Tasty food — nice selection of beers — the portions were decent, with a nice variety of seafood for just about any craving. We enjoyed mussels, calamari, oysters, shrimp — and some french fries to get into the spirit of the place. Only setback was the bloody mary because, as I’m now told, I ordered the wrong one. So we’ll see on the next visit. The service was prompt and polite — tho once we paid our check, we were invisible — even with a fairly empty section.

Great service good beer and amazing food! I can’t complain this place is awesome! Great music too. I come here whenever I can. Got cheese steaks and crab fries and both really delicious. I highly recommend

Horrible. Server doesn’t know the beers but it’s a «sports bar». Michelle(manager on duty) told me to write a Unilocal review so the management«above her» could«further and accurately address my problems»

It was fine. Super disappointed because I went in at 530 am for a preflight drink and they don’t serve alcohol til 7am. I understand this has to do with the state regulations but a sign would’ve been nice. I got the pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich. Kind of a let down. The pork was super burnt. Service was really slow. Didn’t even know where the waitress was the first ten minutes.

We love chickie and Petes!!! First thing we order are the famous crab fries! We usually go there before we take a flight out of town. About 10 minutes away from the Atlantic City airport.

I usually come here for sports and beers. Their food and service is okay, but isn’t a go to if you actually want to enjoy a good meal with good company. It’s more an after work grab a drink place or football Sundays

I usually love this place however it really wasn’t that busy and the waitress seemed to be having a tough time and I ordered chicken tenders and they gave me 3 very skimpy pieces of chicken for $ 7.50 def wasn’t worth it at all, mind you it does not come with a side or anything!

Everyone I know loves the crabby fries… I don’t. I usually go there for the mussels but last visit was aweful. They were tini tiny and shrivels up. Gross. So disappointing

I stopped in while on vacation for one thing only: crab fries. All my Philly friends have told me how good these fries are, so I had to try it as soon as I stumbled across this restaurant. Honestly, I was disappointed. The fries weren’t anything to write home about… Just fries seasoned with Old Bay. The cheese dipping sauce that they came with was bangin though! And the portion was very generous. Those two things alone give a fourth star to my rating.

We stopped here for a couple of orders of their crab fries to munch on while driving home from Atlantic City. It only took about ten minutes to get in and out of there. While we waited, we perused the pictures of famous people that lined the wall of the entrance. Looks like quite a popular place. :)

Wanted to love the place due to the great reputation of the chain. No such luck. Food was nothing more than standard, if that. Buffalo chicken cheese steak was small and not worth any positive comment. Chicken«cutlets» we’re tasty but had a big bone(what!?) and were clearly frozen fare. Crab fries were nothing more than tavern fries with a sprinkle of paprika… someone must have forgotten to apply the famous topping which would have made them at least a bit unusual. Beer taps were numerous but the selections were again standard-nothing amazing like all the bars in Philly have every day. The beer buyer must know a bit about craft beer, but not enough. Service was fine. Won’t go back-nothing to return for!

Ive been to chickie and petes a few times. The food is what youd expect from a sports bar. However they have an item called Crab Fries, apparently its considered ‘famous’ however far from being original. If youve never been here, and never heard of said«famous» crab fries you would think they would be fries with crab meat on them, and youd be wrong. Its simply fries douced in ‘old bay’(traditional crab seasoning) and served with a cheese sauce. So in reality you’d be ordering ‘Seasoned Fries with cheese sauce.’ If youre looking for a place to watch football on Saturday, or Sundays this place has enough TVs to watch whatever game you want.

This place is a decent sports bar/restaurant quasi-chain. I think it’s a notch above your full blown chains like Fridays or Applebee’s. The portions are generous and prices are fair. There are televisions everywhere and the servers are friendly. They always seem to have some sort of drink specials if you are into that.

We just finished a meal and Clickeys and Cheats lol. Once again lets take this from the top. 1) Pizza was good 2) Wings were good 3) Clams good Service as usual was super bad ! Again you cant blame kids and most of the service is really provided by kids, so you have hold management accountable. We were out of drinks thru most of the meal, then the meals came at such a disconnected distance so that everyone was eating at a different time. I think if you like TVs with sports, beer you wont notice the really bad service, if you want food and fun in a timely manner avoid this place ! We have given it three attempts to get it right(yes we are stupid) and three attempts are all bad !!!

Absolutely horrendous service at this location. I love chickies food and it was on par but we barely had a drink the whole dinner and had ordered wings. Pizza came out 20 mins after the rest of our food. Very annoying overall.

My expectations before eating at Chickie and Pete’s almost always exceed the actual food and experience. I really don’t like that appetizers and entrees are served at the same time, even though the waitresses explain the process. At the Chickie and Pete’s stand at Phillies baseball games, people wait in a long line to get their crab fries. In my opinion, they are over-rated. Anyone can sprinkle Old Bay seasoning over fries and add cheese dip. Besides, when the cheese starts to get cold, it gets really disgusting. I’ve also never had decent sized hard-shell crabs. They taste ok, but the crabs served are normally small, and therefore require too much cracking work for the little amount of meat. Also, when my picky but darling Mother-in-Law asks for warm bread with butter, don’t tell you don’t serve bread. Stick a hoagie roll in the oven for a few seconds, put it in a basket, and serve. It’s not that hard.

Chickie and Pete’s is a sports bar with the added bonus of a very good, not typical bar food, restaurant. What I mean by that is most people that give it a bad review seem to be complaining about the food and place settings. The food can be hit or miss, but I find most of it to be a hit. The mussels(which are plentiful) are really good. I also enjoy the pizza and crab fries. So for the dinning experience I’d say 3 ½ stars. But as a sports bar it’s top notch. Lots of TVs to watch your favorite game and this location now has one of the best beer selections in the area; 5 stars as a sports bar. Great place for a happy hour or to watch sports. Good dinning experience.

In the middle of a strip mall with tons of fast food and other options around it, C & P is part of a chain. I like the vibe of this sports bar. I come down from Boston to visit my brother and his family once or twice a year. This place is the go to place for the deuces of us to have a beer and have some brotherly talk. The fact this place isn’t too crowded is always a bonus for us. They have quite some many TV screens all around the bar strategically placed depending on the size of the screens. So chances are you will catch a game of your home town on while visiting the jersey shores. The line of brews is pretty good. I don’t find a sports bar in Boston with Carlsberg on tap very easily. Brownie points for that. Appetizers are good. Buffalo chicken wings. And those crab fries are supposed to be the big thing(there goes my plan to eat healthy while visiting family without any option to exercise). Oh well. You gotta live some eh! $ 2 for Yiengling light every night is a great deal. Since my brother is the D-driver — I have the option to indulge. But those fries filled me up. I am coming here everytime I visit my bro in EHT.

After we aborted lunch at the Rainforest Café(my son had a fit), we were hungry. We saw a sign for this place and decided to give it a whirl. We had dined here when it was Damon’s. The only time I have been in a Chickie and Pete’s was in Philadelphia long ago. We had a brand new waitress. She was friendly, but did knock my wife’s drink spilling quite a bit of it. We would have liked that refreshed. We received lots of food. Of course. we paid for this. The highlights were the nachos. Lots of peppers, plenty of chips and loads of guacamole. In addition, there were lots of olives for my wife. The crabby fries were fine. Far too many for us given the nachos, but fine. My wife had the crab cake sandwich. She was unimpressed. I had the pork sandwich. It was loaded. It was fine for what it was; it would have not cut in Philly, but it was an okay change of pace. Lots of televisions showing sports. Lunch was okay, but I doubt we’ll seek coming back again.
