I wish the owners would adopt me! Love the food reminds me of home. The owners are so polite I’ve been coming here for a while never had a bad experience! Definitely try the green chili chicken enchiladas, and the tacos, they also make awesome sopes!

Delicious food, friendly owner and staff. We were told to arrive early because they get packed. I had the green chiliquilles with eggs over medium — cooked to perfection, flavorful with the chips still nice and crunchy. It came with beans and rice. Both were very good. I can’t wait to try their tamales! I wonder if they make a chili relleno? It’s a little place but we stayed to enjoy our meal and to chat. When we left — the place was full!

Came here for lunch, we didn’t dine in, but we ordered to go ! We ordered couple of pastor and asada tortas, 1 lengua burrito and 3 asada burritos. Burritos has a lot of flavor. Pretty good size burrito for the price you pay. Really enjoyed the green and red sauce !! The red sauce has a good heat to it for you spicy lovers. Burritos and tortas were not oily at all which is my biggest pet peeve. People think the greaser the better, NO! Great tasting burrito. He lengua was very good, wasn’t too big of a fan of their asada, pretty basic tasting, little on the tough side than soft and chewy. Overall pretty decent lunch.

This little Mexican restaurant is tucked in between all of the stores and other restaurants within«Valley Mall» outlets. Caught my eye because they pambazos and I had been craving one forever! If it wasn’t for their sign on the window I would have passed right by it. Parking is horrendous, but that’s everywhere at Valley Mall. Unless you get lucky, you’ll be walking to wherever you were going to. Décor is out of date, and there are only a few tables. There is only one waitress and she’s not very friendly. I had some questions about some items on the menu(I’m not entirely familiar with much of the Mexican cuisine) and she seemed annoyed by my questions. I ended up getting the pambazo, and my beau got a Huarache. My pambazo was HUGE. But his Huarache was not. So I don’t know if portions are generous or skimpy based on our meal, but the food was just average to me. I would definitely like to try something else as they do have a lot of out of the ordinary options that you don’t typically see at a Mexican restaurant, but next time I’d do takeout. All in all, service could have been a lot better, and the food didn’t have any wow factor, but I’d return to try something else.

This place has great food and friendly service. I have placed orders for delivery and pick up both. Graciela is amazing and I truly enjoy her homemade recipes. True authentic Mexican food.

This little joint is a few buildings down from where I work. I come here maybe 2 – 3 times a week. Dona Chela’s food is amazing. The huaraches are so good. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s asked me if there’s any good food near by. There’s a bit of a wait since the food is fresh. So if you’re taking it to go I’d order ahead. Especially because the place is so tiny, Maybe seats like 20 people.

The food is delicious. I had the green chilaquiles– almost as good as my mom’s chilaquiles. The place looks run down and only has 6 tables. It feels cozy and the staff is attentive. If I am ever in the area again, I will consider coming back.

Small little place, have to really look out for the place, as it doesn’t stand out. Delicious food though, personal favorite are the pambazos!

Love this place! it’s a little small hole in the wall type place with great food and great service. They serve up no-frills authentic Mexican food, no American cheese here! And everything I have tried is delicious. I usually get the Asada huaraches & tacos, and they definitely don’t skimp on the meat and toppings, plenty of queso fresco & sour cream. Soo good! They also have great tortas & enchiladas. The lady who works the restaurant is super sweet & friendly after a few times of going with my boyfriend she always remembered us & even asked for me when he went alone!(How dare he I know!) service is usually quick, & be warned it gets tight in there as there are only about 7 – 8 small tables. Regardless I Definitely always stop by when I’m in the area & looking for a good taco.

This is a fantastic little shop! I don’t speak Spanish however the staff helped me through ordering some extremely delicious food. I still can’t tell you exactly what it was called. But it was a mild chorizo mixed with potatoes and added to onto a gigantic sandwich. It is a fantastic place for lunch if you ever find yourself in El Monte!

Parking: Tons of parking behind the restaurant. Service: Lady is always super nice and polite. Only one server since it’s a super duper small restaurant with only 8 tables at most. Food: When i first discovered this place a while back it was pretty good. There was nothing on their menu i didn’t like and i usually came for the mole. The mole although not the best i’ve had in my life was definitively by far the best mole you can buy at a restaurant. HOWEVER. As of lately the food quality is noticeably low. I can tell they get busier and busier as they have gotten a bit more popular and that has made a huge impact on their food. I guess the chef is rushed now and doesn’t really have all that much time to make tasty food any more. The food is not as bad as other mexican places. but it’s nothing compared to what it used to be. This once was a place i’d recommend to friends and family members. but not any more. Always remember to take online reviews with a grain of salt. Happy eating.

Brought my son to Ortho and after we came out, both of us were hungry so we stumbled upon this place. Restaurant is small and hot reason for 4 stars but the food is delicious. The chilaquiles verdes and tortas are great. Definitely coming back.

I stumbled on this place while on lunch break from jury duty at the El Monte courthouse. It was doing a pretty good business for a Monday lunch hour(always look for the busy places!), so I gave it a whirl. I didn’t know what a huarache was, so I stayed safe with the torta milanesa. Yum. Huge(big enough for two people with normal appetites). I’m giving it 3 stars for now, but that is conservative, i could have gone to 4. I think I’ll give the huarache a try next time. 1÷26÷2011 Went back and tried the huarache(lengua) and an asada taco. Both very good. This hole in the wall is 2 for 2.
