We ate here for the first time ever today. The food was great and service was awesome! Will definitely go back!

We came to this resturant as a potential spot for a rehearsal dinner. The service was awful and the food was dry. We ordered the lettuce wraps, the chicken was dry, the carrots were dry and white on the tips. The place was not clean, we were seated at a dirty table. A big no for us.

Just ate there with my 6 children. The food was beyond amazing! The waitress/server, Jennifer was the best EVER out of all the places I’ve ever been. Definitely high end, not a cheap cheesey joint but for the price you get SOMUCH. We walked out with 4 to go boxes. Most definitely worth it. Did I mention the food is beyond amazing!!! Will definitely recommend and will go back OFTEN! Thank you for an amazing meal and beautiful setting. Now I see why this place is always packed. Only wish I tried it sooner!

This place is hell. We waited an hour and a half on sitting down after we were guided to a table and were told to turn back. Thank god for bartenders to get us through the grind, that was ignorant service. Stay away from here.

I had the crab dip as an appetizer. Creamy but not a bunch of crab meat. It can out very hot & the pita were good. Needed more pitas but the dip filling; w/o crab meat! My wife who doesn’t eat crab could eat this. The service is ok. For a smaller bar it’s adequate. The beer selection is good. This selection makes bar.

My husband and I were there last Sunday and sat on the deck. The service was excellent — couldn’t have been better. The fish tacos were delicious.

This afternoon I experienced Lucky Ducks for the first time. The place looked like it had potential, but things went downhill after being seated. Ordered drinks after asking for the beer list. And what do you know, the beer I chose had just kicked. Okay so things happen, its all good and I will just choose another selection. The server recommends another IPA they have, so I go with it! Well as I sit and wait patiently, time just moves right along. And to briefly describe the atmosphere, there were 3 other tables that had patrons. It was a pretty warm day while enjoying the deck ambience. So 15 minutes pass while I watch my wife enjoy her glass of wine. My beer finally does arrive after it was obviously brewed fresh just for me. Talk about going out of your way for the customer. Server at this point is not sincere and just acts as if everything is good. And then with no suprise our food takes like forever! Maybe it had to be freshly harvested and butchered as well. And to think I was actually considering ordering a second drink but the thought of it overwhelmed me. Would not even want to see this place when its busy. First and last visit! Nothing would make me want to come back and be subjected to this again!

My husband and I ate here on a Monday evening on the deck around 7:30. My husband got the Texas Club with fries and I got the Smoked Gouda Chicken sandwich with homemade chips. We were both very pleased with the flavor of our meals. We will be back!

Great menu and good food, too! Very pleasant to eat on the deck on a summer evening.

My wife and I had dinner here on the outdoor porch in June 2015. The food was not good. I ordered the Kickin’ Chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken was not moist and the potatoes and gravy were poorly prepared and did not taste good. My wife did not like here food, either. We have relatives in ETown and we know this place is very popular, but we would not go back here for dinner. The young waitress did not provide good service, either. Nice place for drinks on the outdoor deck.

Some of the worst experience I have ever had on a slowish Sunday afternoon. Got there before any rush, drinks took forever, appetizer took forever, food came out wrong. You would think something. Something would have been done. Nope. Not even an apology. It was just business as normal at the lucky duck. Will never go back there which is a shame, I love finding those little gems, this one, wasn’t worth it.

Terrible food. All three at our table who got chicken had it overcooked to the point we couldn’t eat it. Steak over done. Service for a table of 4 took 2 hours to get just a regular meal. If it was very cheap I could forgive it but it wasn’t even that cheap.

The ketchup bottles smelled off, I look under the lid and nothing but mold… The lucky duck pasta was horrid. The chicken was dried out and cooked to hell and the sauce was thicker than gravy and pasty. Not good…

Great food and happy hour specials with half off appetizers. Their deck in the summertime is a great place to relax and have dinner and some drinks. They also do an excellent job on catering and banquets. You tell them what you want and they take care of everything else! Overall, a great place to eat!

I’ve eaten here twice now, their chicken wings are ok and the black and blue burger was really good. I was surprised when the server didn’t have a beer list, considering I was told this place has a great beer selection. Everyone in my party was satisfied with their food… Would recommend.

Well a lot has apparently changed since my original 4 star review of 5 months ago! The wings that I once thought were incredible are now some of the worst I have ever had, WHATHAPPENED? Did they hire a new chef? The last 3 times I was there I had to tell them I want them Crispy and they have been disgustingly chewy, the last time they even seemed to be undercooked with hardly any sauce or flavor at all.(I had to ask for a cup of sauce so my wings actually tasted like something). To top things off I decided to get a 6 pack of Troegs to go and they f’n charged me $ 17AREYOUSERIOUS? I can get it $ 4-$ 5 cheaper at the local pizza shops or maybe I’ll just head to the brewery instead because I’ll NEVER buy a 6 pack from you again! It seems as though this place is happy just being the big in — town college kid hangout and doesn’t care about catering to or attracting locals. They usually do have a good selection of draft beers which is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars.

Great place for a craft beer. Always had good servers here. I used to head to TJ Rockwells to catch a game but there was an incident which you can read in their review. Food is very good for a cozy bar. The fish tacos are great! Chili is very tasty too. A lot of local regulars, they usually have live music on Fridays and their deck is now open. Very impressive for a small place

was in the area and stopped here on the advise of a local merchant. The burger was very good, excellent crab cakes. The crab dip appetizer with flatbread was best I ever had. very nice inside, rustic but with a touch of class. desserts were good as well. Kari the server was spot on and very friendly etc. if we lived closer, would go more often. for those of you who liver closer, give them a try and ignore the bad reviews. see for yourselves. I almost did not stop here based on some of the reviews and glad I listened to the local merchant.

I took a weekend trip to Lancaster and Harrisburg this weekend with some friends, and this was one of the destinations I was told to check out. According to many Elizabethtown College students, this is a good local dive bar for cheap drinks and a good time. As an outsider, it’s a decent little place to grab a few drinks. To students, I’m sure its a keepsake and a place for plenty of stories. We checked it out early Saturday afternoon, and it was pretty much what I expected. There was a good mix of older and younger locals, and a group of what appeared to be students. It was relatively busy, but all the servers and bartenders were friendly and quick to attend to us. Overall, Lucky Duck’s is a good little spot; we stopped in for 1 drink, and left after 4. I can’t speak too much to the nightlife there, but it seems decent enough to stop in on a weekend afternoon

Ok, the previous reviews are not missing the mark. This is a four star place in E-town but a three star place in the rest of the world. Yes, there are flies, but if you know anything about Lancaster County and recognize the great agricultural backbone of the state that it is, flies are a common occurrence. Sit on the deck at Bube’s or Rockwell’s and you’ll see them too. I agree, indoors here they are a bit of a pest, but not over the top. Food is «good» — a few apps are nice and some of the sandwiches are good too but there is nothing«over-the-top» about the place on any given day. We often take advantage of their ½ price apps during happy hour(5−7pm) and the staff is attentive and personal. The only significant criticism(and earned by nearly every local place) is that they don’t use many fresh local ingredients. They should have fresh tomatoes with mayo or balsamic and basil all summer long as an app. I recommend the fish tacos and grasshoppers, but not the steamed shrimp or the spring rolls. The shrimp were limp and not very fresh, the spring rolls are very small and bready. Donegal Pub in Mt. Joy has great spring roll in comparison. Several micro beers are overpriced, as previously mentioned, however the ever changing variety is appreciated. All-in-all, a good place for a brew and bite in E-town. Mark, the bartender, is attentive, courteous and honest… just what you’d hope for in Lancaster County’s version of Mayberry, USA.
