Used to be Spaghetti Warehouse. Went here for lunch and good selections. Place looked clean to me. Didn’t use the washroom so can’t comment about it. Food was good, pretty typical for asian buffet. Staff cleared plates pretty quickly and we received our drinks quickly as well. No complaints.

Never had a problem with this restaurant, and my husband and I have been happy patrons since it replaced the old Spaghetti Warehouse at this location several years ago. Until Monday afternoon(Jan 11). We sat down at 3pm and had our fill of the buffet offerings. I had the Mei Fun noodles, cold mussels, cocktail shrimp, baby octopus, seafood ceviche(really just fresh salsa), kimchi, steamed edamame pods, and hot & sour soup. I squeezed lemon juice on everything for flavor and had plain water to drink. In the back of my mind I rather hoped it would not be one of those rare times when seafood would result in food poisoning, but that’s the risk you take when eating out. My husband had beef and fixins at the stir fry station, a small scoop of Hibachi chicken and another chicken dish, one pork egg roll, one meatball, and 3 small pastries for dessert. He had Dr Pepper to drink, which I sipped from. We got home about 2 hours later, around 5pm. By 7pm, husband started feeling a discomfort in his«stomach,» though he was pointing to his abdominal area. He said it felt like a hollow rock in there. I suspected only indigestion, as he wasn’t nauseous nor did he have any urge to go to the bathroom. Roughly 12 hours after eating at the restaurant, husband was complaining he hadn’t slept well all night, also complaining of occasional chills but no nausea or fever. Finally at around 3am, he bolted from bed and went straight to the bathroom. He had the runs about 3 times all day, but felt better and better after each one. I didn’t believe him early on when he blamed the problem on the food. But when he developed the runs, I had to agree. He blames the one cold meatball he ate, but it could have been anything. Something might have been undercooked, or contaminated by having been handled by someone who didn’t wash his hands after handling raw meat or going to the bathroom. I was unaffected; the only thing we shared was his Dr Pepper. I’m curious now if any other patron had gastrointestinal problems from that day. I decided to post about this here as a FYI to fellow Unilocalers. I am also planning to notify the restaurant management in writing about the incident. I am hoping it will spur them to reinforce safe food prep, proper food temperatures, and good handwashing practices.

Great place, the staff is always friendly and quick. Food is great will a wide offering of asian and foods. The hibachi and sushi bar are great as well. If i had only one complaint about the place is that the backs of the booths are too flimsy, if the person seated behind you moves a lot you can feel every movement and can be very distracting during your meal. Other than that I love the place, i try to go every chance I get. Great food, great price.

Don’t support this business! They are being investigated for hiring Mexican immigrants and paying them as little as $ 3.50 an hour and forced to sleep five to a room on dumpster mattresses in rat– and cockroach-infested apartments.

I found out that this place hires illegal aliens, and pays them $ 3.43 an hour. In addition they have 15 workers live in a tiny roach filled apartment with mattresses found by dumpsters. If you have a heart, you would not support this business.

I would not eat at this place based on their clear mistreatment of workers…

Hibachi is definitely one of the better Chinese/Asian buffets that I’ve been to. Granted, their food is composed mainly of American Chinese food, they definitely have a great variety. They have about 6 of those buffet tables, a Hibachi Station, and a sushi station. Their sushi is pretty good quality. They use a sizable amount of raw fish(whereas some lower quality sushi buffets just serve different types of sushi with imitation crab) and is pretty good quality too. Be careful, it’s really easy to go crazy and eat a lot here. Oh and the dessert is great too! I’ve been here twice, and alongside the different fruits and small finger cakes, they have had pumpkin pie and tiramisu! And they have 6 – 8 different flavors of ice cream, including matcha ice cream. Come here if you’re looking for pretty good sushi, a variety of American Chinese food, all for a decent price.

My SO and I were done with shopping at Woodfield and on our way home when we saw this place. We should’ve kept on driving but we were starving and all of the restaurants were packed on a Saturday night. So we decided to check this place out. There is your standard chinese food fare and a hibachi grill. Orange chicken, mongolian beef, stir fried clams, crab legs(Extra charge) all were just ok. I’ve had a lot better but for 13 bucks it’s ok. But this place was so filthy I couldn’t wrap my head around it. Food just tossed everywhere around the stations. People grabbing food from the trays with their hands and forks that they already put into their mouth. Made me want to puke. Kids sneezing into the ice cream cooler. The parent just stared at me blindly when I gave her a look of disgust. Ugh. Had to take a shower when I got home. I gave an extra star for the hibachi but that station was pitiful looking too. I know that all of the produce can’t be washed i.e. mushrooms in the hibachi line. But at least attempt to do a little bit of cleaning. There was so much dirt on the mushrooms that it was black from the dirt when it was really suppose to be white in color. I’m shocked I didn’t get food poisoning.

The buffet is very typical with an exception of the hibachi grill. This place is usually packed and wait time was around 30 minutes. Besides that the food was very good(and unhealthy, as expected). In actuality, this place deserves 4 stars due to tastiness and very very cheap price. However, I cannot bring myself to give any buffet anything over 3 stars(due to the unhealthiness and the low quality of food that most buffets have). However, if you are looking for massive quantity of food for a really cheap price, then make this your next destination.

I do not understand how a city inspector has not closed this place down. It was filthy. I didn’t think the food would be 5 stars as I have been to a number of all you can eat buffets but I did expect it to be clean. What buffet restaurant has carpet? When we got to our tables the floor was covered with food waste. No effort to clean it. I got one plate of food. But when I went up to get some ice cream and noticed the unsanitary conditions of the serving utensils and the mess in the hibachi section I asked for the check and left. This review is for the travelers out there who stayed in a budget hotel nearby and think this is a good dining option. It isn’t. There is no excuse for uncleanliness.

Recently relocated to this area so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try. We went on a weeknight and for the two of us it was $ 29.00. I had a soda and he had water. It was ok I mean it isn’t nasty but it isn’t at the top of my list as far as buffets. They do have crab legs but charge you extra per pound to get them most places don’t do that its included in the price. We will try some of the other ones in the area and I don’t see myself making a special trip here unless I’m really craving some hibachi. It’s just OK nothing special here folks.

This place has gone downhill. First time I went here I would give it 3 stars –Nothing special. It is so dirty inside. The food looks sloppy and there isn’t much selection. Employees seem miserable and some are rude. The buffet food is not good. The only decent part is the hibachi. I would give it 1.5 stars if I could.

Despite all the bad reviews, it was a good. The price was $ 12.99 for Sunday and that’s not bad at all for the selection given to you. I went right at 11 am and the food was fresh out and hot!!! They had a seafood station, sushi, etc. They also had a variety of ice cream including the blue moon. Rarely seen at buffets. The servers were nice. I didn’t check out the bathroom. It’s worth a try.

I’m surprised by some of the harsh reviews I’ve read of this place. First of all, this place is a bargain like no other. Secondly, they have just as many non Chinese food items as they do Chinese food items. So basically even if you aren’t in the mood for Chinese food, you’ll find plenty to eat here. It looks nice inside. The staff is friendly. Plenty of parking. I took off a star simply because of nutrition. Don’t come here to start your diet. Not too much to choose from if you do.

This place is stones throw from my work. I’ve eaten here over 25 times and never had a bad meal. If you expect perfection for under $ 10 than your an idiot. The variety and quality is awesome. Let me repeat. If you gave this place a bad review than you don’t know I good value for the money!

This place was horrible. Food selections disgusting, greasy and very cheap looking /tasting. Temperature of some of the foods were very suspect. As a side note, I sometimes stop at the un-named fast-food place across the lot from HG. I’ve eaten my food in my car while stopped in the HG parking lot. On TWO occassions I saw a rat on the property of the resaturant(when it was closed). I have NEVER seen rats outside the city. In fairness, I did not see the rats in the restaurant and its possible they didn’t come from the restaurant but it would be one big coincidence.

buffet lovers out there. trust me this place has got that stamp of approval from this man. good price, good food, and good attentive staff! this place gets awfully crowded, and I also saw a few truck drivers as well. we all know those professional drivers know where a good place to eat would be yeah? the restaurant crams an awful lot of tables in, probably out of neccessity as it was literally packed. the table next to us turned over three times. the food is typical for asian buffets with sushi, a stir fry bar, ice cream(including green tea ice cream), soups, desserts desserts… haha and fruit fruit for them asians. also raw oysters and mussels. i had a couple bad ones, so i stopped with that game. i rarely ever try them at a buffet that is not in vegas… but i saw this guy at the next table clean out the oysters twice so i figured i give a try too. i went straight for the sushi, it was fresh, not all the nigiri cuts were done properly, but hey, fish is fresh, its good! rolls were better than avg. i didnt see any dimsum but it has all the typical you’d expect from a buffet including the all important crab. i think they had blue crab, which i prefer over flavorless snow crab drowned in salt water. these really big blue crabs were done chinese stir fry style with garlic and onion so it was yum. Also the clams are good as well, though it just looked they were steamed, it had some good heat and flavor. the question is… will i go back? heck yeah i would! i’ll bring twenty prople with me next time. see you then!

Since the Chinese Buffet on Biesterfield in Elk Grove Village closed a few months ago, I have not really been able to satisfy my Chinese Buffet cravings at lunch during the week. While I am really a fan of the Royal Seafood Buffet in Schaumburg, it is a little too expensive for lunch and too far from my office. So, several people I work with decided to try the Hibachi Grill and Buffet out. The long and short of it was it falls into the class of Chinese Buffets I would call stop and slop. Now, there was one gem among the rest — the food at their hibachi grill was very good, but there were long lines to get to it. The steam tables were surprising — there really was not a lot of Chinese food. They did have a selection of Americanized Chinese favorites — General Tso Chicken, etc., they had a bigger selection of American cheesy items, tacos, hot wings, etc. The Hibachi was worth the price of admission, but if you are looking for a buffet with lots of Chinese/Asian selections, try somewhere else.

This is a fairly new Chinese Buffet place. It’s big space and they also have private rooms for parties. The entrance has a beautiful Koi fish pond and a waiting area. I came here a couple of times now; for a quick lunch or for a family party. It’s in a corner lot. They took over the Spaghetti Warehouse that was there so if you remember what it looked like inside it’s totally different layout now.
I was impressed on the food choices, so many to chose from. People were still coming in for lunch around 2– 230p in the afternoon. My favorite dishes that I have seen from this place is the fresh Manila clams. They have different varieties of noodles and there hibachi grill station is another option for a fresh dish of choosing your own toppings. All the other dishes are your typical Chinese buffet but the the Manila clams is one dish that I would come back here for. Over all it’s a nice place, when I’m there I see a good turn around of freshly made dishes. It’s new, it’s clean and the staff here are consistent.
