Taqueria Los Cerros

Very delicious, fresh, authentic food. Great service and even their salsas are unique.
I got the taquitos plate which was a big serving for under $ 10. I will definitely be coming back

Owners relocated just down the street and remodeled a new location in a beautiful Mexican theme. There is a colorful large mural on the wall as you enter the restaurant. There are booths and tables and also a banquet room. This owner knows how to do it right!
Our carnitas meal was served on a brightly colored oval plate with beans of your choice, rice, guacamole, salsa and sour cream. Homemade hot tortillas come with the meal. My husband and I thought the carnitas was the best we ever had – a large portion of tender chunks of roasted pork. Water was served in Mexican glassware trimmed in cobalt blue
This was our third time eating here. I was a little disappointed in the chili relleno dinner our first visit. They use an Anaheim chili which is small compared to the larger Pasilla chili that I’m used to. It was, however, very tasty. Their beans and rice are delicious
They have a real gem of a place. There aren’t many nice sit down Mexican restaurants. There are good ones but they are mostly takeout with limited seating. Here you can order takeout as well.
The owner spoke with us on a previous visit – very friendly and welcoming man. Tonight, our young waiter was just adorable. He came to check on us a couple of times after taking our order. He was very efficient.

We love going here. Great food and very nice atmosphere. They are just across from Adachi Nursery in El Sobrante.

Got a burrito bowl with shredded chicken. Ample food portions, decent service, nice ambience, but the food was very bland. I didn’t care for the salsa, it was extremely watery and had maybe 6 pieces of tomatoes in it and a couple bits of onion. It’s super close to my house, so I’m really disappointed. I’ll give it another shot though.

Los Cerros has changed locations. Fresh clean authentic. Beautifully designed, with a semi private party area. Well done. The menu is ample and gives many choices from taco to place with plenty of food. We stopped in for a quick bite and were pleasantly surprised at the freshness, crispness and Yumimess. This was a well above average experience. Try them out. Excellent mexican restaurant experience. We will be returning. Go visit, and enjoy.

Well I have been coming to this little restaurant whenever I’m in the area and need to get some good Mexican food. The food is always good for the price and the service is always friendly. Typically what I have is the wet super burrito or their Chile Verde. The quality of the food that you can expect for the price is actually pretty good so I would recommend this little place to anyone that happens to be in the area. I gave it 4 star instead of 5 because it’s really out of the way to get to this place and unless you happen to be in the downtown El Sobrante area in that little shopping center you wouldn’t know about it. They also used to have a really good quesadilla Suiza that was really good but they took it off the menu :-(

We ordered wet carne asada and chicken super burritos. They weren’t bad but, I can’t say they were necessarily good either? The overall flavor was too salty due to the sauce but, it still wouldn’t be very good without it because there was very little meat and the burrito itself lacked in flavor. A little pricey for what we got too. I was only in the area for a few days for work but, even if I lived there, I wouldn’t come back here.

Another place we found from the Entertainment guidebook. It’s a hole-​in-​the-​wall type of taqueria. It was a small place that only had around 5 tables for diners. We were lucky to get one of the booths. Free chips and salsa, always good. Their food menu was not bad at all. Affordable prices and the food tasted okay. Very friendly service with big glasses of Horchata. I wish they had shredded beef for enchiladas instead of ground beef. Oh well.
If I’m around the area, this is one of those places to consider going to.
