Runway Boutique

Was very dissapointed in the customer service. We got zero assistance. The ladies were very helpful to the other patrons but not to us! Rude and will make sure i let my co-​workers and friends know not to go to this place!

I probably would have rated this boutique a 3 or 4 star, but I have just had a very very bad experience that leaves me feeling uncared for as a customer. I have purchase 4 special occasion dresses here. They never have very nice dresses for sale, so all were full priced. Nice dresses, and the buying experience was fine. This last experience was absolutely horrible.
I shopped last minute for a Christmas party. I found my dress within a few minutes of looking and tried it on. I told the manager, Terry, I was in a big rush. When I exited the dressing room, my husband was waiting (we were on our way to a company Christmas party). She restarted the computer and I really felt like I was waiting way too long to pay (credit card in hand and ready to get out of there!). It took me longer to pay than it took me to find the dress! She stared off into space for a bit as the login window on the computer came up. She finally noticed it was there and logged in. I mentioned to the other sales person that I was in a rush and she started writing up the sale herself (at least she cared to be more helpful). Terry had her stop as the computer slowly came back up. STRIKE ONE.
When I got home, I put the dress on and my husband noticed a small tear in the back, under the zipper (you could see my underwear!) Mortified, I took the dress off and found something (not ideal) in my closet to wear to this important company event. STRIKE TWO!
The very next morning, I brought the dress back and was told NO REFUNDS, EVEN FOR A DAMAGED ITEM THAT THEY SOLD. I just spoke to Terry in person and she was very unapologetic and unhelpful. She won’t even allow me to contact the owner about this. STRIKE THREE, YOU’RE OUT!
If you are the owner, reading this… El Dorado Hills is a small town and we do our best to support local businesses. You should at least show honor in your return policy to take back DAMAGED GOODS SOLD in your store and refund your patrons.
Sure, I’ll get store credit, or I can take that same dress back (they’ll sew it up).but the event has passed and that’s not really the point. Bad business. Smh

WOW! I am obsessed with Runway… and I just visited their new store Button Up.. The store is so pretty and the staff is amazing! Both locations are a one stop shop! They have the best selection of denim and dresses. I am a huge fan of the designer Susana Monaco and it’s hard to find in our area. I was thrilled to see that Runway is carrying the line. My bestie Erica and I found some great digs. I can’t say enough good things about these stores and their amazing staff! They are so helpful! We will be back… often! =)

I am a local to the area and a lot of my friends have shopped at this store for their daughter’s prom dresses and clothes. They did have a wide selection; however the service was poor at best. I was asked what my budget was and looked down upon as if I wouldn’t be spending enough to even be in the store. Rest assured our budget is high enough to buy an extremely beautiful dress. I would not ever return to this store or suggest that any of my friends go there.

It’s hard to find clothes in Grass Valley but I always seem to find something at Runway, they have sexy clothes and really cute heels and affordable prices!

I have been shopping at Runway since I first moved to this area three years ago, even driving all the way from Sacramento for an afternoon shopping trip at least once a month before I moved to Folsom. Robin, the owner, as well as all of her wonderful employees, are never less than incredibly warm and welcoming. I am a frequent customer and I love to browse, and even if I don’t always make a purchase, I never feel uncomfortable or pushed by the salespeople. Runway stocks some of my tried and true favorite brands including LA Made, Michael Stars, Velvet, Splendid, and Free People, clothing I have had trouble finding in this area since moving from Seattle. But, thanks to the help of the Runway fashion experts, I have also learned to embrace brands such as Hale Bob, Soul Revival and Nation. Some of my favorite weekend wear items are from Runway, and many of my favorite pairs of jeans. All of the brands they carry are high quality and do not show wear even after several years of frequent wear and tear. Additionally, Runway has excellent seasonal sales. One of my favorite dresses, a staple for work, was only $ 20 on one of their sidewalk sales. Runway is my favorite local boutique, followed by their sister store located in Folsom’s Palladio shopping center, Button Up. I always prefer to shop locally, especially when the store in turn contributes to local businesses and non-​profits. I am a teacher at an independent, non-​profit school and Robin has always generously donated to our annual auction. For the customer service, the amazing clothes and the philanthropic nature of the owner, I consider myself a loyal Runway shopper!

Was back in the area and decided to check out what was new. Lots of new brands and tons of really cute items. I got a great outfit for my trip to Costa Rica and the Michael Stars hat was even on sale. The staff really went the extra mile to find the right outfit.
Thanks Runway, I’ll be back…

Runway is my go to place for dresses! i just got my prom dress and i am in love with it. they don’t have 2 of the same dresses so you wont run into another girl with the same dress, which is great. one of a kind things and adorable clothes. although on the pricey side, i believe you do get quality style. amazing boutique with something for everyone. i recommend it to all my friends!

After my last review, I decided to broaden my denim world and tried on some cookie jeans. Nope, didn’t work out for me. Buying jeans can really be a super frustrating uphill battle with crutches. At least that’s how I feel on a «heavy» day.
Anyway, I did manage to find something I love the other day so I am upgrading the review to a 4 star. They have been carrying cuter things here. One of my new discoveries is «Language» from Los Angeles. It was irresistable and screamed «take me home now».
And usually my gf and I can find cute and unique items here.
They also get additional star because they carry Jeffery Campbell pumps and Bailey 44!

A women’s boutique with contemporary designs for the local hotties. Great place to find designer denim but the tops are way over priced. I could find a majority of their sports wear tops for a third of the price somewhere else. There wasn’t anything in here that stood out to me, nothing out of the ordinary. Lots of cute jewelry and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
