First time choosing Peters for dinner. Bratwurst was tasty with cabbage and onions. My husband tried the curry wurst with potato salad. Everything tasted good. It is not your upscale trendy restaurant. Good food. Very good prices. Good customer service. Definitely will visit again.

First off, I loved the environment and décor when we walked in. It was good to hear Christmas carols not in English for some reason. Order a #2(brat on bun) and potato salad. Delicious. Great flavor. The sauerkraut and grilled onions were a nice compliment and the mustard varieties were pleasant. Potato salad was good. Éclair was delicious. I have nothing bad to say about the place. I’d like to take a full party there with the BYOB and see how it plays out. Nice vibe. Will return.

Saw that Peter’s had lunch specials. I had been there a few times, but it had been at least a couple of months since my last visit. I had the schnitzel sandwich. It was an exceptional pork cutlet cooked perfectly. I usually get the excellent bratz sandwich or dinner, but need to start getting the schnitzel. Peter is a nice guy, service has always been good, and it’s nice to do business with a small-business owner. We also need to go to one of the times he is at a wine-tasting.

Great authentic German food. The food reminded me of my time stationed in Frankfurt, Germany.

Driving through El Paso and found this jewel on Unilocal.Love the food. A sandwich shop and bakery you order at counter so if you are looking for a restaurant you will miss out on this. I got a bratwurst with potato salad. It was awesome. Can’t confess to the pastries we got. I’ll just say they were amazing. Thanks.

Wonderful, just tried the schnitzel and brat combo. Schnitzel was perfect, crunchy out and tender juicey in. Brat was spot on. Had take out but dining area very clean. Potato salad is as good as any I’ve ever had. The people running restaurant seemed to appreciate patronage. Looking forward to going back to try all the desserts. He’s the old Lomart baker if any one remembers the much missed grocery store. So good!

I went here with my family and was entranced by the smell of freshly baked bread. I ordered the schnitzel plate w/gravy and potato salad. It was super delish! They have authentic German weiners and the brat was awesome! I try to stay away from bread, but I don’t think I can stay away from theirs! I can’t wait to go back.

Bought a loaf of bauern brot and was told it was made the night before, wasn’t fresh and not only that it had a sticker over a sticker. Something not right, will just drive extra miles to get a loaf from Marinas Bakery from now on. Peter

Peter’s has tasty bratwurst and plenty of condiments to put on the side. Also, I would definitely come here if you were craving some traditional desserts or pastries as there’s a wide selection.

Best and only place(as far as I know) that sell authentic schwarzwälder kirschtorte(Black Forest Cake) in El Paso! The other desserts are great too, would recommend to try first the torte and then the rest. So good I had an entire cake for my birthday!

We stopped by here on Monday, when so many other businesses were closed, either because that is just their schedule or due to President’s day. We ordered jagerschnitzel and brat on brochen. My husband and I are from up north, where German food and festivals are a part of life, so we were really eager to try everything. The beer mustard on the brat was amazing. The brochen roll was nice and soft, but had a wonderful flavor. The schnitzel was seasoned perfectly — not too salty or overpowering. We also got the cheese danish and macadamia cookies. The cookies were soft, and the Danish was very tasty. We can’t wait to come back. I don’t know why soneone would leave a bad review for a place based on the hours of operation, the day we came they were open until 8pm. It’s a small, individually owned place, I have no problems with how they choose to run their business.

Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing! I have been to Peter’s twice since I live nearby. During both visits the service was poor and staff not very friendly(dinner time). This was despite the fact that there were few to no customers present. I did enjoy the deserts during the first vist though. Yet, during the second visit, I was shocked seeing Peter leave his computer, serve me, and grab bread rolls with his unwashed bare hands. I spoke up about this and he did not apologize but appeared defensive. I ordered two Bratwurst which were semi-warm not hot. Also, both were taken from a warmer and not fresh from a grill. The potato salad was bland. I also tried a Pretzel and it did not taste fresh. Furthermore, it was spendy and cost me about $ 17.50 for this poor venture! This is unfortunate as I was anticipating a better experience! I am not originally from El Paso and am comparing this experience to others outside the area.

Good, authentic German food! A little small, with only a few tables, but a nice atmosphere. The owners were extremely friendly! We came in only a few minutes before closing, and when Peter asked if it was for here or to go, we asked if it would be a problem if we ate in, since it was so close to their closing time. He said it was no problem at all & we enjoyed our dinner there! I went with the currywurst(my favorite!) and my husband had the schnitzel w/lemon. Both were very good! It reminded us of our years living in Deutschland! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic locally owned German food and baked goods shop. The bratwurst is just the tip of the iceberg. Everything is amazing here and you’re greeted by name. I usually stop in at lunch when I only have a few minutes and never get to try any of the more intricate menu items. Don’t miss the potato salad!

Seriously? Open til 6:30 p.m. I find that to be an oddly strange closing time, giving one the impression Peter is serving an early dinner. Not. We arrived at 6:10 last night, to find Peter cleaning up the place. We walked up to the counter and inquired about his Wienerschnitzel. Peter’s response is that he was serving only the items numbered 1 – 3 on his menu(basically bratwurst only). He admonished us that he closes promptly at 6:30. Double checked our watches, he says nothing, and let’s us walk out of his empty restaurant without so much as a word. Germans tend to be very precise, and Peter is no exception. He wasn’t going to do or say anything that may require him to keep his doors from being locked at precisely 6:30 p.m. That means, not preparing or serving anything other than the brats left over from the lunch run after lunch. Peter, if you’re not going to welcome guests at 6:00 with a selection from your menu, then why don’t you just close your doors after your lunch rush? It doesn’t matter how good your food is IFYOUDON’T SELLITTOANYONE! Auf Wiedersehen, Peter.

Got a Groupon for this place. Great sandwiches and other items. Many other desserts and sweets. Not many tables but we ended up doing takeout. Peter is friendly and helpful. Hope Peter succeeds!

I stopped in today, and it was good. Had the bratwurst on a roll with potato salad. Was a little disappointed that the brat was not fresh off the grill but instead pulled from a warmer, same with the grilled onion. I also thought it was a little pricey; a single brat on a roll and a serving of potato salad served on a paper plate with a bottle of water for $ 9.35. Nevertheless, it was tasty; both the potato salad and the roll was fresh and delicious. The brat was good also, but would have been so much better fresh off the grill. Also drinks are served in a bottle or can, so no option for a complementary glass of water or beverage refills.

Stopped in today for a Bratwurstbrötchen(bratwurst on a roll) as Pastry Chef Café’s kitchen is closed for the holidays. Lots of options and sauces, great for a quick lunch or snack. Also had a good chocolate croissant and the black forest cake here was great. Recommend the chili sauce and sauerkraut on the Bratwurstbrötchen if you like spicy, or the ale mustard and grilled onions if you prefer sweet.

Little place, but great authentic German food. I had the currywurst and that was delicious. Place also seems to be a bakery. They gave us samples and they were very good! This is a refreshing change from all the Mexican restaurants here in El Paso. We will definately be back.
