I ate here a while ago with my boyfriend and his family and the food was amazing we haven’t found anything similar and even though it is a little far away from where we live it is totally worth the long drive

Ya know how they say, «you never forget your first»? Such is the case when comparing this place to Kangnam Style… which I found myself doing the entire time. Korea House Restaurant is the kind of place you go to for lunch because it’s close to the center of El Paso, and it’s the middle of the work day; which means, since you can’t or shouldn’t drink anyway, the fact that this place does not serve alcohol wouldn’t even be a deterrence. Now, naturally I ordered the ever popular cheese Ramen with egg. But before I could enjoy that concoction, I was bombarded with about 12 small plates of traditional Korean sides which I’ll never eat anyway. And I swear… I think my waist line went up 4 sizes as soon as I looked at my table half covered in side dishes. Seriously, I felt like a fat kid at summer camp. The Ramen was A-okay. I don’t have much to say about it, except that I kept comparing it to the same dish at Kangnam Style. First of all, the broth was not quite as spicy or consistent as the aforementioned. Second, KHR breaks up their egg. I realize this is an option when preparing Korean cheese Ramen. However, being an avid egg lover such as I am, I now also realize that I prefer my egg to be relatively whole when eating this dish. Honestly, I couldn’t tell if there was any yolk left in the bowl or not. Speaking of bowls. The one they use spins awkwardly inside another plastic one. Not a huge concern, but slightly annoying for OCD guys like myself. Overall, I wouldn’t mind returning to at least try out their chicken bulgogi. Perhaps in a future updated review(if I even do one) I can give them a higher rating. For now, I’d say they rank around 3 half covered table full of superfluous side dishes out of 5.

Some of my favorite Korean restaurants are in the Northeast so I was pretty surprised when I saw there was a place that I hadn’t tried yet. Korea House is in a great location and is a decent choice for your Korean food needs. My husband and I both opted for one of my favorites, bulgogi. I asked for lettuce on the side, which is $ 1 more(not too bad). We didn’t order an appetizer, but their potato/vegetable pancakes look really good so I’ll be ordering that next time. The sides and food came our fairly quick. I noticed they gave pretty small portions for the sides(I know Korean sides are usually small, but these seemed to be half the size of other restaurants in the area). I think they’re just trying to save on waste which is good. For the most part I enjoyed their sides and everything tasted like it was made in house, even their kimchi. The kimchi, by far, was my favorite, but the cucumber kimchi, soft potatoes, bean sprouts, and sweet cucumbers were all in the running too. Some of the sides were a little underwhelming… they just needed a little more time to marinade in the juices. The bulgogi was okay. The meat was a little tough, but not too bad. I think it could’ve also been marinaded a little longer. All that said, I’m still very interested in trying the kalbi and KH’s soups. The restaurant itself is casual, nothing fancy. It’s actually pretty nice for a hole-in-the-wall. We left about $ 35 poorer, which is a little steep for the portion size and quality, but pretty normal for Korean restaurants in the area. KH seems like it’s family owned… love! Everyone’s greeted when they enter, the waitress was great. Very friendly service. Pretty sure I’ll make my way here again soon.

I tired this restaurant with my family and loved the food here. One of the best Korean restaurants in El Paso. I had the BBQ chicken and my wife had the bulgogi. My son had kimbab. I strongly recommend coming here to eat.

For a small restaurant, the food here is excellent, affordable, and so is the service. The waitress constantly checks in on you to see if drinks need to be refreshed or any banchan(side dish) needs a refill. Granted my 2nd experience there was a bit iffy, considering the waitress had to write down the suggested tip amount on the check. Safe to say since my returns, I have not seen that specific waitress in site. Compared to the other Korean restaurants that I have visited, this is my 2nd favorite Korean restaurant in El Paso and leaves me with a happy tummy.

I loved this place the food is fresh and the service is excellent. Upon my arrival I was welcomed by a sweet lady who was very attentive and explained the menu to me and guided me through what the popular dishes were and she even stopped to teach me proper pronunciation of menu items. I was impressed by the lay out of the food and the smell of the fresh ingredients. If you are looking for authentic Korean food this is the place to go

I had high hopes that were quickly shattered. The large portions made me think this place was going to wow me. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. The array of sides make it difficult to dine alone, the portion sizes are overwhelming. If you come, I highly recommend bringing company. However, I probably won’t eat here again, the food was lackluster. Not nasty, but not good. The hot beef bowl was mainly veggies, not a lot of meat and not very flavorful. The veggie pancake was super bland too. Siracha sauce couldn’t save the taste. If you are in the area give it a try, your taste buds may be different from mine.

I got all the little standard Korean side dishes so I cannot complain. The rice was cooked perfectly. I got the ribs(bigger than I expected which is cool) but not as glazed as I like. I still enjoyed my meal and the service was great.

Wow, this place is fantastic! I felt like I was back in Korea! I had the Dolsot Bibimbap and it was done perfectly. Sizzling rice and all! The side dishes were plentiful and also very authentic. A friend who had never had Korean food before came with me and she thoroughly enjoyed the experience too. I look forward to returning and trying some more of my Korean favorites! I’m so grateful this place exists here in El Paso!

I think I’ve been to every Korean joint in El Paso, and this is my favorite, with Chun Ju a right second. Like any Korean restaurant, they start you with the banchan(tiny dishes), all of which are of excellent quality. Multiple types of kimchi, yam root, fish cake, etc. You don’t need to order food after that.. So far, I’ve tried Al Jigae(a fish roe soup), tofu soon(seafood and tofu soup), Ramen and ojing bokum(spicy sauteed octopus). Surprisingly, I’ve yet to try the meal I use as a measurement: bibimbap. Soon, though I’ll sure it’ll be as good as everything else there.

I went here based off of what 45 peoples reviews said, the rice with 2 to 3 days old the lettuce was old the kimbap was old the noodles horrid and horrible food was too salty the waitress never watched her hands and reeks of smoke and touch my pregnant wife and child my wife came home sick very horrible restaurant those last 45 reviews everybody needs to reevaluate where they came from and what they ate it was horrible do not eat at this restaurant, this is far from the best restaurant so I don’t know what all your peoples reviews are based off of or compared to other Korean restaurants there are many other Korean restaurants in the area way better than this restaurant horrible and horrible disgusting restaurant

This place is bomb. There’s so many side dishes, the Korean bbq beef is good, but the best dish was the mackeral!!! It was so savory with every bite we finished all of it and wanted more. You get 2 big pieces of fried fish with lemon to squeeze on top and it’s the perfect combination. So flavorful too! I would give it a 5 star but I feel like I’ve had better bulgogi. Also, the side dishes were good, but not all of them. I want to go back just for the fish and to try some other dishes like the bibimbap and yakimandu. Maybe I’ll change my rating after trying other dishes.

To say the least, this is by far the BEST Korean restaurant in El Paso!!! I have honestly tried every Korean restaurants in town and believe me when I say I KNOW all about the Korean cuisine. After eating out at relentless«so-called» Korean food El Paso have to offer, I gave up trying to search for a favorite Korean food spot. Until I was recommended by a friend to try out«Korean house» my tastebuds were instantly hooked! Many tasty fresh side dishes and not to mention the generous portion and the great inexpensive lunch specials are a plus! The owner personal walked over every customers and greeted everyone(including myself) with a very kind gesture. I love it here so much that I honestly have to admit my son and I come almost on a weekly basis. I’m typically not a big review critic of any sort however, I highly RECOMMEND to everyone! F. Y. Wow! A feast of flavors! Great beef bulgogi. 11 sides! From sweet cucumbers to spicy cabbage with bean sprouts, potatoes, tofu, dried sardines, zucchini, and more in between. The yaki mandu is homemade, fresh, and tasty. The dough is a little thicker than I prefer, but they were great. The sauce was excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. The lunch special is a bargain!

Alright. I am Korean. From Korea. I make Korean food. I decided a year ago that I would not waste any money on Korean food that I can outdo in my kitchen. So basically, I stopped trying to find my go-to Korean place in EP and started cooking. But this one popped up in the radar and I was curious. The pictures didn’t look too bad. Maybe I will try EP Korean food just one last time. I am glad I did. Now, this does NOT compare to Korean food in LA, NYC or even in Houston. Do yourself a favor and erase that expectation. You cant blame them. EP doesn’t get a lot of fresh Asian food ingredients. The vegetable section in Arirang Market here is like 1⁄40 size of local market in Houston. Moreover, lack of competition makes restaurants quite content w their regular customers and less likely to revamp their recipes. That being said: this place is decent yet great in EP scene. Most Korean food places are not cheap. This one is priced at average Korean restaurant price(12 – 15 per person; but with all the side dishes… You are going to be sooo full). The food didn’t taste like it was full of MSG, which a lot of Asian places are known for. They owner is super chirpy and nice. She made sure we were fed well. We had fish egg soup(tasty broth, lacked Asian veg and the variety of fish eggs, but again I dont blame them. Its EP) and Kalbi(but its hard to mess that up). One bad thing about this place is that they dont have bbq stations. So you cant cook your own meat but that doesnt bother me much. Bc those places jack up the prices for the«experience» anyways. Do yourself another favor. Just buy pork belly from any grocery store and get ssamjang from korean market and grill on your bbq pit and make a lettuce wrap w rice. Done. I think we played safe with our choices but I am totally coming back to try more dishes. And that means A LOT! Four stars for making me reconsider eating at Korean restaurants in EP again. Good work, Korea House.

Very impressed with this Korean Restaurant! Felt very welcomed and homey at the place. The food is fresh and tastes authentic! Many other Korean restaurants that I’ve been too are either way too over priced or food is just okay. I recommend this place to any Korean food lovers!
