Sarku Japan

The place looks good but the food just isn’t up to par. Shrimp tempura with veggies and brown rice was my order and it frankly fell flat. Very bland, certainly not as good as Japanese that I’m used to. The menu is very limited. You get what you pay for when you’re talking Japanese for 7 bucks. Spend a little more and go some place else

The food is okay, and they appear to charge you for sauces that’s associated with sushi rolls like spicy mayonnaise. They’re other Japanese places that will accommodate not to far from there in distance.

I LOVE this place. I always get their chicken with white rice, which is very simple but so delicious. their prices are also decent; I’m only speaking on the rice with chicken, I’ve never had their sushi. but overall I like this place, and it’s very clean and spacious for if you want to dine-​in. I only come here when I’m in the area though; I really wish there was a location closer to me.

Sarku is definitely an express restaurant. They have a limited menu which is great for deciding if you’re in the mood for something, but what I had today was sub par Japanese. I think the Japanese would be embarrassed. I called in an order to pick up which they were quick to take the order but not efficient. I received no estimated pick up time and no total. I arrived in about 10 minutes, and someone greeted me promptly which is a plus. Half of my order was completed, but oddly enough I was waiting on 2 garden salads, I’m no expert but I think a cold salad would have been faster to make than 3 sushi rolls and a chicken teriyaki, I waited over 5 mins for them to make these salads as my other food sat there.
The food was ok. The food was warm, the sushi was Luke warm probably from sitting on top of the once hot chicken teriyaki, and lastly the salads were very refreshing minutes the fact that the ginger dressing that I was told comes with the salad was actually an obscure version of 1000 island.
The only reason I would go back is because they were all super friendly and they seemed to enjoy their jobs, but food wise I would rather wait longer for good food than «fast» food.

Definitely not the best sushi I’ve had. Even ShopRite sushi is better. Small rolls, not enough rice in rolls. Fresh ingredients though. Noodles were decent. Woould return for a container of noodles only.

Been here a couple times, I’m definitely not the sushi type but my boyfriend is & he loves it! I just wish they had a little more variation for those who dont like sushi. And I did get the impression that the guys working there were very accommodating & pleasing to be around. I would only recommend this place to sushi lovers if they want something good & on-​the-​go.

I was very excited when i saw they opened a bento box place in this neighborhood. It is pretty decent food but the sushi it is a big dissapointment. I think you can find a better sushi at a grocery store than here. The bento box is a prefixed box the only thing you get to chose is the type of rice and what goes on top: chicken, tofu, or shrimp. No choice of soup or sushi. Salmon would be nice. I like the fact i get to eat something other then the same hispanic food in this area.

Im not a sushi person so I cant review all the sushi here but I am a chicken terayaki and Cali rolls person. The food is average kind of mall food court like. But for this area when I was living there this was good because I did not find many Asian places near our apartment. Nice place to chill.

Never had fast food sushi before so why not give it a shot? To my surprise I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. A lot more pricier than other fast food places, but seemed like an overall better quality product. Enjoyed a good beef bento box and I’ll be sure to come back to try some other items in the future.
