Cluck-U Chicken

Wings were Drowning in sauce tasting mostly like ketchup and buffalo sauce. Garlic Parmesan wings oily and rather nasty. Place is dingy at best, they need to do better.

Your average cluck u with your average cluck u food although I would have to say this one is my least favorite just because I frequent it the least. Same experience as every other cluck u though and same food quality.

Very disappointing for a place that is supposed to be chicken experts. Chicken coating was bland and nowhere close to crispy. On the inside the meat was dry and chewy. Asked for honey mustard (a common dip) but apparently was asking too much as I did not receive it. The spuds (French fries) made the chicken look good. Go figure. How do they make French fries tough and chewy? Overall too much money for the quality!

Stick to the wings. Definitely made fresh to order. A lot of chicken on the bone. Place itself needs a huge renovation though. It’s good if you want to just stop in for a quick bite.

They served me raw chicken breast 6 weeks ago. Called to complain. They gave me a credit for two free chicken breast (associated with my phone number). Just called to order well done chicken breasts. There is no credit on my account. The manager refused to make a correction for me. Said he did not believe me.
And that was after the gentleman who took my order had to put me on hold three times to check his menu items. Just lost 15 minutes of my life that I will never get back. I did however make the night a win by eliminating fried chicken from my diet. Bad customer service in an age where customers have so many other options.

I really used to love Cluck-​U. But to be honest with you I’d rather go across the street to Buffalo Wild Wings and do the half priced wings on the Tuesday and Thursday’s specials that they have. I mean, I don’t know what it is but I just feel like you guys over there in Eatontown just completely fell off over the years. The food is a «hit or miss»! I feel like early in the day around lunch time is when the food is somewhat tasty and fresh. Around dinner time it’s like the food tastes like it was cooked on a dirty grill or fried in grease that hasn’t been changed since earlier in the day. I’ve lived in Jersey all of my life and the one thing that we have that other states don’t and that is great beaches, the best women and awesome food. Sorry to say but until I hear or see some improvements, you won’t be getting any of my business. Especially in this establishment. God Bless!

The chicken is not too good. This is the driest fried chicken I’ve ever had. We won’t go anymore.

Been going here since college days. Glad they opened one up in this area. You know what you’re going to get and cluck-​u chicken delivers too. Solid place. ordered 30 wings and fries and fed a whole bunch of happy people. can’t beat that.

Delivery man literally RAN OFF with a tip we didn’t intend to give him. after we got our food, the delivery man gave us change and as we were counting it, we called out to him to come back because he didn’t give us another ten which was owed to us in change. He literally SPED OFF IN HIS CAR AFTER WE SAID TO COME BACK. Called Cluck U, told him about the situation, said the delivery man would come back. We waited and waited, called Cluck U again 3 TIMES and no response. Didn’t feel like perusing this with police but come on.

Delivery time was perfectly fine, arrived within a half hour and the food was hot. The girl who delivered was nice. There was some sauce spilled in the bag, but no big deal.
Moving on to the food — I have always loved their buffalo wings but I wanted something hotter so I ordered the nuclear BBQ wings and it tasted like spicy ketchup. There are only three flavors ranked as hotter, and this sauce was so mild. I was really disappointed and thru them out, way too sweet. The mac and cheese had a really strange smell and consistency, like yellow plastic. I was hoping for a basic and tasty macaroni and cheese.
All in all I think traditional buffalo wings or boneless are the way to go. I never had any sides before and I wouldn’t order any again.

Service sucked. Order was wrong i spent 60.00 to be treated as if i was annoying him because i checked the order before leaving missing 3items and over charged on 2(was charged as a meal but recieved just chicken. nice scam…

I ordered Cluck-​U for the first, and last time via GrubHub and needless to say — the experience was absolutely awful.
The food arrived over 2 hours after said delivery time, only to be handed off by an awful woman with a terrible attitude. Food was cold, and completely sub par. We would have been better off going to McDonald’s to be honest.
When I called to speak to management I was met with an attitude by a 20-​something that seemed to have the management qualifications of an 8^th grade graduate. Clearly this person has no idea what he is doing, and does not care about the reputation of his place of work. What ever happened to the customer being right?
Between the wait, attitude, temperature/​quality of food, and poor management skills — I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I recently had one of the worst delivery experiences ever.
We ordered our food online at 8:40pm, they said it would arrive at 9:25. at 9:40, I called to see where the delivery was. They said it was in transit, and the driver didn’t have our apartment number (which we already provided). He said they were on their way shortly. I then waited until 10:20, and the driver finally arrived.
It’s unfortunate, because I felt bad for this woman… She was obese and extremely disheveled. She had a strange man in the passenger seat with her. She walked up to my apartment with a gnarly attitude, and dropped off the food. What really upsets me, is that she handled this like a jerk, and I already tipped her 20% online in advance.
Thank you for the cold, and extremely terrible chicken sandwich.
I called and asked to speak to a «manager», which was the 20yr old stoner answering the phone (we smell our own). He mentioned there was nothing he could do about it. It is very clear to me why this dude is a «manager» at Cluck U, because he probably lost his shot to UPPER MANAGEMENT working at McDonald previously.
Go Cluck yourself, You are all pieces of excrement and your food sucks even more. Whoever owns this franchise should consider another business they could even care less about.

Good food but the service is total crap. Please get the local high school kids away from the counter. I love your wings but I have not visited this place in a year because I was sick of the way they treat customers.

Ate there the other day had the family pack with honey chicken and the four sides chicken was great biscuits was small but good really enjoyed the food our new Friday night take out spot.

cluck u is def an addiction.
thermonuclear boneless is my favorite. i used to pick these up every monday and thurday to get the 50cent boneless deal and any other day when i just had to feed the addiction. i used to order 10 or 20 for sharing but they were too hot for most of my friends so i usually ended up eating left overs, sometimes cold after a long night of drinking and other party activities. and they are always good plus the portion size WAS great, in more recent visits they seem to have been shrinking o_​O and a pparently they no longer do 50cent wing specials. that’s really a shame but i guess all good things must come to an end :(

Wings. .. . Not just for drunken college students anymore. .. . Cluck U is sort of an addiction.. .. I know, I know I sound like a shill, I honestly wish I had a stake in this biz, but alas no. .. I spend my days unraveling messes that result from spaghetti code…
Not sure why they have anything beyond wings traditional and boneless wings but they do. .. go figure. .. I doubt that I would ever come here for anything else however. I live in Freehold, and drive down to Eatontown once a week (around 35 miles round trip) just so we can get our fix. They recently introduced a couple of new sauces Sweet Chile, Roasted Garlic and Parmesan — the Sweet Chile is AWESOME, however I still go to Atomic Death as a fallback and 911 just to elevate the heat level on a wing or two. Being there is such a distance we get the wings naked and get the sauces on the side and use them as dipping sauces so that the wings remain crispy until eaten — strongly recommend this tactic if you are not going to eat them on premises.
Can’t speak for any other location as this is the only Cluck-​U i have been to.
Note: as far as I am concerned, from a food quality and value perspective, this place is WAY better than Buffalo Wild Wings hands down — the only drawback is they do not have much of a sit-​down area and are really a takeout location. If you like wings try them — you will be very pleased you did.

Cluck U has lost something after they revamped their disgusting and dilapidated building.
They might still have those incredibly spicey sauces but…
