This is an awesome spot for lunch at the deli in the rear of the liquor store. California dreaming sandwich rocks.

It’s been a while since I’d been in the Sunland Park Spec’s, and I was amazed to see how many new products it carries now! I found candies I haven’t seen since I was a kid growing up near Buffalo, NY, all kinds of new cheeses, N/A drinks, coffee, and tea. The selection is rapidly outgrowing The World Market, and it’s right up the road instead of being 40 minutes away on the east side of El Paso. Come check it out; they have sandwiches and drinks in the back at the deli as well!

Specs is a liquor store. A very very very large liquor store. They have about every beer and wine and spirit that you can imagine. A nicer place though, not like a barred window paint advertisement on the outside wall kinda thing. It’s legit. They have a dry helpful staff and alllllll sorts of other stuff from snacks to dishes that go with your alcohol. They also have a deli, and a pretty large menu of sandwiches that they’ll make for you and you can eat there at the small tables they have. I tried the French dip… Very good au jus. 10% military discount at all times and they often have wine samples or select spirits for smaller throughout the store. Not bad if you’re out in Sunland Park area

This Spec’s is great! Couldn’t ask for a bigger better store. It has everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. Liquor Beer Wine Snacks A sandwich shop Dessert Barware Wrapping paper and gift bags Cigars Coffee A machine that cools your bottles in a couple of minutes AND tons of employees that help you out and are knowledgeable about the merchandise. I’m sure I’m missing a few items on that list. The store is very clean and the service is friendly. Besides you get a discount if you purchase with cash or debit card. Overall, this is an oasis for alcohol lovers and conoisseurs alike.

The place is huuuuuuuuge! Some of the best prices i see across town and the selection is one that can’t be matched here in El Paso. If you are running cash on you then this place is the best since they do give you a discount when paying cash, if you are the type of person that makes sure everything is plastic while buying things then the prices might not seem as good. Their barware is nice, but i feel it does need a few more things to make it amazing. As far as the workers here, well it all depends who you end up helping you. Some are nice and friendly while others seem to just be there for the money and can’t wait to get home. All in all its a good place to buy whatever you need for the next get together, or just a good bottle of whiskey for the next time you sit down and write down some reviews.

I never thought shopping for alcohol could be this much fun and interesting. Spec’s is a magical wonderland where a craft beer enthusiast like myself can get lost for hours looking at their huge selection of anything from crafts to wine to spirits. So far everything i’ve ever looked for and discovered i’ve been able to find at Spec’s. They also have cash discounts on mostly everything in the store! They have a deli where they use high quality ingredients from the bread to the cheese so the experience is very unique. So many different options like a bread with jalapeño and cheese baked in it! I really like their glassware selection because it taught me what glasses are meant for what type of beer, wine, liquor. And to top it off they have a cigar selection pretty close to any cigar shop in town. The staff is always very helpful which is awesome since the place is pretty big and it can be pretty hard to find something specific if you don’t know the layout. They are also very helpful when it comes to finding something based on your likes and tastes. I recommend everyone to come look around here. You’ll definitely find something interesting and new to enjoy.

300 dollars later… got wines at good prices, spices, salumis… insane selection of stuff you don’t need but so much fun to have. Glad I live over 200 miles away, I would be broke if I lived closer.

Surprisingly great burgers and sandwiches! Miss ordered the veggie sandwich, which was loaded with sprouts, some kinda dry eggplant and more, on sourdough. My husband had the smokehouse burger and curly fries. My daughter had the grilled cheese and fries. The fries were a little limp but seasoned well. The liquor part of the store has a great selection of wines, including organic, as well as a good choice of beer and cigars.

Spec’s is amazing! I love their service n variety of sandwiches. The new chef added some spice to the soups and it’s delicious, I saw paella but I was a day late! Really hoping to try it! It’s always fresh and tasty. Never had a bad meal here; even when I ordered the liver sandwich, which was like a pâté, it wasn’t bad, just note quite how I like my liver.

I came here to try out their sandwiches since I heard they were good. Well the rumors were right! I usually get a sandwich at Corner Bakery which is down the street from Spec’s and they do have some good food, but the portions can be disappointing for the price. Compared to Spec’s their sandwiches are packed with meat and veggies and in good portion at a great price. Was not disappointed with the taste either. Definitely would come here for lunch again.

Enjoyed the selection very much. They have a little of everything and some great eclectic choices. For example, when I lived in Europe, I fell in love with an uncommon variant of Belgian beer called faro. Most places I ask in the states have never even heard of it. Spec’s has Lindeman’s Faro sitting on the shelf. They also have a great sake section, including the sometimes hard to find Ti Ku coconut nigori. The snacks are great as well — excellent cheeses, olives, spices, sauces. My dinner tonight may not be the healthiest in the world, but it’s going to be delicious. The one thing I’d like to see is a broader selection of German riesling. They have some good selections, but the«German» section is at least one third riesling wines from Washington state. Would love to see some more from the Mosel valley, the heart of the German Riesling region.

Unfortunately they have changed their deli meat supplier. They now use the same brand I can get at Albertsons. Still love the store, but very disappointed in change!

Wow! I was so amazed when I walked in! So many different food, spices sauces, drinks! Caviars from around the world! My husband and I went in and we kept calling each other over to look at this or look at that, and finally we just drifted apart and took in everything at our own paces:) I love to cook and I love to find ingredients from around the world and this place has so much to offer I was just thinking, what can I make with this? I found brown mustard seeds! A nice sized jar for under $ 6! After I walked down every aisle, I started looking for my husband, but I couldn’t see him. Then I noticed a room near the registers. Cigars! Yup, he was in there :) I didn’t check out the deli, I am more interested in making my own food, but it looked nice and quiet and everyone looked content. Oh yeah, giant tea and coffee section as well. If you want to spoil yourself rotten with some gourmet foodstuffs, definitely go here! If you are looking for a specific ingredient, go here! Prices were pretty good too, also military and veteran discount! Staff is super friendly and helpful.

I’m not a drinker, but you needn’t be one to appreciate all that Spec’s has to offer. There’s something for the foodies, cigar aficionados, or gourmands that might drop by. My reason for going here is that I have a budding entomophagist, and he enjoys their flavored fried crickets. If you are a drinker, then I imagine there’s no better place in town. The selection looks very thorough.

This place is magical. I got a lot of fantastic Christmas gifts at this place, all totally tailored to everyone personal tastes and sweet memories. They have specialty foods section is huge and varied. It makes for great gifts to people who you know hate clutter. Smoked salmon that lasts forever for my salmon-loving brother who travels and camps. Swiss Kinder bar chocolates for me, the ones I had only when I lived in Geneva. Boyfriend found a hot sauce from Washington he had not seen for years, from his childhood. Hungarian paprika, specialty cheeses, fancy teas, 88% chocolate for a boyfriend who loves dark dark dark chocolate. Also, the Indian curry powder is cheaper here than at Big 8. Plus, it’s actually from India. Large cheap bottle of chocolate wine($ 6 for a 1.5L bottle). I have never seen a cheaper price. Also if you’re looking for just a standard cheap wine, you won’t find a cheaper one. They have bottles here for under $ 3. Totally serious. Also, paying with debit card should give you the same as cash discount. At least it did for me.

Easily one of the best stores for foodies and alcoholics(I kid) alike. I was able to do almost half of my xmas shopping here as well as pick up some goodies for myself. The beer wine and spirit’s section and food section are equal to each other and you can seriously find almost anything you are looking for. I was even able to find the beer I drank while in Argentina, Quilmes, and a tequila named for the city where my mother’s side of the family comes from, Solólrzano. They have wines from all over the world and there is even a chiller that will chill your bottle within minutes. Their food sections is as impressive and they have everything from sweets such as kinder chocolates to authentic hungarian paprika. They have an amazing array of hot sauce, and I was actually even able to find a brand, Ass Kickin’, that I used growing up in WA, and haven’t seen in years! The staff is friendly and helpful and you never have to wait long in line. Things are very reasonably priced, especially considering they are hard to find anywhere else. Two tips: Bring cash as prices are lower on items paid for with cash, and bring in your old corks to donate to help fund cancer research!

Go out of your way for Spec’s. They’re better stocked, friendlier, and more attractive than the Dallas holier-than-thou stalwarts(Centennial, Siegel’s). Props to John for wine counsel. Spec’s in Dallas and Houston seemed to have really great prices.(12 Pack Shiner Light Blond was $ 12 with cash discount.) No spirits. Go to Central for booze. Take advantage of the cash discount — also available when you use your debit card.

Now that there’s a Spec’s in town, I’m hoping that will pave the way towards one day getting an H-E-B, and eventually El Paso will fully integrate to the rest of Texas! Absolutely great variety of beer, liquor, and wine, especially for those of us who have gotten to that age where we emphasize alcohol quality over alcohol quantity. Didn’t buy any deli or food items, but the selection is certainly impressive.

This place is a SUPER market for all those things that you should not do. Alcohol and cigars. Included in the selections are holiday gift bundles and all sorts of associated goods. The deli in the back has tables which you can sit at and eat the big sandwich they just made for you! There are ‘taste’ testing samplers sometimes for the wines etc. There is a cigar humidor with a decent selection. There are humidors and accessories avail for purchase. The prices are good on cigars. If you pay by debit or cash it is even better on the price! Cliff notes: *** Wine Beer Hard Liquor Cigars Cheese Meat Full Deli Sand witch shop with seating inside. ***
