Hungover after my best friends wedding. Ferry was leaving in an hour. Needed a substantial brunch and coffee stat. I quickly opened Unilocal while waiting at a stop sign and this place was ½ a block away so we pulled in. We had thought about take-out since we were crunched for time but since it looked rather slow I asked the guy at the front counter if he thought we could sit down and eat in half-hour and he said sure we can make it work. And they absolutely did. The menu is simple with classic brunch options and that fresh island twist everyone is looking for. Once we ordered, coffee was instantly and the waiter even brought the check while we waited for our food so we could pay ahead of time. The food came out in no time, which left us plenty of time to actually enjoy it. I ordered the Vineyard Benedict, which has lobster on what seemed like homemade muffins. So great! The side of home fries were also a surprise because it had a mix of white and sweet potatoes. Don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu here. Obviously the star was the service here — we were in and out in exactly 30 minutes! With very satisfied tummies at that.
