I had lunch with my family and it was ok. I had the casear chicken sandwich with macaroni. My family also had sandwiches as well as soup. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice.

Great salad variety. Chicken on Spinach Sweet crisp salad was slightly dry. Good thing is the salads are not drenched in dressing. The Asian Street salad had lots of flavor. Definitely to go and try other dishes

This place is ok for breakfast and I like the atmosphere but the lunch menu is always gross. Chemical-tasting soups and salad dressings. My Cuban panini came to me cold. Cheese not melted, etc. I sent it back to press again and it was still cold! Iced chai tasted like cleaning fluid. I mean, the cookies are pretty good and my kids like their pancakes, but I won’t be coming back.

Nice place to enjoy a light dinner. The waiting staff wasn’t as friendly as other nearby restaurants.

Get place for good coffee, eats, and teleworking. This location is a hot spot on the westside of town. Which may impact your ability to have a professional conversation on the phone since it can get a little loud. They have tables, booths and some lounging areas. This place is one of my favorites if I need to telework.

We’ve been to the Corner Bakery Café a number of times for carryout. The service is average at best. We’ve had some slow times, but not enough to get you overly upset. The wife bought sandwiches for lunch and salads for dinner that day. She had the Uptown Turkey Harvest sandwich and I had the Tuna Salad. Both had very good avocado and crisp bacon on them. We split the salads, the Spinach Sweet and the Chopped Salad. They were both excellent. The spinach had orange, grapes, cranberries, strawberries, and crumbled blue cheese along with a unique raisin pecan crisp product. The strawberry dressing was exceptional, the chopped salad dressing above average. We only give CBC3 stars due to average carryout service at best and mainly due to a very, very stale piece of chocolate bundt cake. Being from the restaurant business, there is no reason such a stale piece of food should ever be served. The condition of the cake sold casts doubt on the freshness of any other bakery product. We’ll come back for the sandwiches and salads, just never again any desserts or bakery items.

Love many menu items. Lemon chicken ozo soup is a favorite and the Spinach Crispy Salad. Apricot rhugala is awesome too. Service was great and wait staff is very nice and helpful. Called in my dinner order and it was ready in time and piping hot.

Poor service pricy mediocre food. The breakfast Pannini is not a Pannini just grilled toast which was soaking in grease and was cold. The potatoes were cold and microwave. Won’t be back. Other locations in Dallas and Houston have always been fair. I don’t think workers and management here are properly trained.

Soup, sandwiches, and salads oh my. Located conveniently off of Sunland Park Dr near Target, Spec’s, Barnes and Nobles, Party City and much more. During the winter I crave soup and this place hits the spot. I can have soup and sandwich other can have whatever. Feels like you are eating fresh and healthy. Indoor and outdoor seating available. You enter a nice deli style restaurant where you order at the counter and receive a number. it is clean, except for the drink area which is to be expected since lots of people tend to spill and leave mess while getting their beverage. Here is the major draw back. Service. While I didn’t really mind cause I like to be left alone I expect some service other than here is your food. The concept of few servers that offer and self service is fine if everything was available. I have in the past gone and there has been no silverware available and it was not brought with my meal. Also, when I needed a To Go box I had to track down someone. Who just happened to the manager. I expressed my concern over the service issue and she assured me she would talk to her staff. Uh ok sure. I was not in the mood to really care that day. Bottom line: You want deli style food that you can order, sit and eat and leave with little to no hassle or interaction with those outside of yourself and your party, this is what you are looking for. Oh and try the crisp bread. it is delicious.

The corner bakery at the West Side location needs to re-evaluate their staff. The girls there don’t want to be there and it shows. Our order came out incomplete and when we asked for Ranch the girl rolled her eyes. The spoon for the soup came out dirty. No manager around and it showed. Horrible when they are busy.

I usually always get breakfast food here, sometimes I get a panini or a sandwich. I like the food. It is usually crowded here and it can get noisy. We like to go here for brunch on the weekends though so a crowd is to be expected. For a family the prices are kind of high, like $ 8 for a kid’s pb&j plate.

I’m not sure if the concept behind this place is ‘zero customer service’ or what. I’ve come here multitudes of times and while the food is great and the desserts/pastries amazing… this place has the WORST customer service of any place on the Westside. The servers are usually really young and so inattentive that it’s rude. Utensils? I have to ask for them. Food takes too long to get to my table? I get a barely audible & forced ‘Uhm. Sorry.’ Dirty plates? More than once I’ve had servers that won’t pick up the plates themselves, rather they tell me to hand them the plates. Horrible service. I’m so disappointed that even the amazing pastries can’t make me come back.

This place is good but after a while there’s only so much you can do to make it different. My usual is the California grille panini combo with loaded bake potato soup My service was amazingly fast today so that’s a perk

Living in Saint Louis for my adult life I became a big fan of Saint Louis Bread Co. They have great salads, sandwiches and bread! The menu at Corner Bakery reminds me of them! The ambience is nice and the service has not been too shabby.

Yum! I love the salads here, and they’re very accommodating when I ask for«no bread.» Most places skip that detail. Although I am sometimes disappointed with the freshness of the produce… Especially the Lettuce. Regardless I’d rather eat here than some cliché greasy fast food joint.

Terrible experience. I’m no fan of chain restaurants but my original impression of The Corner Bakery was in San Diego and it was a pleasant meal. Unfortunately the Sunland Park Dr. location in El Paso changed my opinion. I was looking for freshly baked bread for sandwiches. I called to verify they had what I was looking for. The person who answered had to go and verify but said they did. We arrived ready to buy some sweet treats and a loaf of rye. The girl at the counter seemed annoyed that we were ordering bread. She walked around the corner then turned around and said they didn’t have any. I mentioned I had just called and was told they did. She seemed even more annoyed but went to ask the manager. A moment later they both returned to let me know that they did have the bread but it would have to be heated as it was in the freezer and would take 5 – 10 mins. My brother and I agreed to have a cup of coffee and wait. I went ahead and paid for the treats, bread and coffee. The manager seeing this as a chance to up sell us tried to push more pastries towards us since we had to wait. I didn’t expect anything for free but my experience at restaurants has always been if they were making you wait for something cause they were not prepared was that they would offer you a glass of water, tea or maybe a coffee. Instead she tried to sell us more stuff. Thank you but no. So as instructed we filled our coffee cup and took a seat to wait for our fresh loaf of defrosted rye which would be brought out to is when it was ready. 30 minutes later I ask my brother how long should we wait before we mention that the bread was promised 20 mins ago. My brother went to the counter and the manager was confused when he asked her about the bread. She had to go looking for it and when she returned said it had just come out of the oven even though it was in a plastic bag and while warm was not close to hot to the touch. We got home and started to prepare some delicious sandwiches I reach for the bread and realized the slicing machine only went half way and it was not actually sliced. Not a big deal I own a knife I can slice this thing. Till I started to cut the bread and realized it was still partially frozen and not cooked on the inside. Ok so it was a bad experience but the corner bakery isn’t that far away so my brother took the loaf of bread back. The manager was even less helpful and only attempted to right things after my brother asked for her name and mentioned filling out the survey on our receipt. This is not a location we will soon to visit again.

There I was: stuck behind a large SUV filled with large people in the drive-thru line at whataburger, when I felt my conscience nagging at me… what was I thinking? Did I really want to drive a 2,000 calorie meal into my gut for lunch? Grease and high-fructose corn syrup? I watched the lady driver in the SUV in front of me. Hypnotized, I stared at her neck fat jiggling as she barked her order into the glowing sign. No, I couldn’t do it. I threw the car in reverse and took it across the street to Corner Bakery. This place reminds me a lot of Panera Bread, but since we don’t have those here, it’s the next best thing. They have a pretty wide selection of sandwiches, soups, pasta, salads, and sweet baked goods. The store is clean, and the food has been good every time I’ve been. I usually get the turkey pretzel sandwich, which comes on a badass soft pretzel bun and has some kind of tangy dijon mustard. The service is actually pretty quick, considering how busy they seem to be every time I go. It seems like there are 200 employees working here at any given time, which isn’t a bad thing. It seems like they’re on top of keeping up with the tables getting cleaned, and they are all friendly. Also, these people aren’t waiters and waitresses. They bring the food to your table and clean up after you. Don’t be a jerk and expect them to run around getting refills for you or whatever, especially since you probably had no intention of leaving any kind of tip.

I frequent CB when traveling Here is a recommendation for this location. When the customer is perceived as an inconvenience, please lock your doors 30 minutes prior to closing. This way you can shutdown your equipment and have it cleaned by your posted closing time. I arrived right before closing and was offered a limited menu because the equipment had already been turned off for cleaning. Ended up getting cold items to go.
