We went on Father’s Day and were greeted and seated quickly. Everything was brought out right away and everyone was so nice. The service was perfect and the environment was great too! My only complaint was, for me, the food was just a tad bit expensive for the quality of food. However, my husband thought his food was amazing. For dessert the cheesecake with strawberries won me over. The service we got is definitely the deciding factor that family and I will definitely be going back.

We came by on a Saturday morning and were quickly greeted and seated. Our drinks were brought out right away and our food was served shortly after. The service was prompt and extremely polite. In a city with tons of great Mexican food options, this definitely makes it worth coming back for.

The atmosphere is contemporary and open but the food is lacking. I had green cheese enchiladas that were disappointing. Some of the ingredients did not match the quality of other cheese enchiladas you can find around El Paso. The tortillas used for the enchiladas tasted store-bought and had a weird texture. I didn’t finish my plate. However, the salsa served with the tostadas when you first sit down was great! Probably my favorite part about the experience.

Service was quick and friendly. Food was not so great. Chicken tortilla soup-was chicken soup with tortilla soup fixings and soup was cold. Portion was too small for the price. Rest of the meal was fine.

I’m going to start off by giving this restaurant ONESTAR but not because of the food. The food is quite good. We love the soup here. The problem we have here is the overly dramatic and severely not needed waits. We are currently waiting right now and there are 5TABLESOPEN. That’s right. 5. Yet when a couple just walked in, they were told it would be a 20 minute wait and they just left! Really Las Palmas!!! If you don’t have the appropriate wait staff, shouldn’t you HIRESOME??? We brought this up with management and he said that this method is «routine». Wow. So people wait for no reason and patrons leave and you’re ok with that?

My wife loves the tacos and I do, too. I just had the Las Palmas Burrito and it is delicious! I couldn’t finish the giant thing so come hungry or share. The food never disappoints. They always accommodate if you come late and the staff are always so friendly.

I’m from Arizona and was in the mood for some good Mexican food before heading back home. As soon as we approached the door we were greeted by the host and she even came up and opened the door for us! We were seated immediately and our waitress Jasmine was very friendly and attentive to us. She also was able to give us different suggestions on ordering and I am glad we listened! The food was amazing and we did not have to wait long especially since the restaurant was packed.(It was mid morning on a Sunday so you can imagine) I definitely recommend for anyone to come here. The staff is very friendly especially Jasmine she made the experience that much better, and of course the food was delish!!!

Went Saturday afternoon, short wait for a table. Our server JD was awesome! Always had drinks filled and chips and salsa full. Food was great, didn’t wait long and was fresh and hot! Nice place even has a bar! I will definitely go back!

Pretty good place. Decent food, but good, fast service. The staff are very attentive and enthusiastic. Occasionally there is a large rush in the afternoons but generally there is no wait. Definitely worth a try.

Finally got a chance to try this place after all of the Instagram pics I would see. The actual environment and setting is really nice. Very modern. We were actually surprised. The food was good, alright, okay, have eaten worse. The presentation of the plates looks good. Average prices, decent portions. The biggest concern we had was no spice in the food. If you like your food without a kick, this is a great place for you.

The caldo was absolutely tasty! I was concerned with food being salty but it was not bad at all. The brisket tacos and the beef fajitas were really good too. The salsa we had was very much authentic none of the Pace business other people commented about previously. We sat inside and the noise level was low enough to have a conversation; loud places annoy me. The Horchata needs a little work but not too bad. This place is pricy but the food made it worth it. Wait staff was attentive and polite. I have no complaints! This would make for an awesome date night or family dinner. The patio outside looked very inviting considering the weather is warm now. Will visit again definitely.

Sorry but if you have a half empty restaurant, advise a customer there is a 20 – 30 minute wait because you’re waiting on another table to clear of customer who haven’t started eating yet, then there no reason to have other customer wait. Will give another try but until then, bad review

Looking for a friendly and local Mexican restaurant with great service and KIDFRIENDLY? Check out Las Palmas. Their food is fantastic, we love their queso and enchiladas, and as a BONUS the kids menu is very delicious. Very quick service and a full bar for those of you who like to have a variety for beers or drinks with dinner, you have plenty to choose from. Great prices as we can eat there 2 adults and a child with 2 full meals plus kids meal and appetizer for $ 50 or so. Use the 5 star app to earn free appetizers and deserts.

Okay, so here goes my take on this place. First we came to this place on a Monday, 6:30. It didn’t look packed but I guess it was. The hostess didn’t greet us she just asked«how many». For me the best first impression is the host. That kinda made me think this place was just okay, already. She took our name and we were seated in less than 5 minutes. Our waiter was nice. I’m not too sure about his name because his hello was just an average, hello. Nothing to remember him by. He took our drink order and waited a little too long to come take our food order. The waiter did talk to lots of tables which is good, maybe they were regulars. For us, he did fill up our drinks frequently. As far as his service, he did a good job overall. Wish I could tell you his name. He didn’t say thank you to the entire table. We walked out of the restaurant without a greeting or goodbye. The food: Burger was great! Enchiladas are very American. Not spicy at all. Fajita Burrito was okay. The meat was very fatty. Only five strips of fajitas in the burrito. No sour cream or guacamole came with it. Almost sure it said it did. I could be wrong. Shrimp tacos– my boy loved them! I gave this place just a three because of the long wait for our food. Took about 40 minutes. Also, the place could use a course on customer service. They should all say hi and smile to all tables. If this was my restaurant I’d definitely retrain my crew. The prices are also pretty high compared to other Mexican places around town. I’m not sure I would go back honestly. Good looking place just needs a different culture.

Wow fifteen minute just to get a table, when there is 5 open booths. Looked clean. Not sure why we had to wait. When we were finally called up we were seated in the booth I was looking at the entire time :(they didn’t touch it the entire time we waited. After being seated we had the same waitress walking past. We wondered, is that our waitress? Well after not being offered a drink, or a «be right with you»… Made us pretty upset. After 10 minutes, being able to memorize the menu and still no interaction, we left.

I love Las Palmas. I love this location too. I know this used to be Gills until they moved. The Gills was taken over by new management and soon closed down and was extremely happy when Las Palmas opened up with management from Gills. I love this retaurant. I especially love what used to be the«Gills Nachos» I highly recommend this place.

This place is awesome! The prices are fair and the food is really good! Above all that the service is really good here. The staff is friendly and fast. They have a great selection of food and their red beers are good a well. Try the red and green enchiladas! All you have to do is ask.

It’s been mentioned before but, everything is so SALTY!!! The cook has a heavy hand with the salt. This isn’t the first time. I come here at least once a month due to personal reasons but after today, I don’t think I can come here to eat anymore. I ordered the combination #1 plate and the green chicken enchiladas were so salty. The beans balanced it out but I couldn’t even finish one enchilada. My dad ordered the fish tacos and the fish was way too salty!!! My tongue is still burning from just one bite. To add to that, the aftertaste of the fish taco has an odd freezer burn taste. Two stars for the spacious seating indoor and outdoor area, the bar area the churro a la mode and the live mariachi band once in a while.

Food is too salty, the cook needs to learn to taste his food. It was not only my food but several others in my party complained that the food was overly salty. The service is good, somewhat attentive staff. I had the Burrito special, it was way too salty. My wife ordered the brisket tacos, they were even more salted then my burrito. We sent those back and they replaced them with the chicken tacos, which were ok. We also had the tortilla soup, the broth was overly salty and lacked any real substance.
