’s a pretty good deal for the stir fry bar alone. I heard lunch is only 8 or so bucks. I suppose I’ll check it out sometime…

I went here today for the lunch buffet with my lunch crew. We weren’t too sure what to expect but I was super excited to try it. This was the best buffet I’ve ever been to for the money! It was only $ 8 for the weekday lunch buffet. See the picture I posted that has prices for all days, all meals. This buffet was super nice. They decorated the entire building nicely, tons of parking on the outside. Everything was extremely clean, extremely organized, definitely an upscale Asian buffet. The waitress was beyond helpful & kind, always clearing our table and refilling our drinks. The food was awesome! One section had a man grilling up meats, made to order. I believe they call it their Korean BBQ section. I admittedly didn’t try this as I got a bit too full but it looked very cool. Another section had a sushi chef. Now at lunch, they only make rolls… no sashimi. During dinner, they do have sashimi. They didn’t have any super fancy rolls… basically none, actually. They all had either mashed tuna or imitation crab but they were good. They had what I took to be their version of a philly roll… it had imitation crab & cream cheese in it. I’m not going to complain — I liked it! Don’t expect anything fancy with the sushi during lunch though. At the end of the sushi station, they had some other sea creatures… like crawfish! Interesting buffet selection. Then they had the hot stations of food. Tons of different kinds of Chinese food… mostly Chicken dishes… Sweet & Sour Chicken, Peanut Butter Chicken, Orange chicken, and Pepper Chicken to name a few. There were stuffed mushrooms, crab rangoons, TASTY eggrolls, BBQ Pork strips, shrimps covered in yummy sauces, potstickers, fried rice, white rice… I honestly can’t possibly name everything. And of course, the Chinese buffet classic-french fries. Sweet & Sour soup & Eggdrop soup were offered as well, with won tons you could put over the top. I honestly don’t have a single bad word to say about any dish I tried and I tried to get a bite of a lot of the dishes! Finally, they have a nice dessert section. 8 Different kinds of ice cream in buckets(see my picture!) including green tea ice cream! Nomnomnom. I wish they had red bean ice cream, too. :(They also had a section with warm desserts. This is my new favorite buffet and I have a funny feeling this is going to replace our current Chinese lunch buffet spot. Oh my goodness, I almost forgot! I have a strange/creepy/weird/unnatural/awesome obsession with Justin Bieber. When we first walked in, they were playing Backstreet Boys and the music progressed into other 90s and 2000s pop. But then — -I was just about to bite into my crispy eggroll — -and bam! Baby, baby, baby ohhhhh! Like baby baby baby Nooooo! I had to completely stop eating and sing along to JB! Most of my coworkers got up from the table at that point, but the two that suffered through it got quite a performance. My point is… I like the music they play! :)
