It’s definitely a breakfast place. I haven’t been here in years and remember the old look. Right now they are remodeling the place and it’s looking modern. I’m a little disappointed in that they don’t greet you that well. I feel they need to work on that. I decided to get Swedish crapes. They were good but I didn’t enjoy the fruit. I will note not to get that next time. I did try some of the country gravy with biscuit and that was great. It was flavorful and the country potatoes were good. The country gravy tastes like it was made from scratch and that is hard to find in San Diego. Overall it’s a decent place to give a try.

What else do you need in a breakfast spot? The walls have awesome wall paper and the décor is great. Fitting for country waffle! Service is fine, always friendly and quick. Prices are good and decent menu variation. No complaints from me!

Had Bad experience ordered the JEB Burger truthfully it was Horrible Fries were cooked with old Frying Oil maybe they are only good for Breakfast don’t eat a Burger Here also although I didn’t dispute it .I was over charged. Waitress disengaged she was on Cell phone. When I asked for water She replied MORE! it was only one cup. Unfortunately Bad experience

I like this place and have been coming here for a few years. The only thing I don’t like is the very outdated dusty rose colors and fake flowers hanging everywhere. Other than that, the food is good

This is a total hole in the wall restaurant. You walk in and you’re not sure if you want to stay because it’s old and dirty looking, but the food is amazing! The country potatoes were the best I’ve ever had, full of flavor! The service was also great! Three different people came over to ask if we wanted drinks and everyone was super nice! I will definitely be coming back!

When I walked in here, I felt like I was walking back in time. This place has an antique feel to it that made me feel kind of uncomfortable for some reason. The place desperately needs a renovation and their colors do not work. (they are pink and green)
Another reason why this place cannot get higher than 3 stars, is because when me and my friend walked in, we stood by the man at the counter who was working the register for about 6 minutes. He then asked us «can I help you guys, have you been helped?» while he was the one that saw us walk through the door and stand in front of him and he said hello to us. After we told him that we are waiting to be seated, he said ok and walked away and we waited for another 2 – 3 minutes without knowing what was going on.
We then got seated and the waitress was very very nice (which keeps this higher than 2 stars) and the food came out in good timing and tasted very good (which is another reason for the 3-​star rating instead of 2)

My husband and I have been going here for a very long time now. The décor is very old fashion but it makes you feel like you are at grandamas house when you were 6 years old. I always order the same thing which is the eggs benedict because I am a huge fan of this dish. The hollandaise sauce is very tasty and the eggs are perfect along with the English muffin. The staff is always very friendly and the time from ordering to the time i get my food is vey fast. I will definitely continue to come here.

I was looking forward to breakfast here as the photos provide much view of some tasty choices. FROM THE GETGO… called upon two patries for the same table… late service to come retrieve the order… had to get up and retrieve requested ketchup… was forced to leave breakfast for the second time to ask for a second cup of water. A sorry was all that wad said… nothing to replace the unpleasant experience here. The only reason for the 2 stars is for the food that was delicious. The service seemed only to be at our table considering everyone else seemed to have been being treated quite well.

Very disappointed after reading the other reviews. Had to wait to sit even though there were empty tables and no one else was waiting. Almost left before we were seated.
Finally seated and the very nice older lady got us coffee and water. She was sweet. My coffee was almost warm almost cold. Hubby got fresh decaf that was great. Again almost left. Actually had my purse in hand and was getting up when they a nice young man came to take our order. He also took my coffee to get me some fresh brewed.
We both ordered the Bacon and Eggs breakfast. $ 9.95 you get 4 slices bacon 3 eggs potatoes toast or pancakes. We both got pancakes. The eggs were done perfect unfortunately that was about the only good thing. The bacon was so over cooked and hard we took it home to the dog. The potatoes we both got home style and mine wet not cooked all the way. Seasoned ok but thin slices and not cooked all the way. The pancakes were good.
I will not be going back.

When you want waffles like my hubby does and I want a bacon swiss burger … This is the place in our town! Nice friendly waitress, cool ac yummy meals and reasonably priced! Who could ask for a better menu with $ 6.99 weekday specials! Thank you, so much!

I will definately come again. Tried the steak and eggs, delicious ribeye cut, prfect amount of fat. Waffles are delicious, great taste of lingering batter with a buttery after flavor. The price was low for the great quality. Coffee was ok.

My wife and I really love Country Waffles. The food is good with the perfect sized portions. They have the tastiest Waffles that come out perfect every time! Also what really makes this restaurant stand out are its employees! Vanessa is the BEST! She takes great care of us every time. The decorations are older but that gives the place charm.
* For the person that gave a low tip because the prices were too high?! Other breakfast places are way higher and why punish your server because you don’t agree with the prices? I’m sure the prices are on the menu before you order so why are you surprised?

Went out on a «normal» Saturday at 11am, no wait.
Food options are mostly run of the mill breakfast, though I opted for the Cinnamon Roll French Toast plate. My husband got the combo special – three types of meat, 3 eggs, toast and hash brown for $ 8.50.
The potatoes have complete seasoning, which I like, and weren’t too greasy. I had my eggs scrambled and they were normal. The French toast I got was not the cinnamon ROLL style I expected (cinnamon spread and cream cheese) it’s the cinnamon roll style like a fried sugar-​glazed cinnamon roll. Though it was not what I expected, it was DELICIOUS!
The décor and serving trays are a bit outdated and beat up, overall the food is average diner food, the servers are nice and courteous. Nothing to write home about or go out of your way for, but good to eat breakfast.

I was out with my man and we decided to stop here for Sunday breakfast. The place was packed, but we still received stellar service by our server Dominic. I was pleasantly surprised by the change in service. I will definitely be back to eat here again for a nice Sunday breakfast. Thanks Dominic for being so good at your job! And thanks to the cooks for making good food fast. We didn’t wait more than ten minutes to be served our tasty meals. I am impressed given how crowded the place was.

Awesome local spot that is packed with regulars Sunday morning for breakfast. The line cn get pretty long as the there is not a tone of seating the whole restaurant os probably 1700 square feet. All in all it was a great breafest with a real country feel to the foods. If you are in the area you should check this spot out for breakfast.
