Ordered Thanksgiving catering from this place 2 years and a row and just wanted to give them some props. The food is decent and the portions are always plentiful. The ladies that run this place are very nice.

I came by to grab a quick takeout order of the Hawaiian BBQ Mix which is a combo of bbq beef, chicken, and kalbi. It’s pretty much a standard Hawaiian fast-food type of place and a really filling meal with plenty of leftovers will run you less than $ 10. A definite 3 meal plate for me. The kalbi is pretty greasy as was most of the other meats and I thought there was too much mayo in my mac salad. It’s certainly not a place to frequent if you’re on a diet. Otherwise, I’d say stop by if you’re in the area and want some Asian meats.

I come here every once a month for lunch when I’m playing hooky from work. The service is okay, And the food is quick to come out of the kitchen every time I order it. I like the BBQ mix plate the best, and you always get a hearty portion of food at a cheap price. They also have tables outside, which is nice especially on a hot day.

Actually my score is about 3.7, but thought I’d round up to show some love! This place is very straightforward. Relatively cheap, filling, and tasty food. Absolutely, no frills with packaging, food and seasoning combinations, etc. The food tastes like, «Damn, I’m hungry and need a place to eat,» food. And for that, I’m thankful. I enjoyed the chicken katsu. I tend to like my katsu buttery and peppery, but this place was generous with the serving size. Everything was decent and relatively fresh. I have deductions for the«no cards under $ 10» sign and 75 cents for refills. Really, ladies? Step your games up. There’s competition out there making wayyy better food and who are less busy who accepts cards for any amount. For my meal, it was conveniently 9.54, so if you’re not getting a drink, think again! LOL The cashiers did their job… nothing more nothing less. I’m taking some home for dinner! Will I be back? I don’t know… but I definitely enjoyed my lunch today!

I thought they were above average. There’s so much competition out there, and many get it wrong, so all I can do is salute them. Beef was good, but chicken Katsu was excellent. And for an added bonus, the macaroni salad was good and the cabbage was cooked(I hate when other Hawaiian BBQ establishments serve raw cabbage).

How can I not like this place for what it is? A cheap, filling, and tasty lunch spot near work. Everything is under $ 10. The chicken katsu and bbq short ribs are great every time. The mac salad isn’t too mayo’y and they are generous with the sauces. I can’t finish these meals.

Good food… Specials like Kailua chicken and barbecue mix are all time favorites. Lunch is prepared in a flash. Get it to go. Limited seating.

I was not a fan. I got the Katsu chicken. Huge portions but was expensive for lunch. They Chicken was cooked well but didn’t have flavor. Also it wasn’t the best cuts of chicken. I think ill pass on this spot.

I ordered mini loco moco. It came with steamed cabbage, patty that was made with lots bread crumbs. The patty was too sweet. I couldn’t tell if it was a patty or a slice of meat loaf. The gravy was too runny and didn’t have much flavor. I also bit into something that was crunchy, perhaps egg shell.

Solid effort. I came here because it was close to work. The chicken katsu was very good. Not the best hawaiian food I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst. Liked the portions, lots of food!

I had the BBQ chicken with shrimp combo plate. Food was decent. I wish they would offer other alternatives(i.e. salad) to the two scoops of white rice and one scoop of macaroni salad with their combo plates.

Nice selection of fast food items, prices are good and the portions are more than adequate, biggest drawback is the limited seating, there is a small counter inside and a few tables outside, arrive early or you will be eating your order in the car. Staff is always friendly and there is not usually much of a wait, Chicken Katsu is always a winner, never have had a bad dish at this location.

I loved this spot for lunch. I never really go south of the airport, usually stay around westchester. but decided why not. Ordered the loco moco AND the hawaiin combo. Finished both! That said. their portions are quite generous but there is still a huge amount of cabbage to make it look like even more than it actually is. Anyways the loco moco was great. You know what a loco moco is? Yes. Okay you’re solid. Basically it’s a bunch of rice with some beef patties on top, with some over easy eggs on top of that, and then GRAVYALLOVERTHAT!!! Could have used more gravy. The hawaiin combo tasted like Ono. Which is fine for me. I love Ono! I never eat the macaroni salad so I can’t say heads or tails what that’s like. I just never enjoy the flavor of a lot of mayonaise. This will be definitely be up there in my lunch spots from now on. That moco loco is something else. I wonder if they could make that work on top of chicken katsu? imagine. chicken katsu loco moco. Stop me now bro.

I’ve actually never gone here myself BUT. I have ordered food for work there for my meetings. I think the food is quite delicious and affordable. The beef(bulgogi and kalbi), chicken, and macaroni salad are pretty good. Also occasionally order the fish or shrimp. It is pretty unhealthy. so if you’re looking to diet. this is not the place to do it. What we normally do is get a family platter which is three choices and comes with rice and macaroni salad. They deliver food with no additional fee. I like it. but then again, I am not a Hawaiian food expert.

Hawaiian BBQ Had the flavors that I can remember from my trip to Hawaii. Wasn’t excited with the puny short rib but the rest was good. Also got a Hawaiian tropic soda. Total was almost $ 12. A bit pricy for what I got.

Typical hawaiian restaurants similar to L&L’s. I’ve tried their BBQ combo set and loco moco. Usually the beef/short rib at hawaiian restaurant tends to be dry and tough to chew, which was the same for WikiWiki. Chicken was on the juicier side but nothing special. However, I really liked their loco moco! I never had loco moco until I tried WikiWiki but I thought it was pretty good. On off days the gravy comes out a bit too salty but usually it’s pretty good. I really like the patty which is packed with flavor. :) I don’t have any loco moco standards since Wiki is the only place I tried locomoco but I’m assuming it’s on the better side cause it surely is pretty darn tasty! Now I don’t venture to try other dishes since loco moco has become my staple dish. Parking is HORRIBLE in this small plaza during lunch time. All the hungry workers rush out to this plaza and all the parking lot is taken. Not to mention people drive super fast in this plaza –__– so dangerous.

I don’t know what’s with all the 1 – 2 stars review up in here, but I have to say that this place is pretty good… and I actually grew up in Hawaii eating Hawaiian food. It’s better than Ono’s or some L&Ls.(I say«some» because L&L chains here are inconsistent — a hit or a miss). This is what I look for in Hawaiian plate lunches; The portion, the macaroni salad and what kind of combo options are there. Portion: GOOD, Macaroni Salad: Tasty! and I got the Hawaiian Style Chicken(BBQ chicken) and the Chicken Katsu Combo which I totally approve. Going back for more today~

How could you go wrong with some Hawaiian cheap eats? Oh. So. Very. Wrong. And oh so very gross! It was my first time here and was floored as to how they can actually serve this horrible food! Even more floored that people actually eat it! I was surprised that they actually have crab Rangoon/langoon here…(crab and cream cheese wontons)… so I had to order it… but it was so stale that even after being deep fried and with all the cheesy goodness, I couldn’t eat it! It’s like they wrapped those little fuckers last year and are barely making it to the fryer! And if you know me, you should know that if it’s deep fried… and has cheese… odds are, I’m eating it… but nope, not this time! I ordered the small teriyaki beef combo which came with rice, mac and cabbage… It was a huge portion and it looked and smelled amazing… but when I put some of the beef in my mouth, it was so chewy and full of fat that I had to spit out the first 3 – 4 bites even after dousing it in siracha and more teriyaki sauce! And hello… it’d be nice if they gave me a warning that the mac had some chicken bits in it… ESPECIALLY since I told the lady taking my order that I don’t eat chicken when she recommended a chicken dish to me. I tried maybe 1 more bite of the beef and just threw it out. Save your money and go elsewhere… for real. .
