The motif is somewhat modern industrial. I don’t understand the turf on the benches and walls? I guess it’s a new fad? A large section of their floor was sticky, but other than that it was clean. The staff is very accommodating, friendly, and attentive. My girlfriend found Steve O’s via Instagram. They were advertising a bbq pulled pork Mac and Cheese burger. Unfortunately, it was a special for that day only(two weeks before my trip). When I told our server that we came specifically for that burger and I was from out of town, he quickly checked with a manager and the kitchen staff to see if they could make it for us. That was incredible! He didn’t shoot us down with a «No.» He actually asked if they could make an exception. Not many people/places do that. Excellent customer service! The burger was incredible! We ordered sweet potato fries as well but they were way too sweet for me. They coat them in cinnamon sugar I think? We will be back not only for the good food, but the solid customer service as well! Keep up the good work folks!

Didn’t even get to eat here. They wanted a party of two to share a table with a bunch of strangers. No thank you, I don’t want to have dinner with people I don’t know.

We tried Steve O’s Friday for the first time. It will not be the last. I got the Sangria and it was really tasty. My daughter got the coconut ice tea. It was sweet with a hint of coconut. She loved it, but warning it is very sweet. We started with the Brisket Nachos. They were amazing. Burgers are huge with good quality meat. Very fearful and the French fries were perfection. This place is a must !

Why the hell didn’t I visit this place sooner? After reading several reviews from my favorite Unilocaler, Tanya, I just HAD to check this place out for myself. From the pictures and the website, you would think this is just another burger joint. To the contrary; they have a little bit of everything… to include a rather astonishing decorum. Affectionately, they are categorized as an American Gastropub. For this visit, I decided to test out their lunch at the elegant bar. As with every other restaurant I visit, I perused their menu ahead of time and already had my mind set on the Shroom Burger. Holy hot damn! This is by far the best mushroom Swiss burger I have tasted yet! I won’t go into the description of ingredients they use; you can check that out on their website. I also tried the Parmesan fries, as I had to see what the big rave was all about. This one’s a mixed bag for me and it’s tricky to explain. They definitely weren’t bad at all. I got through maybe a fourth of the fries, however. Firstly, they give you a LOT of fries! If you look at the photo I took of my meal, you can actually see how high they pile those things. Second, I’m not sure if I was expecting something different(considering I’ve never had Parmesan fries before), but they give you a TON of Parmesan cheese. This gives the fries a slightly dry texture. So basically, it took some getting used to. The flavor is interesting enough. But just to give you an idea of what I’m trying to describe, this is probably the only time I felt the need to use ketchup with the fries. I needed something to counterbalance the abundance of Parmesan. So after devouring my burger and only making it through a fourth of the fries, I decided they were too precious a commodity to waste and took the rest home for my daughter to finish. Overall, they’re fine enough as a thing on their own. I just think they probably need time to grow on me and they just don’t seem like my thing. I may keep it simpler next time around and just order their original house fries. These guys are located in a tiny outlet assembly on Lee Trevino and…*sigh*…guys, I’m not gonna lament on this any further. From my Animal Hospital review on the same street, you guys should already know how I feel about Lee Trevino. I hate this location. So much. Now, I really want to take the wife there for date night, except I worry about two things: the potential crowd and somehow wedging my large truck inside their tiny parking lot. I have to say upon walking in I expected it to be bigger. This gastropub is rather small. So I imagine they get hella crowded on Saturday nights. I think my best option would be to visit them on an early Sunday afternoon when not as many people are out. I’d like to try their buffalo wings next time around and I think I’m already addicted to their Shroom burger. But their buffalo chicken sandwich looks divine as well! I may give that a whirl. I’ll order the house fries next time around though.

I think its Wednesdays when they have the burger special with a new gourmet burger every week on special. Burgers are delicious and the wings are huge, really nice and relaxed atmosphere.

This is a good place to go have dinner, lunch, or brunch. The street tacos are really well done and I tried to the drunken brat on a pretzel bun. We also had the loaded fries and a salad. Again, the quality of it all was very good. The kids had pancakes and chicken fingers which we plentiful and enjoyed. The waitress was kind enough to point out the portion size of the pancakes and suggested one order would cover too kids so that was very appreciated. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable. Staff was also very friendly. But, it is expensive! We had four dishes, 3 non-alcoholic dishes and a starter and it was 70 bucks! Now with the price you do get a quality meal so it is worth a try.

$ 5 burgers, what?! Too good to be true but only that it is true. The taste is something I crave every time I see a burger especially that veggie burger, made from scratch too! Really creative with those burgers though and I literally could eat the whole damn serving of fries because they’re so delish. Recommended for sure

When a friend suggested we catch up at this place, I was pleased that a Hopdoddys-esque restaurant was in El Paso. I was surprised to find it in a tiny strip mall but that was the only major negative(parking is sparse). The menu has a good spread including the ability to sub in a veggie patty to any of their burgers. Both my friend and I are vegetarian so this was a huge plus. I got the Greek Veggie burger though I ordered it without walnuts. Also got a side of sweet potato fries. I’ve had better fries and the bun was pretty plain but overall it was pretty good. Glad to see places like this in El Paso!

Very delicious over here, i loved the burguer i had! Smokey brisket! And also the ceviche is really good, different from Mexico’s recipe, but it is a different flavor, still tasty and delicious!

If you are starting planning to get healthy for the New Year then you better stay away from Steve Os. Steve Os has a great variety of sandwiches, burgers, and fries. One glance at their food will leave your mouth watering and will have you say goodbye to the healthy eating resolution. But if it’s cheat day… Game on! Their 1lb+ burgers are juicy and flavorful. They serve some of the best burgers and fries in El Paso. I went on a Tuesday night in 20 degree weather and there was a line out the door… Now that shows how good this place is! Steve Os is a must try! Note: If you are a vegetarian or if beef isn’t your thing, you can substitute any burger with a veggie patty or turkey patty.

Steve O’s is one of my favorite gastropubs in the Sun City, and you know I’m serious because I am not giggling while using the term ‘gastropub.’ They have a fun, modern atmosphere that manages to stay unpretentious, but most importantly the drink selection is great and the food is generally outstanding. The menu here is a veritable smörgåsbord of «ooh, I want to try that!» and yet it is very hard to steer away from the tried and true favorites. I love the ahi tuna, it is my go-to appetizer, and while you can’t go wrong with any of the burgers, the Hell Paso, their signature burger, remains number one in my book. Regardless of what I order, the bacon mac and cheese is the MUSTHAVE side, it is delicious, one of the best in El Paso. While dinner at Steve O’s would be excellent any day of the week, I’m a big fan of $ 3 Taco Tuesdays and $ 5 Burger Thursdays, because I’m a baller on a budget. I love Steve O’s atmosphere, it is a great place for after-work drinks, they have a plethora of craft and seasonal beers that go great with the food, and the numerous TV’s make also make it a great place to catch a game with your best buds, or even your just-ok buds.

Fantastic Gourmet burger place. Only downsides are you are def paying a premium for the quality, food can take a while, and its on the east side so I just won’t come here as often as I would want. Deceptively small from the outside Steve Os feels surprisingly roomy once you come inside. I love the layout with tvs everywhere. Yet it doesnt feel like a standard sports bar(like a buffalo wild wings). It still manages to have a trendier vibe. Service was polite and prompt. Decent selection of draft beers. Although definitely a cool interior, this place really earns it 5 stars because of its food. I ordered the Hell Paso Burger(medium rare and it came out medium rare) with a fried egg with the upgrade to the parmisan garlic fries. My buddy and me also ordered a side of the guacamole. Guacamole took surprisingly long to come out and was quickly followed by the hamburgers so that was kind of annoying. But its a nice amount of guac, well prepared, and delicious. The chips were also high quality. The hamburger was massive, but not one of those obsenely huge heart attack inducing hamburgers you might see. Fried egg was cooked perfectly. My friend and I both thought the use of pickled jalapenos was amazing as it gave the burger some heat but didnt over power the burger. The fries are exactly the kind of fries i like. Perfectly crispy, thin, and very generously doused in parmesan cheese. Soooooo good. The cup of ketchup was ridiculously small though for the amount of fries you get. But i could have asked for more(and would have if i had not become so full from the guac and the burger). I don’t hit up the east side that often and when I do i usually go to my fav place over there coco.miel. But it now has some solid competition with Steve Os!

This place serves one bad ass burger! I know it’s Texas, and one should have high standards for all things beef, but I could not imagine a better burger. We strolled in with a large group for lunch with not a ton of time. They seated us immediately.(This place should have been more busy based on the great food.) The staff was friendly, probably because the owners were both on hand. I engaged the female owner sitting at the bar doing books in conversation, and she was very nice. The other owner was in the kitchen. I had the Hell Paso burger, with the optional fried egg on top. Chorizo and egg pin a burger. Hell yes! The burgers were great all around, and the vegetarian enjoyed a salad. This is the kind of cool menu you would expect in Austin, but in a casual El Paso sports bar with lots of tvs. I love this bar! And I didn’t get to try all the cool beers, because I had to go back to work.

The quality of the beef here is very questionable. I now get why they put like 50 toppings on the burgers here. It’s to mask the low quality beef patty. I had the Hell Paso Burger because it’s all anyone talks about. It made me wish I had a McDonalds Big Mac on standby. There are tons of better Burger options in El Paso. DONOT waste your time here. Go to Hoppy Monk or Block Table and Tap if you want a great burger.

The Bartender Garrett is amazing. The guy is not only a damn good mixologist but he’s fantastic company and carry’s a good conversation. The food speaks for itself. I’ve had the Hell Paso burger, chilaquiles and the Chorizo fries. I recommend all three. My only regret is not being able to try everything on the menu.

I’ll be honest, i wasn’t expecting this place to be some awesome looking at their location. Is it a small place? Yes, yes it is. One large table with stools all around it seems to be the one table you would get if you are going in there with a larger group. Then again Steve O’s seems to be the place you want to keep your crew at a minimum when coming here. The Hell Paso burger was the reason why i decided to come check this place out. Once we walked it we were warmly greeted by one of the servers there who was quick to tell us it was open seating and to pick our own. Usually when i encounter this kind of seating in a new place it takes a while for the staff to figure out we just sat, fortunately for us this was not the case here. Our server came up and introduced himself, told us about the specials for the day and proceeded to recommend a brew to pair with said specials. Although I’m not much of a beer drinker our server seemed genuinely invested in his recommendation so we ended up getting a couple of those(also we got to keep the glass which is always a plus). We skipped appetizers, which was actually a smart thing once we got our burgers in. I went with the loaded french fries and my buddy went garlic parmesan. My Hell Paso burger was good and the fried egg on top really made it a hearty meal, but the true superstar here was the«special» burger they had for that day. This masterpiece had candied bacon and a strawberry pico de gallo that i absolutely loved! I was checking out their breakfast menu for a weekend and i was intrigued so i might hit this place up yet again for some breakfast. The price might seem a little high but they always feature specials that if you take advantage of really helps out your wallet. I would definitely recommend coming and enjoying their atmosphere and burgers if you haven’t done so!

Visited today for the first time and I have to say, I was not dissapointed. The service was a little slow and I think they should step it up a bit during busier times. Food wise, everything was excellent. I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and Parmesan fries. Bread was fresh, pork was well seasoned and flavorful. The best part, the guacamole and chips. These are not chips from Walmart. These are the real deal. Nothing better than a meal made with many fresh ingredients. Will do definitely visit again. Note: If you are going to charge $ 2 for extra chips. Please make it a regular sized order and not a baby plate. That’s the one thing I didn’t like about my experience.

Was pretty excited about checking this place out. We live on the west side and are always looking for new places to eat. After reading the reviews we decided it was worth the risk. Long story short, we were not disappointed. Now for more detail. I really wish I could give half stars. My main focus when I go some where to eat is the VALUE it provides. Cost isn’t as much of concern if I feel it has provided a great value. Let me just say, I feel for the quality of food, serivce and atmosphere stevo’s scores extremely high. I am still working on my scoring system but it would be towards the top. My wife had the hell paso burger with the optional(required fried egg) with sweet potato fries. The egg was creamy and the burger had an excellent blend of flavors. Nothing really overpowered the other. Just a great blend. The fries were tasty. I prefer my fries crunchy and these were not. That’s okay because it was my wife’s dish and she really liked them. Overall, I will order this next time. On to my dish. I had the Hawaiian burger. It was suggested by our server. Overall I enjoyed the burger. It was good but not GREAT. I was not disappointed but not blown away. That is the reason behind the 4 stars. The burger was cooked perfect(medium) but the sauce seemed to overpower a lot of the other flavors. The pineapple did not seem fresh and more out of a can. If they would relax on the sauce, maybe it would allow the other flavors to be exposed. For my side I had the parmesan fries. They were great as they were crispy and loaded with parmesan. The cheese was light even though it was heavily dusted on the fries. I probably enjoyed the fries the most. Next time I will be ordering the hell paso. The service was good and the atmosphere was great. Overall we will be back as the value seems good but I will be having a different burger when I return.

I had been waiting for a whole year for the opportunity to check out this place since first laying eyes on those beautiful food pics that fill my Instagram feed. And it was worth the wait. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is because, if I follow my husband’s criteria, it must be the best burger I’ve ever had and I’m 80. I’m not 80. But it was freaking delicious. Plus, the service was en pointe and the atmosphere and décor were cool. I got the Holy Guacamole with the veggie patty and sweet potato fries. The patty was lightly breaded with panko and crispy, and an explosion of amazing flavor. So good. The SP fries were perfectly seasoned and salted. They were worth the extra $ 1.50 for an upgrade. I also liked that the waiter left a jug of water at the table and was quick with the lemon garnish. I hope another year doesn’t go by before my next visit!
