Low prices, big portions, delicious food, awesome and very friendly customer service, attentive and frequent table visits to see if we need refills and to make sure we’re good! We will Def visit, soon!

I had the Scramble, he had the Kielbasa omelette. We both had the Monterey potato cakes, then split the biscuits and gravy. Large portions — we could have shared easily. I definitely suggest the Monterey potato cakes, but know the Parmesan is the strongest flavor, so you must really like parm to enjoy these. Both of our egg dishes were good and perfectly cooked. The biscuits and gravy are bacon based with a hint of citrus. They didn’t appeal to us overly so, but our main dishes were well worth the trip. The place is old school in décor, but the seats were comfortable and the staff was attentive without being bothersome — a nice blend.

Best place in town for breakfast by far. The portions are large and the food is great. Servers Conchita and Ramon always give us premier service. We go everyone weekend and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. They always make us feel welcomed!

Conchita is amazing. We came in a little hung over and she took cake of us. This place is likes mom’s home cooking with out having to wash the dishes. Full of laughter and delicious food, and cooks with personality, I will be coming back

They just lost two stars today for me. My daughter, my son and I just tried to eat his this morning for my birthday. We expected it to be busy so once we checked in we settled in for what we expected to be a long wait. My son, who is autistic, can be a challenge when we go out so my daughter and I take turns following him around, trying to keep him out of trouble. While I was in one side of the restaurant blocking his access to the kitchen and counter, my daughter was blocking the other side of the place and the door. As my daughter was trying to bring him back to the bench we were sitting on, he decided to flop to the ground. As she was trying to pick him up, the guy in charge yelled at her. Despite the fact she was clearly trying and even told him as much he told her she needed to get him up and out of the way«right now»!!! My son was there for less than 30 secs. I bet if it was an old lady with limited mobility he would have been a lot more courteous. He probably assumed my son was just a brat and I was a neglectful parent. His excuse when I called to let him know why we left was that there was a waitress coming with food. Maybe next time just warn the waitress instead of making the 13 year old cry. This used to be our favorite breakfast place. Now that I know they are not able to tolerate my autistic son, we won’t be back.

So many good things to talk about. In a time when restaurants are making their portions smaller for the same price or more expensive, you can always rely on this place to fill you up good. If coming for breakfast, their omelettes and eggs benedict are worth a try. Or if you’re in for lunch then get one of their burgers(they’re huge). Another great thing — the food is always out super fast! Plus the restaurant has antiques all over the place(hence the name) and is really well designed and fun to eat in. Great place all around!

I really like this place, I love diners in general, but this one is fantastic! The service is awesome, our server was very attentive and sweet. The food is delicious, definitely a step above some diners and the coffee is great too. My husband got the Mega Burrito, which comes wet(with sauce over it) and with a fruit cup. It’s not the fruit cup I’ve come to expect, this one was fresh pineapple, perfectly ripe thinly sliced banana and cantaloupe, very good! I had the two eggs, cooked perfectly over medium, home fries(super good, especially with salsa) and some of the greatest sourdough toast I’ve had at a diner. We will absolutely be back!

I came in to this place in September with my daughter and her hubs. I ordered the Ruben sandwich that came with a side homemade applesauce. I really enjoyed it. I thought the bread was a bit over toasted but still delicious. My daughter ordered the french toast with fresh strawberries and cream cheese with whipped cream on top. That was also delicious. Her hubs ordered the All-American burger w/french fries. We enjoyed the food. Service was good. The place was in need of some attention to detail cleaning. This place has a lot of history in their knick-knack collection, it just collects a lot of dust. I am glad that I came to enjoy the whole experience.

I’ve lived in the El Cajon area my entire life, I’ve always passed by this place on numerous occasions and always thought nothing of it until this morning. I can’t believe that I’ve never given this place a try. We were seated immediately and our server, Lupe was so fast and friendly. Our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The portions are huge and go with the home style fries they were so good. I had the turkey croissant and they are so generous with the amount of meat they give you, not only my order but everyone’s order. I will more than likely be back soon!

Elvis Presley himself greets you when you walk through the door, complete with his guitar and a board with the daily specials on it. The décor here is part of the attraction, and the food is delicious. The service is fast and the staff is courteous. The owner, Steve, is a good guy who always greets you with a smile. My colleagues and I eat here on a semi regular to regular basis. We have been for years. I will continue to visit the ‘row for years to come, and I send my clients there if they will be in the area, or are headed in that direction. I always tell people good things and personally recommend for them to visit the establishment, because I know how good it is and want to encourage as many people as I can to become regulars, because one visit is all it takes. See you there!

The food was incredible. Used to go to the original restaurant when it first opened on Adams st. The food is still excellent, big portions. It took 9 minutes for our food(for 4 people) from the time we ordered(I timed it). I ordered the Monte Cristo, in the pic. Excellent!

Ok so first off I want to say what a cute place! From the outside it’s a little sketchy because of the neighborhood and makes you think twice about eating there hahah however super clean and awesome décor instead very cozy! The wait staff was awesome. Always filling coffee asking if you need anything and very polite. Our food came out quick and large portion. I had the California omlet and omg it was amazing! I had a side of home style potatoes and they were so good! The man had a new York steak and eggs. He barely touched the steak said it tasted weird. It didn’t look like it had any seasoning on it and half of the steak was well done and the other half was raw. We don’t know if they just microwaved it or if the grill calibration is off? However he liked the eggs and hash browns that came with it. We took the leftover steak home for the dogs and they couldn’t even keep it down do we just tossed it. Normally I would give lower stars for the steak however because of the wonderful service we had and my delicious breakfast it bumped it up.

Good olé down home cooking can be found here. This place has some killer biscuits and gravy or also known as the Lumberjack. Served up with either potatoes or hash browns and eggs. HUGE portions do not disappoint. If you stop by Monday through Friday between 6am-9am they have breakfast specials at some seriously good prices considering the amount of food that you get. I have been to the other location off Adams Ave.the.food here is the same. The décor has a retro feel. With an Elvis statue greeting you near the front door. The service is friendly. My coffee cup never seemed to be empty since someone stopped by to always make sure it was full. There seems to be a fairly regular customer base. As some people were being seated the staff was joking around to see if they needed a menu this time. I kinda liked that. A few tables and chairs are set up outside. It was a little brisk out this morning so no one was sitting there.

I stopped in for breakfast while my vehicle was getting service next door. For some reason or another, I was not in the mood for a meat product, so ordered the Popeye omelet for $ 9.50 which came with asparagus, avocado, spinach, and significantly loaded with with melted Jack cheese. Oh yes, you get a choice for your side hash browns, breakfast potatoes, or a potato cake with scallions and stuff with cheese. It was a no brain-er and I went for the potato cake( ). My first observation was that the omelet was huge and came loaded with all the ingredients, not to mention a lot of cheese and more cheese( ). It was a challenge to tackle, but I polished it off, given it tasted so good. The omelet was very well prepared and seasoned, and I could not get over how much cheese the omelet had( ). It was a good thing though. The potato cake was great and came with an excellent brown crunchy crust( ) It was well seasoned and the scallions added a nice peppery element. I the cheese inside melted very well throughout the cake and give it a creamy essence inside( ). The lady who served me was chipper and good spirits and provided pleasant yet humorous small talk. I had coffee, Boyd’s, with my meal and it was pretty good with a mild robust and good smoothness. If you love veggie omelets, this place is worth the try.
