Best Chinese food that I’ve had in El Paso. Got takeout for the first time last night. Spring rolls were very light and crispy as they should be. The chicken Lo mein was good, not greasy. General Tso’s chicken had the right amount of spice. Will be back to try other things.

Freshest produce of all other Chinese places in town. No MSG ever. If your idea of Chinese food is greasy, fried, sauce-covered«meat» from a sketchy looking buffet, DONOTCOMEHERE. If you want vegetables with some crisp still in them, generous portions, variety of sauces that compliment but don’t drown out the ingredients, then this is your place. Strongly recommend trying some of the items from the menu of Chinese Specials — the duck, the Chinese mushrooms, bitter melon and beef, and whole fish have all been wonderful. Our standbys — crispy eggplant with spicy sauce, salt and pepper shrimp, and anything more«authentic» from above menu. Can’t go wrong with more expected items — the Szechuan, Kung Pao, and Hunan styles are also delicious. Fried rice is a huge helping and not overly greasy. GREATPLACEFORFAMILYSTYLEPARTIES. We have taken groups of 6, 12, and 25 and have received excellent service every time.

Came in based on all the great reviews, but was not overly impressed. The pricing is right on and the portion size is amazingly large. So your money is well spent if you’re hungry, but the food just wasn’t that good. We got the Mongolian beef and it was chewy and cheap tasting. I doubt we’ll be back again, but it’s definitely worth it if you’re hungry for lots of cheap chinese food.

This was the second time visiting this place in a matter of 2 years. Decided to go back since we dropped stuff at Savers. Still the same, dead and dark. Both visits around the same time of day(a little past 3p). Staff still wasnt welcoming. Ordered sweet and sour pork and beef tendons. It was delicious. Crispy SS Pork with some crunchy bell peppers, onion, carrots, and pineapple. The beef tendon plate was a great portion and very tasty. Now the bad. Rice was old(smelly) and low quality, no utensils or napkins in my to-go order. The crab ragoon had like 95% cream cheese and 5% crab. By the 2nd piece I figured no crab would be in the rest and my palate was already wrecked. I could have bought 2 bars of Philadelphia if I wanted that for the price. Would have rated 4 stars but honesty is key in my book if I’m gonna spend $ 30 for lunch. You can’t jerk people with a $ 6 app. We won’t be going back, but like I stated earlier, the entrees were very good so give them a shot.

I’m going from a four star to five, because it has been a five from the beginning & I haven’t updated. So yummy! I’ve never been disappointed.

We were driving from San Antonio to El Paso on Christmas Eve hoping to score an authentic local Tex-Mex experience. Which of course did not happen! Every Mexican and Italian(probably, read catholic) restaurant in town was already closed or closing for the day. So we picked Chinese and picked Sun Garden based on Unilocal reviews. Good choice! Very good choice. Excellent food. Nice service. Of course, you don’t go to a Chinese place for good drinks. We ordered Fried Chicken, Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, Vegetarian fried rice, and Mongolian Chicken. The food was fantastic. Seriously lip-smacking good. And the portion sizes were large. Seriously large enough for three or four meals. We were on the road and so we couldn’t keep it past one more meal. Eggplant is the best I have ever tasted. Realy tasty. They were nice and warned us that it was going to take over half hour for the food to arrive. Hello? It was Christmas Eve and the place was hopping. No wonder. So, why did I take one star off? One of our party got violently ill after this meal. We don’t know if it the deep fried chicken(he was the only one to eat that) or if he picked up a bug. The other two in the group were perfectly fine.

Probably one of the best Chinese food restaurants in El Paso. It does not speak much in terms of Chinese food nationwide, but if you want something decent this place usually can get you there. I did find some of the things I ordered to be completely hit or miss. I don’t like huge menus that require Russian roulette. The service is middle of the line. I would probably try more things here, but I don’t like to gamble my money on hit or miss dishes. A place I would go to, but often bypass in the area for other restaurants.

My favorite Asian food in El Paso. My family begs me to go every time they’re in town visiting(and my picky-eater Mom rarely likes Chinese food), and it is my ritual pre-test dinner. The taste never disappoints!

Great selection of American Chinese cuisine as well as authentic Chinese dishes. Very friendly waiters and simple atmosphere. Food was delicious and they served very large portions. I can hold my own when it comes to eating but I could hardly finish half and had to pack the rest to go. I will be coming back soon!

After a noon time doctor appointment, we stopped at Sun Garden Chinese Bistro for lunch. My wife had Hunan chicken and I had the Mongolian beef. We both had a small cabbage salad and egg flour soup. Our meals were both tasty and plentiful. We both brought enough home for another meal later. Service was very good.

My wife and I ate there this afternoon. It was great. I had the Szechuan Beef,(lunch portion), $ 5.95. I have this dish at every Chinese restaurant I go to. The flavor at Sun Garden was the best I have had. The ratio of meat to vegetables was great, this dish had more meat than any place else I’ve been. I was very impressed My wife had the Sweet and Sour Chicken, also the lunch portion, and she said it was very good. We both took half of it home there was so much food on the lunch plate. Our server, Faith, was attentive and prompt, and very good. The restaurant as very clean and I was impressed how clean the restrooms were. They even had a sign in sheet for the employees who inspect and clean it This was the lunch hour and it had already been serviced twice. It may not sound like much but it is a big deal to me. They’ll be seeing us often. Tom Edgar

We had just watched«The Search For General Tso» and had the craving for Chinese food. We had the Asparagus Chicken with beef added and General Tso’s Chicken. The asparagus chicken/beef could have used a bit more spice and the General Tso’s chicken was delish — not overly sweet or spicy but enough for our tastes. I’m confident we will return again!

This is the best Chinese food we’ve had in months! I rate it up there with some of the best Ive ever had, period. My wife and I enjoyed the Cantonese chow fun w chicken. The atmosphere is wonderful; very clean(no dust) surfaces, ambient background Chinese music, sharp and smiley service.

My family went here for Father’s Day. The food was excellent! We had the beef broccoli, orange chicken, combination fried rice, lol mein and spring rolls. My husband returned later that week to get a half braised duck… delicious!

Decided to try here after reading other Unilocal reviews and we are thrilled to have found a sit down, real deal Chinese restaurant in the region. We liked it so much that we already decided to put it on our short list of favorite El Paso eateries and that it’s worth a drive from Las Cruces. The portions are generous and we definitely over ordered. Huge scallion pancakes!(Called green onion pancakes on the menu) Fantastic Sweet & Sour soup. And great presentation with the pineapple honey chicken, serve in ½ a pineapple. We also ordered two different tofu dishes — the Kung Pao is standout with loads of fresh veggies. A bowl of white rice came for all three of us to share and we all went home with leftovers. So why not 5 stars? After our meal was served we had a hard time getting the attention of our waiter. He also didn’t know the answer to most of our questions when asked about the menu. Not a big deal since we are pretty familiar with Chinese cuisine but it just wasn’t very helpful. However, we will definitely be back and look forward to it!

Great Chinese restaurant! We were doing a road trip over Christmas break and stopped in El Paso for 2 days. Naturally, nothing was open for Christmas dinner nearby except this place. We got there around 6pm and were told me grab our own seats. They were definitely under staffed that day so it took awhile to get menus, place our order, refills, the check, etc. However, the food was great! Since it was a holiday, we went all out. We got the mussels, lobster, seafood tofu soup, bak choy, pork chops, and fried rice. Everything was delicious! The seafood was fresher than I expected and the portions and flavors were great! The menu is pretty extensive so you’ll def satisfy everyone’s cravings when dining here.

Again, outstanding. They gave us a lot of chicken fried rice this time. Mongo beef, sweet sour pork and Gen Tao chicken was awesome.
