So i spoke to acording to him the owner victor. Big headed egostisct pos ive met in my life! Ive been going there for years before i was deployed. i come home getting back to normal life and keep taps on what makes me feel like home so i call him to order food the order seemed right from the bag. I cant really check it since i have a new born crying. I get home and its wrong so i call him, instead of him trying to accommodate he blames his staff then hes like well if u want it come pick it up. Wtf? Im mad ofcourse and instead of him appologizing in any way he just! hangs up on me. I show up and hes telling me to never talk to him like that again and ofcourse im like wtf i can rip u a new one if i needed to! This place is a pos dont waste your time or money places with service like this eventually go down! … so i called him back to tell him how i felt and he decided to call me a pussy and didnt give a shit what i did for this country. Then he challanged me to come down for an ass beating. If be only knew! What a low life

Really good chilaquiles. Agua frescas are sweet n refreshing. The service is good. Hole in the wall that you can’t go wrong with. If you want authentic this is it. Definitely home style Mexican food.

Great, authentic and inexpensive! Much better than the place across the street! Not the cleanest or nicest looking, but the food taste great. The Assad has an excellent, well seasoned flavor. They also have the most interesting aguas frescas, like horchata with banana or guava

One day I was shopping at Valley mall for scrubs and decided to stop here after reading Unilocal.Decided to try the mole and it was good. Not a fancy restaurant at all and it is much like a whole in a wall. I was kind of hesitant but I enjoyed it very much. The horchata they have they put banana in it. My mom said it tastes really good. I couldn’t drink it because I’m allergic to bananas. My mom had a chile relleno and she said it was good too. Rice and beans were good to. The portion size they give is just right too.

In love with this little gem! Im a pastor taco junkie so my standars are high. This place meets them. The pastor here is seasoned to perfection with some kind of magical rub and best of all its not greasy. The respado looked great and really refreshing. The staff there are friendly and even hooked me up with a free side of rice. Cant wait to come back and try more items.

First and last time I’m coming here. It’s an okay hole in the wall for Mexican food. I was craving Menudo so I came here to try it out and was very disappointed. ¾ of it was full of broth and sadly had a few bits of meat. After finishing it, I was still hungry so I ordered a sope which was a disappointment as well. It fell apart as I tried to get a bite out if it. This place is overly priced for small portions of food. Not the best quality Mexican food. However, service was good.

Place makes huaraches which I love but the prob is this place is dirty. I don’t mind a hole in the wall joint but if there are flies in the restaurant and flies in the case where the agua frescas are kept that is not sanitary.

************************* THEREALMEXICANFOOD ******************************** Taqueria Azteca is a Mexican fast food chain that serve large selection Authentic Mexican Food. They stand out for service Huaraches and Raspados, which is rare to find in most locations. [DECOR] 4⁄5 Interior is a bit like wall in hole restaurant, very simple. Menu is all in Spanish ! The tablet was still a bit dirty after the staff just clean it, it got a TV showing Spanish channel. There were interesting Aztec pictureframe in the wall. [FOOD] 4.5÷5 Lengua(Beef Tongue) Huaraches $ 3.99 This my first time tasting this authentic food. The mesa base was very interesting and delicious, much better than plain old tortilla, there’s reason why many taco shop don’t offer this, because it require to cook the base not from pre package. The beef tongue was about right,. I do like the queso fresco cheese. maybe could be feta cheese. [SERVICE] 4.25÷5 The staff know English which was very helpful especially the menu was only in Spanish. Food came out pretty quick about five minutes. [VALUE] 4.5÷5 Since very few restaurant in L.A. serve Huaraches, make this good value, price was fair for $ 4, it was basically 2 tacos portion size, but far better than Tacos. TIPS * They got location in other area * Bring someone who speak Spanish. * They got no website. but here is their menu. * Located in El Monte Valley Mall. * Parking is free in the street or in the mall lot. MYTWOCERTS If you want to try Huaraches, this is no brainier. I might try the Raspados next time, this place offer same food that most Mexican eat Mexican city, from the street to most restaurant. So what we don’t see more of this from food in here?

Places to eat mexican food are everywhere, but let me tell you something, i am mexican, particulary form Mexico City and these guys have the BEST mexican antojitos i ever tried in LA county. They have something called Huarache, the name ‘Huaraches’ comes from the mexican sandal … It has a fried masa base, which is then topped with green or red sauce, onions, potato, cilantro and your choice of meat(carne asada, adobo, lengua=beef tongue), and then finished with queso cheese. i been coming to these place probably for about 10 years and the quality and flavor its always the same, GREAT! Best place to eat huaraches !!!

If your looking for the best Huaraches and Pambasos… Then your in the right place. Not to mention the agua frescas they carry. You will not be disappointed with the variety of food they have. For the price I would have to say is one of the best places to take you family and enjoy fresh food. If your in the area go and try a huarache and or a pambaso! You will not be disappointed…

Been going to this place since it was just a closet sized hole-in-the-wall back in the 90’s. The food was great then and it’s even better now. Everything is freshly made to order and delicious. Some of my favorites have to be the sopes, tacos, huaraches and pambazos. That’s right pamabazos, if you don’t know now you know. Their pambazos are the business and so is everything else, they’ve got fresh juices, fruit salads, and desserts. I can’t say enough about them, they are a family business and are great to talk to. .. service is great.

Where to begin? This place will satisfy and impress with great consistent food and it is truly authentic with regional Mexico City or «DF» dishes I’ve personally never tasted before. The flan was excellent, I can’t say I’ve ever had better flan. The gentleman at the counter let me know that the owner exclusively makes it and at that moment I had to have it. Great varieties too from chocolate to coconut! Definately check this place out!

I been eating here for many years. The consistency and quality of the food is great. Tortas, tacos, burritos but the pambazos and huaraches(my favorites). The pambazos and huaraches not many Mexican restaurants have it on their menu and from my personal perspective is one of the few places that have it on the menu and make right, not an imitation like other places .The huaraches of suadero are my first option and I recommend it to try it. Also if you are watching your diet or u have a sweet toot try the licuados(shakes) the mamey, it is delicious, not to mention thefruit saladsand fresh fruit drinks(natural not fake) This place is like if you travel to México city, but you are inEl Monte, CA.

This place is probably one of thee best family own restaurant I’ve been too. I tried every single type of taco, and they were all delicious. The carne asada meet is flavorful and juicy, i prefer it over King Tacos! And their frescas are absolutely amazing. They will personalize any drink you’d like(if they can) haha. But overall, a place to definitely check out, also because there is a handsome guy with glasses that works there… :x

Azteca offers decent-to-pretty good Mexican food. My favorite is the carne asada tacos – flavorful meat, fresh cilantro, and nice, soft corn tortillas. A few of my co-workers swear by the chicken dishes and the pombazos. The real treats, though, are the aguas frescas(love the pineapple-melon), the smoothies and the pico de gallo. They’ll do any combo of fruits and vegetables you like, and the fruit is always very fresh and flavorful. A couple of tacos and a big bowl of cool pico de gallo make a perfect lunch in summer. Prices are quite reasonable. The only real problem with Azteca is the sporadic hours. They seem to close on random days, so I keep my fingers crossed when I head over for lunch.
