I use to love this burrito place, especially on the west side! But now I’m not so sure. I use to go religiously everyday before work and never had a complaint. The food was always hot, fresh, and satisfying!!! Unfortunately, now not so much :( The prices have raised but the quality has seemed to go down. Where you use to could pay maybe two dollars and change for a burrito it seems like the price has almost doubled. The burritos are still the same and the taste seems to be a draw. Sometimes it’s delicious other times it’s bland. I’ll probably just stick to the west side location even though they raised their prices too. But flavor is always consistent so I don’t mind!!!

Best burritos in town hands down! I’ve been eating Crisostomo burritos since i was in elementary back in Juarez, so seeing them do the transition to El Paso was both great and a bit scary. I was afraid they would lose their home made tortillas and super friendly staff. Fortunately for me that wasn’t the case, with great«guisados» to pick from for your burrito filling, even vegetarian friendly options are available! If you want a bit of taste of Juarez style burritos i would highly recommend you check this place out!

I had wanted to check this place out for some time. Finally went and was dissapointed. The place was empty, the food seemed to have sat there for while, and not very fresh. Plus my shrimp cocktail came with no crackers or limes. I will not be back. Forgot to mention that they never served my son his quesadilla that I ordered then gave me one that was incoorect.

One of my favorite fast food joints! The people are friendly and they are pretty quick getting the food out. Great burritos and quesadillas. On any given day I’ll order a Bistec burrito, Desebrada burrito both with or without beans or a plain quesadilla. If I’m really hungry I get the Desebrada quesadilla, it definitely fills you up! The only shortcomings, I am a huge fan of horchata but not the one they serve here. It’s different than most that I’ve had. I think they use a powder mixture(which I’m sure a lot of restaurants do) but every time I’ve had it here, there is so much powder residue floating around in it. Also there’s powder left in my mouth after each sip. I wonder if they just add too much or if it’s a special Crisostomo recipe? I’ve tried it at different locations to verify and indeed they are all the same. I get their lemonade instead now. Also, they do charge you fifty cents to use any card as payment.

Horrible burritos. Tortillas were super thin and falling apart… and filling had absolutely no flavor

Be prepared to know Spanish. They call out your order in Spanish so if you don’t know Spanish I would stay close to the pick up counter. They have a very mediocre salsa bar with limited options. The burritos are a little less than stellar, and a little pricey. It costs $ 1.00 extra for cheese(only meunster). The tortillas are a little gritty and leave a flour dust on anything you touch. It is very very hot in the dining area, I assume they have no a/c. They do have a very friendly cashier on the other hand. The building it’s self has 2 other«restaurants» inside; «Mac’s place”-a seafood alternative, and«El taco del oro”-tacos and tortas. They do not offer a military discount but they do offer free refills for service members. We got the horchata but it was mediocre as well and a bit gritty too. I’m giving them 3 stars solely on the friendliness of the cashier. Over all it’s meh, not terrible but not great.

For the price you can’t beat the taste. Originated in Juarez, this locale has a fair selection of burritos for breakfast and lunch. They now accept credit/debit cards for a small fee. The aguas frescas(eg. Horchata, Hibiscus) are very refreshing and made from natural ingredients. They also serve BBQ brisket burritos on weekends. I believe the location on the west side has a slightly better kitchen, but both have friendly staff and good eats.

Another great find on the road! Pick your meat, pick your style(burrito or quesadilla) and add ins if you want. Everything is fresh, tortillas are grilled warm and just the slightest bit toasty. I had the deshabrada burrito, stewed brisket with Anaheim chilis, tomatoes and potatoes. Excellent. Greg had the papas burrito — potatoes, beans and cheese. We love small portions and this fits the bill. Get two if you’re super hungry, they’re cheap. They serve bottled water and canned soft drinks, they don’t have ice. It’s right next to the Fedex Kinkos so if you have some work to do coming through El Paso, this is the place to stop!

Crisostomo is the newest burrito joint in the eastside. I actually hadn’t heard of them before, but turns out they’ve had a westside location for a while. It kinda feels like this may be another Juarez transplant, but I can’t confirm. They offer a wide variety of fillings, though they are pretty much the same ones you find at most burrito places in town. I liked the chicharron, tastes a little better than the one at La Gorda, but their Lengua wasn’t very good. I’m looking forward to trying out the BBQ Brisket burrito, but apparently its served only on weekends. The burritos are made with freshly made tortillas, which is always a plus! One thing that you can appreciate is the size of the location, there’s plenty of sitting room to handle busy lunch hours. They also have a drive thru. WARNING: Cash Only.
