My family and I try to make it at least 2 days a month for either family breakfast or dinner and we ALWAYS wait for Tracy(no matter how long). She is the absolute best server they have and she goes out of her way to provide the best service possible. It may not be 5 star meals but it’s always good comfort food! We always take time to go through the store as well. It’s a fantastic place where you are able to buy all of their products, bake ware, home décor, great kids toys, and more. We love going and enjoy it every time. It’s become our tradition as a family!

Upon getting escorted to our table, we specifically said 2 Adults, 5 Kids. I have no idea how the lady got it wrong, very noticeable I had more than 2 kids, She thought it was only 4 of us… I guess she didn’t know how to count??? Let me begin with the wait time, it was extremely lengthy… even to get a plate of biscuits and cornbread we waited about 30 minutes. Secondly, my Meatloaf plate– I wish I would of taken a photo, it looked like it had everyone’s left over meatloaf, yeah… I hate giving bad reviews, but it is what it is, so here I share my experience I had today. When I inquired about my plate to the waitress she replied by saying that it’s suppose to look like that because they cook everybody’s & everything all at one. I was shocked… It wasn’t even in a whole chunk as mentioned in the menu, there were parts of ketchup mixed in the middle & the meatloaf was all broken down in pieces which looked very weird to me. Something in my gut said, «DON’T EATIT»…I took a look at other peoples photos they’ve posted of their meatloaf & mines looked Nowhere near that, at least from what I saw theirs was served WHOLE, mines wasn’t. I was so upset, but since I am not the type to return food for an exchange of a different plate, the waitress took it off of our bill when my husband requested. I always say, if they don’t get it right the 1st time, I wont re-order, they might do something crazy to my food. So that was the end of that. The wait staff wasn’t so friendly, more of «Let me get my job done, so I can go home» type thing. As far as my husband & my kids meals they ordered looked fine, almost like the menu picture, so that’s why I rated this place a 2. I have been to another location before, and the experience was great, I don’t know what happened this time around. I would not go to this location again & I would not recommend anyone I know to go to this location either. It almost feels like I wasted my time & spend money($ 71.00) in a place I didn’t get what I asked for. I don’t expect Perfection, but I do expect to feel some type of level of comfort– which in my case I didn’t.

Type of order: Breakfast lunch. Food Quality: Countrified assembly line offerings… Beer Selection: N/A Service: Very nice, admittedly… every time Atmosphere: Family /Country store. Very large waiting area in the enormous gift store. Prices: Family friendly prices. Entertainment: The table next to you. Overall Experience: Close to Excellent, honestly. Good people, good food, reasonable prices. Repeat customer. Recommend Rating: Should go. Expect a wait on a weekend though, which is totally obnoxious(but worth it).

Love the store and rocking chairs. Service is adequate. We usually come for breakfast since the kids love their pancakes and french toast and syrup. I usually order a salad.

I come here when ever I am in town(which is at least every Xmas) I always get the Sunrise sampler, and I’m never disappointed. The service is usually at least adequate. Obviously some days the service is better than others but the service is always at least OK. And the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. I always look forward to coming back here!

So usually my boyfriend and I order take-out from Cracker Barrel. Last night for some reason we decided decided to dine in. and well, let’s just say, we’ll be sticking to just take-out from now on. Our server was just really strange and made the whole dining experience feel uncomfortable. To begin, we were sat, she came over promptly, introduced herself, and took our drink orders. Great! Normal enough. Then comes the weird. As we were going through the menu(which is quite extensive bc they gave us the breakfast menu too), she literally came by 6x in a 10min period to ask us if we were ready to order. Now I’ve waitresses before. There are signs you look for when you think you’re table is ready to order. For instance, both our menus were open and our faces were still staring at all the menu options. So no, of course we weren’t ready. And honestly by the 4th time she came by, I was ready to ask for a different server. Once our food was brought to the table, we barely touched any of it before she came by again to drop the bill. No asking how our meal was, or if there was anything else we needed beforehand. Nope just a, «I’ll just leave this here for your convenience.» I have never felt so rushed to eat a meal in my entire life. When we go out to eat, it’s a treat for us. Time away from the kids, time to converse, and to just enjoy a meal that neither of us had to cook for once. The server we had last night was pretty awful. I’m not sure why she was rushing us, but we won’t be back in for a long while.

Not bad, waited a bit for food to come out. Everything was warm, but nothing was hot. Good coffee. Great bacon. Sausage taste like something that comes vacuum sealed in a Christmas basket with the processed cheese sticks. Overall a decent price for the quantity and quality. If given the option again I’d roll the dice with a local 4+ star instead.

This was the first time we have eaten at a Cracker Barrel. The food was very good. I would eat there again. The place was clean and the staff were all nice and friendly. We were seated right away and the order was correct, hot and came out in a timely manner.

If I had to write a one-word review it would be: greasy. This place is pretty standard for Cracker Barrel. My favorite part is actually outside of the building: the rocking chairs on the porch. I could have stayed for an hour after dinner just rocking away. The restuarant is situated on top of a hill and the sunset was beautiful. Unfortunately this review has more to do with the food. The front of the restaurant is an old country store, complete with Christmas decorations in August and every candy imaginable. There was no wait for a table, which was nice. Being a vegetarian, I ordered 5 sides. I am not picky at all and am very easy to please. That being said, all of my food seemed to be covered in oil. My main memory from the meal was picking up the corn from the plate and the oil dripping off from my fork. I don’t really remember the rest of my meal, which I think speaks for itself. The best part was the free cornbread/biscuit appetizer. Seemed like just a tad bit better than drive-thru fast food. However, I will fully admit that this review might be completely biased since I don’t eat meat. My friend orders the fried chicken every time and says it’s the best. I think this place is built for a certain crowd that will always return. It also has a lot of kitschy things for sale which will appeal to some people. You are not missing much if you decide to go elsewhere. Next time I am in the market for an inexpensive dining-room experience I will head straight to trusty Friendly’s. And there happens to be one right down the street from this place.

Went to the six flags in agawam with my friend for the day. Had a good time, and after a long day of riding roller coasters, were hungry for full meal. We figured cracker barrell would be fine as something to maybe call in and pick up on the way home. After ordering the fried chicken tenderloin dinner, with a side of white gravy, fried apples, and mashed potatoes, i received the meal within 10 minutes, as stated by my waitress on the phone. Managed to wait the 60 mile drive back to eat my food at home! I just say, Still delicious. Good stuff East Windsor, CT Cracker Barrel

I had an early lunch here, long not after 11am, so it was during a crossover time of people still having breakfast and others arriving for lunch. My guest and I were seated by the door greeter in the very center of the central dining room. The noise was raucous coming from the next dining area! That experience slanted my visit and I mentioned it to my waitress She was about to offer another table but my guest and I stayed(but we discussed leaving altogether because the noise was so bad). Most of Cracker Barrels have three dining areas and I suppose if you’re in the center one, you get to hear every voice, every upset toddler and every utensil dropped or cup broken. The old pictures hanging on the walls are no sound baffles! As it was Monday, I had the day’s lunch special, baked chicken. I guess with the lunch specials, you don’t get the traditional biscuits or rolls, as none were served. Our waitress was very nice, but seemed new, and was not familiar with all the selections in the menu such as the salad my guest wanted to order that he had to point out to her in the menu. I noticed she was late in delivering our drinks only because people at the next table who came in after us already had theirs for some time. My drink was too overloaded with ice and not enough beverage. The baked chicken and accompanying stuffing was fine. One side was allowed and I asked for whole baby carrots. They were so soft, they were almost mush. I guess they’d be good for the old folks who like their veggies so you don’t have to chew them.(I never expected such soft, baby-like food to be perfectly reformed as a carrot!) She never asked if we were interested in dessert. Our waitress left us the check and I noticed she had added the wrong type of beverage but I said nothing because it was the same price. I left only a modest tip. Before paying up at the register, I visited the rest room. It looked like it had not been cleaned for quite a while, paper all over the floor and the exposed waste basket was near full. Wonder if it had been untouched since the previous day?! After picking up a couple of items to purchase, I paid for everything interacting with an unenthusiastic cashier and left wondering what happened at this site that a good manager could not fix? As a chain, I like Cracker Barrel. This particular store needs help with able staff and focused managerial direction.

There’s a place and time for fancy restaurants and then there’s a place and time for Cracker Barrel. For me, Cracker Barrel holds a special place. Maybe because their chicken and dumplings is a homecooking remedy for cold, loneliness and just overall home sickness. Maybe it’s because the open roast beef sandwich always has phenomenal fork tender roast beef and the optimal gravy drenched bread. The baked apple side is absolutely delicious and sweet enough to serve as dessert by itself. And the size of the dishes means we rarely order dessert. The fact that 2 people can eat for $ 20 only makes the experience all the better. After a huge lunch and after loading up on goodies in the store, sitting on the rocking chairs outside is the perfect end to a great meal. On the one hand, I wish there was a Cracker Barrel closer to us. On the other hand, I’m glad there isn’t otherwise, we would probably gain a bit of weight.

Today was just terrible. We came here expecting good food, and stellar service. Instead we received the exact opposite. Our waitress seemed so disinterested, and irritable. God forbid she had to work today. My pecan pancakes tasted like rubber. Service was slow. The waitress added our sodas to the bill but didn’t bring it to us. The register lady was also rude. When someone says«thank you» it’s customary to say«you’re welcome» you stupid old hag. Not make a face like a retard. This place supposedly has«Southern Style Charm». It’s safe to say that charm reminds me of a quote from David Chapelle and the south. «Hmmmmhmm that’s some tasty racism.» Avoid

This was my first trip to Cracker Barrel in East Windsor and only my second Cracker Barrel ever. My favorite breakfast place down the road went out of business and I decided to try this as I wanted some pancakes this morning. As I was sitting there waiting for my food the food at the next table arrived cold. I waited a long time for my food and when it did finally come, it was stone cold. Stone cold scrambled eggs and pancakes. The sausages were the only thing that was hot. I asked the waitress to bring the manager over because I could tell there was an issue in the kitchen. The plates were cold. It wasn’t like the waitress left them under the warming lights too long. He said he would get me a new breakfast and came out a while later with more cold eggs and pancakes and before I could even see if the food was cold, he was gone. When he came back, I complained that the food was cold and he started to argue with me that the butter was melting on the pancakes. Barely melting, they were stone cold and so were the eggs. He took the eggs back and brought me hot ones. Three times was the charm on that one. I can’t believe the argument from a manager? I have worked in this business and explained that to him. He was just down right rude! The waitress was awesome. He comped my breakfast and I left her a $ 5 tip. She should leave and go work somewhere else. Not ever going back to this place again. I might have given it a second time if not for the rude manager.

Cracker Barrel is classic– it’s American, its simple, it’s relaxing. With a combined gift store with a Southern country theme, what’s to hate on? I’ll preface by saying that when you think of Cracker Barrel, healthy eating isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. Granted they recently tried introducing lighter and more wholesome meals, but let’s be real — I’m here for the biscuits, ALL of the buttermilk biscuits! Okay, maybe not all of the biscuits but definitely the corn muffins! Let’s be serious all of the portions are generally huge, the prices are cheap, and the service is always friendly. Whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can expect the same hearty, honest-to-goodness approach and home-style cooking Cracker Barrel is recognized for. Country fried steak or catfish, dumplings, fried okra, mac n’ cheese, collard greens, hash-brown casserole, baked beans; I’m not shy going country when I visit. And for two people who love to try everything — we always leave bellies full, wallet happy, and shameless.

I will say that this place may be the cause of obesity in America, but i will also say that this place may be one of my favorite places of all time. This place is half country store/have eatery from the gods. I personally like my food to be absurd and all mixed together because im a fully grown child. I got for brunch country fried chicken with eggs(sunny side up) potatoes, grits, sweet tea of course, and a small child(to eat). All the food was cooked well and my sweet lord was it delicious. Also i recommend you get some of the apples on the side if you like great tasting food. The Servers were very friendly and helpful. The food is relatively inexpensive and it is quite delicious actually. The downfall again is i felt my heart rate slow down, and i felt my impeding death coming after finishing my meal.

Cracker Barrel is a safe bet for your typical southern style food whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. This particular store has friendly staff and decently consistent food. They do tend to get busy during the weekend for breakfast. However, wait time is less painful when you can peruse around the store. Food is standard and portions are a reasonable size. I will say for breakfast, their prices are pretty amazing. I enjoyed my $ 7 breakfast, my boyfriend liked his and he added pancakes as well. We had a ton of food on the table for $ 25. It can be a bit heavy — between the carb overload with the biscuits, grits, pancakes, french toast, it left our stomachs a little queasy after. But, it is expected when you pack on the carbs for breakfast. Suggestions: The hash brown casserole is delicious, the pecan pancakes will satisfy your sweet tooth and they keep the coffee coming. A safe bet and a good breakfast nonetheless. 3 stars for dependability, quality of food and friendliness of staff.

First of all, it was hilarious to realize that, out of about 50 patrons I noticed, we were by far the youngest. I am sure this had more to do with the fact that we visited during the middle of the week, and there were no busses or families coming or going. Still it gave my wife and I a chuckle. We stopped here on the way to pick up our new puppy. It was a cold, snow-covered day, but we were made to feel at home immediately. Our waitress was charming, knowledgeable, and gave us the perfect amount of attention. The food spoke for itself. The breakfast menu must have had over a dozen combination deals, depending on if you wanted different eggs, pancakes, waffles, meats, etc. There was absolutely something for everyone. Nancy had a delicious looking omelet, and I had a combo with eggs, potatoes and a sample of thick-style bacon, sausage and glazed ham. Our breakfast came with biscuits & cream gravy too. Good thing I drive a sedan, because I don’t think we’d fit back in if we drove a compact after that morning feast! I love how you can’t leave without tripping through the country/gift store. Whoever planned that must have worked in a museum! Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s a pleasure to see everything they have, from penny candies to clothing to gifts. And the décor in and out is enough to make you«pine» for the good old days.

Great food! One of the better hash brown casseroles I’ve had in a while. Definitely recommend the biscuits, orange juice and hot chocolate. Great ambience and service overall– we gave it four instead of five as the server gave us our check when we were barely half way through our meal and kept coming by to ask if she could clear our table even though 2 of the four of our party were clearly eating.

Very friendly staff, they have some Southern delicacies in their store like Goo Goo Clusters & I did see some dark chocolate Mallow Cups. Food I had was really good and my friend, who was celebrating a birthday, seemed to enjoy his meal. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the area.
