Was referred here by Metro(because they do not repair Electrolux) and I am super impressed. They are open on Saturdays til 3:00, great for us working folks! I have a Dyson now which I bought when my Electrolux Wand broke. I had had other parts fixed under warranty but fell victim to the Dyson marketing campaign. It’s an ok vacuum but nothing like my Electrolux. So after 2 or more years of dealing with the Dyson, I went and had my Electrolux wand repaired here. It Took about a week and a half and only cost $ 110! Plus they fixed the telescoping mechanism AND to original broken piece for one price. Additionally, I was educated by a very knowledgeable«Denny»! Now I know why I like the Electrolux better, because it is BETTER! As soon as I got home, I vacuumed the carpet and it hasn’t looked that clean in years! Thank you A Discount Vacuum! P. S. I prefer to patronize small businesses, if you do too, this place is FORYOU!

Bissell listed this place as a local service center, so I brought in a four-month-old low-end Bissell(bagless) vacuum bought at Wal-Mart(still under manufacturer’s warranty) to find out why it suddenly had problems. Denny quickly identified what was wrong — and why it could not be fixed. Apparently, this model has a(deliberate) design flaw that does not allow cleaning hair or anything else from the ends of the roller(so that it not only stops turning but actually starts to melt the plastic parts and can’t be repaired — and thus results in additional profit for both the manufacturer and retailer by requiring the purchase of yet another new vacuum). I was given credit for the broken vacuum as a trade-in and asked for recommendations for a replacement. Denny enthusiastically explained why vacuums with bags are better than those without and demonstrated the differences between different brands and models. I eventually chose one and was given a warranty with the option of full credit for what I paid if I later decided to trade up to a more expensive vacuum. If you have a vacuum with problems, are in need of one without any, or just desire to learn the differences between what’s available, consider giving this place a visit.
