I stopped in here while I was in town and loved it! The staff was VERY friendly, professional, and helpful. The food comes quick and was delicious. I would recommend the salsa queso for sure.

The food is so delicious but the waitresses have horrible attitudes like if they hate their job or something. Some girl named Esmeralda served our teas with a lot of ice when I told her to take them back she comes with our«iced teas» without any ice like really what’s the point of ordering ice tea without any ice. The She needs to be fired.

Don’t know where to start with the review. The atmosphere was nice and the customer service was very good. The food was flavorless but the portions are too small for the price. I understand that beef is expensive right now but they overload everything with potatoes to maximize profit and, it makes their food flavorless. Even the beans and rice that is not expensive they sever you very little. The lemonade is horrible it taste like water and sugar. Again they do the bare minimum so they can maximize profit and serve flavorless items. I’m sorry but I will never return and I will warn all my friends and family to stay away. In case u are wondering why 2 stars. I gave them 2 stars because of the young lady that was our server. She was very friendly!

One of my favorite Saturday morning breakfast buffets in town. The pancakes and French toast they make upon request are awesome! The menudo is great and the hash browns are nicely done!

Superb flautas. This is Mexican food — refined and elevated to a new level. Prices are very reasonable. Great décor. This is my new fave!

I really wish I’d taken a picture. I just ate too fast. I’m a very critical person, and I was impressed. Service was great, fast and friendly as it should be. Variety of salsas and chips. Chile rellenos are average most places. I’d call these extra large. A home made tortilla and great beans, a small salad and rice. Barely over $ 9 including tax. Great flavor. Definitely coming back. Ps. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, is because: A. I’m critical B. I’d like to see more on the menu. A burrito in these fantastic tortillas would be amazing. C. I’m critical ;)

Used to love this place. I don’t know what happened to it :( Food is mediocre. Service is poor. I wish they would go back to the great restaurant they once were.

Pero que… le paso… a ELPARQUE!!! To all of my non spanish speaking peeps out there let me translate that for you guys. What…happened…to ELPARQUE!!! I had been coming here almost since it opened. Me and my girl would come and enjoy happy hour, have a drink and just chat for hours. When they started their breakfast on the weekends we were here almost every sunday, we loved their chilaquiles and their different«guisados» that they would make. Their aguas frescas tasted like the kind i would get at El Borunda park in Juarez, flavorful and plentiful, served in super large glasses and filled with ice to fight off a hot summer morning. Let’s not start on their menudo, the only one better is from my mom. Where did it all go? Why is their menudo now burnt and overcooked? Their agua de limon replaced with minute maid lemonade… a real shot to the heart for this little frijol. The guisados are now just some cream based sauce with potato and some sort of beef too chewy to eat properly. The regulars are still here fortunately, the chilaquiles are still as good as ever, and your bacon is still nicely cut crunchy pieces of heaven. But… you were my 5 star restaurant El parque… now…now your just some restaurant where i used to go.

I came for the brunch buffet a few Sundays ago with some friends. Multiple plates on the line were dirty, crusted with food. When I found a clean one, the food was mediocre and lukewarm. The chilaquiles were overspiced. Also, very few veg options.

We go for the breakfast buffet and it’s absolutely worth the price! Unlimited orange juice and coffee are included in the breakfast. Service is great and there is a variety of good Mexican food. Definitely recommend :-)

Very friendly staff. I ordered the flautas Nortenas and was very disappointed. Flautas were burned and the beans tasted burned as well. The menu said the flautas were accompanied with an avocado sauce and was never served. My husband ordered the chicken fajitas and very little chicken was served. We actually came to eat here because the restaurant was reviewed in the local paper. Definitely not driving from the westside to eat here.

We went here with my in-laws because there is something for everyone on the menu. I got the potato flautas nortenas, hubby got chile relleno plate and his parents always order the surf-turf and enchiladas. We will continue going back.

Tried this passing thru on our way home … Got the gorditos and flautas both were great. Ordered caso didn’t have a lot of flavor so I would not order again but really enjoyed their green salsa.

Where do I start? When we walked in, my mom and I were greeted by three young ladies, who at the same time welcomed us and asked«how many». We said 2, but only 1 of them caught it and sat us. I think I’ve been watching a little too much Restaurant Impossible because my eyes began to wander about at all their décor. True to the name, it’s like you’re in a small park, well with all the faux trees and vines. However, if you’re allergic to dust, beware. These faux plants are all dusty. :( But I digress, we were there for lunch. Our waitress brought us a basket of tostadas and filled a small metal tree with various votive holders with salsas they make. I favored a couple, 1 was too sweet for me and the other too tangy, but that’s just my personal taste buds. Either way, it was good. :) She also takes our drink orders. I ask for limonada, but of course, my luck, they only carry fountain lemonade, but score! they do have agua de Jamaica, sold! Our waitress takes our order. My mom requested a Mexican plate and I the flautas from our waitress that at this point made it seem as though she knew not a word of English through this whole process. Fine, I like to practice. :) Finally, and within a reasonable amount of time, we get our plates. HOWEVER, the waitress gives me my flautas, then as she’s handing my mom her plate says, «y tampiqueña», to which my mom quickly answers, «I didn’t order that. I got the Mexican plate». The waitress then tries to convince my mom that it now was the Mexican plate she ordered. Ummm, no. I them chime in and ask her to bring a menu, but she doesn’t as she’s still quite convinced it’s the correct plate. So finally, my mom dictates to her what the menu said(because apparently this waitress doesn’t think it’s important to know what her employer has on the menu and obviously hasn’t made any attempts to learn the menu). So she takes the plate… and guess what?! It in fact was NOT my mom’s plate! Duh. It was however the tampiqueña plate of the lady sitting behind me. Waitress comes back with the correct plate and says«I’m sorry, the kitchen handed me the wrong plate». Ummm, that error could have been avoided if you were familiar with what you had on the menu… just sayin’. We thanked her and ate. Not bad food. :) The service went to hell in a hand basket from there. All of a sudden we apparently developed the plague because our waitress would only check on us if we made it obvious we needed a drink refill or she saw us looking around for her. When she did the customary«How is everything» trip, it was from about a couple tables away… which I thought was odd, but whatever. So to sum up my review: I gave them 3 stars because the food was pretty good and the plate portions were generous… if this was merely based on service… well, I think it might have been a 2 — maybe 1 ½— she was sweet, but did not have any familiarity with the menu.

Great service! But… the food and drink… just wasn’t that good. Let me keep it short. The«margarita» I was served was made with Irish wild rose(aka bum wine). The tortilla was dry like it had been in a heater since lunch. Relleno was so-so. The salad looked like a pile of lettuce on the side. I will say the server, Arturo, that took care of me was great and was very helpful.

Very disappointed in this place. My wife had gone with family and raved about it but this second visit was very disappointing. The service was sub par to poor. We had to ask for refills on our drinks and ask to have plates taken away when we were done. To be fair, we did have a large group of about 10 but, with the 15% tip already included, we’d expect to have a waitress devoted to the table. The food was okay. I was craving some nachos but when the plate arrived it was a mess of a meal and some of the tortilla chips were burnt… don’t know what that was about but the chile rellenols were pretty good. I think the nail that sealed the coffin on me not returning is the bathroom. Usually you can tell how clean and prepared a restaurant is by the cleanliness of the bathroom. This one was horrid with water stained walls, mold growing in the corner, and NOPAPERTOWELS! Makes you think, how well do the employees wash their hands… hmmmm, I won’t be returning.

This was my first visit to El Parque and I was surprised at how good the service and the food were. I appreciated the fact that even though the staff is Mexican, they greeted us in English and did not immediately assumed we spoke Spanish. The restaurant is not too big but we sat comfortably without feeling crammed among tables. Our waitress was kind and informative about the menu and portion sizes; I got the flautas nortenas plate and they were very generously served with Mexican rice and beans, which are my quality gauge for Mexican places. The flautas were nice and hot stuffed with a good amount of shredded beef. My partner got the nachos(appetizer) and they were heaped with lettuce, tomato, guacamole, cream and beef. Absolutely delish. The only two cons I had for this place were: 1. A waitress decided to start sweeping the area behind us, and she did not stop to think that whatever dust she was throwing into the air could land on our food. 2. When paying, our waitress accidentally charged us a different order, and voided the payment. I hope this doesn’t affect my partner because he banks in Mexico, and over there transactions sometimes go through even if they are cancelled.

Beautiful restaurant. Great tacos. Great service. And cheap! Any Mexican restaurant that sells French fries as a side is a winner in my book! I will definitely be returning!
