Well, Its better than what they serve on the airplane. Slow service, limited selection and what they have is just just OK. If it weren’t for a captive customer base with limited alternatives I would not have eaten here. To add insult their prices are not cheap. A number of diners in the restaurant were actually eating burgers.

I would avoid this place if I come back to the B terminal at Newark. The food itself was not bad. We ordered a seaweed salad, agadashi tofu, rainbow roll, and salmon avocado roll. The seaweed salad was the star! Really great! Sushi was good, if not a little bland, and the pieces were large. But I’d avoid the agadashi tofu. I was expecting a couple pieces in a broth. Instead I got 6 greasy pieces on a plate. The real issue here is the completely disorganized service. At one point one server(who wasn’t the one who had taken our order) brought us the check, right after my sushi had been placed on the table. Another came by a few moments later and took the check, that we had not touched at all. Finally after a different server cleared our table the check was brought back. It was a really bizarre experience.

Inside of Newark airport. I ordered beef rice bawl and also octopus salad. Rice bawl was okay but the octopus salad, Tako Su, was terrible. Too much vinegar…

Service was good at 5AM but the breakfast was mediocre. Eggs appeared to have been scrambled in bacon fat, toast was the tiniest I’ve ever seen, and the potatoes were some sort of waffle fries. Add a cup of tea and tip and you’re out $ 15.

Food was eatable, but not much beyond that. Granted it’s Sunday and sushi isn’t fresh but I had to question whether my salmon was fresh or smoked. Even after eating it I’m not sure as it was bland. Steak Teriyaki was overlooked(and they never asked the temperature I wanted but realizing that I asked the waitress to let the cook know I wanted it medium rare. It was well done and dry, thank got for good teriyaki sauce as I did eat half of it. As for service, it was non existent. Took twenty minutes and two reminders even though there were only ten people in the place. In fact it took 10 minutes for them to even come back after giving us a menu, then twenty to get water and sushi came with water. Steak was another 15? minutes. NOT A PLACETOGRAB A QUICKAIRPORTMEAL! All in all two stars is generous.

What happened? Good, service remains excellent Bad, prices have good up, really up. In last 3 months. Taste got lost. $ 9.95 for terrible spicy tuna roll. Chopped, and very spicy, must be tuna in there somewhere. Salmon and avocado roll had no taste. Didnt get the bottled green tea now $ 5.99 I wonder if owner might be raising prices before leaving? Or something. Only a guess

Food was ok, nothing special. Portion size was huge. Japanese cuisine but a lot of non japanese workers. Very weird.

We were happy to find a nice place for breakfast before a flight. I had eggs over easy, bacon, breakfast potatoes and toast. Everything was hot and fresh and cooked to perfection. My husband had scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes and toast and liked them equally as well. Our only disappointment was they do not have decaf coffee. Definitely a good breakfast place.

Ehh, food isn’t good, and neither was service. Service was slow and inefficient. Brought out warm chardonnay, edamame appetizer was brought out well after entrée. Separate sushi orders all put on same plate, and extra plate of someone’s spicy tuna roll was brought to me, even though I didn’t order that dish.

Top 3 worst service experiences. Staff seemed unaware of customers, with everyone else in the restaurant receiving similar service or worse. Food was sub-par.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast before my flight. The food was pretty good for an airport. The service was okay. I would have given 4 stars if they hadn’t charged $ 5 for adding one extra egg(more than ½ the price of the entire meal).

Service, what service? Not even a quick acknowledgement after waiting for 10 minutes. My last trip, where I stopped by for food was a lot better.

Teriyaki chicken over cooked. Very tough to chew. Poor attempt for the tempura. Don’t expect actual Japanese food. Expect sub par airport food.

Pretty good for airport food. I ate a late lunch on a weekday and it was about 10% full. The service was fine. The sushi was fine. The soup was fine. Overall, pretty good for being in an airport.

Grilling two pieces of chicken and tossing sesame seeds on it does not make sesame chicken for $ 16. It’s empty here for a reason.

Blah Newark, definitely not my first choice in terms of airports, but alas that’s life and sometimes you have to be selective about airlines and flight times, so what happens? You get stuck flying out of Newark, terminal B to be exact. So, this place is one of the few food establishments in Terminal B gates 40 – 47 or some range like that. I didn’t want to have some blah salad or sandwich or another burger, so I opted for Japanese. I was skeptical for sushi, so went for a bowl of ramen which could be harmless. I ordered the ramen with BBQ pork and veggies. It was ok, generous portion of pork and noodles and I liked the broth, but there weren’t enough veggies! Just some seaweed, green onion and bamboo shoots. Now maybe this is the norm? But I was hoping for some other veggies such as cabbage, broccoli and carrots. Oh well. In any case it wasn’t bad. Price was $ 10, a little steep but you’re at the airport. I’m sure I’ll fly out of here again sometime and I’d come back. But maybe I will keep it simpler like miso soup and some tempura. I am still afraid of the sushi haha.

Thought I’d try this place for breakfast, that maybe it would be a little different than the few other choices. Regretted my decision. The eggs were overcooked, the bacon was cheap, thin and overdone. On top of that, the staff is super busy preparing for lunch so they seem inattentive and rushed. It’s like the owner suggested they do breakfast because they are already there doing prep so they might as well make money. But the staff isn’t on board. SKIP for breakfast.

I was shocked at how good Sora’s sushi was! Seriously fresh ingredients made the Sora Special Roll and the Great Lake Roll delicious. Plentiful electrical outlets and free WiFi make Sora a great stop at EWR.

NEWARKEWRAIRPORT:(breakfast) Stopped in at this little Japanese airport restaurant. The décor is a little sparse but clean enough and they were friendly at arrival. I was early; not many other patrons, and they sat me down. They serve Pepsi, which is a plus for me. The sushi looked over refrigerated, small, and boring. Like bad grocery store sushi, but it was the morning stuff they just had sitting out. There was a bar for the fresh stuff, but they weren’t rolling yet. My meal, the American breakfast, was very good: easy over eggs, delicious hash towns and boring toast. 4 star dish/3 star joint

Grabbed an eel and avocado roll as I headed to my flight. The rolls were a little pricier than normal, but it was the airport so *shrug* My roll was pretty good. I would get it again in a heartbeat. I also had the wakame salad. It was yum and a pretty good portion size. Overall, I was happy to not be eating pizza or hotdog or premade salad as I waited for my flight.
