Surprisingly decent stay! Maybe I just lucked out with a corner room, but I didn’t hear anyone else in the hotel at all even though at least the whole first floor was booked(I know this because the gentleman in front of me requested a room on the first floor and was told it was completely booked). The bed was a dream. I might just have a crappy bed at home, but I had no issues with it. The comforter was lumpy as others have said, but I think that’s on purpose. The lumps were too uniform and evenly spaced to not be there on purpose. The pillows were weirdly small though. There were four square pillows on my king bed. If I hadn’t been staying alone, I’m not sure that would have been enough. The room was pretty big. Room for a king bed, lounge chair, desk, standalone closet, two night stands, a dresser, and a chest. The only complaint was I wish there was an overhead light. The lamps on the side tables didn’t quite give enough light at night. The heater was on a chilly 62 when I arrived, but I had no issues changing the room temperature. Bed bug check came up clear! Always important in a budget hotel. I didn’t get to partake in the free breakfast as I was running late in the morning, but the complimentary tea and coffee always available in the lobby was a wonderful touch. Great pressure and heat in the shower. Free wifi was easy to connect too and pretty fast considering hotel wifi isn’t always the greatest. Great cable selection — they even had HBO. Too bad the next Game of Thrones season isn’t out yet. I paid $ 56 after fees and taxes for a room with a king bed. I did receive a discount through my employer, but it was only 16%. Not too bad for what I got.

It’s an old Hampton Inn. Stay clear of Johneeshia the rude front desk associate who tried it. She told me I would be charged $ 40 for a double. I declined. Basically going out of the way to make my check in as miserable as possible, like her life at this job? Or so I take it? I guess she needed pocket money to go out that night since I saw her later on at Hip Hop Night at Trexx. I ended up checking out the following day. And Checking back in later in the day with a very nice professional young gentleman who happily gave me a double. The management needs to fire this woman. The hotel charged me for a night after I had already paid through priceline. Johneesha told me that I shouldn’t use a debit card when checking in after calling and asking questions about the charge. Complacent attitude. Not amused to interact with this person. Other than that. The rooms are comfortable and the matresses are nice but the place is starting to fall apart. The card reader to open the back door is broken now and you must walk through the lobby. SOrry there is no way to avoid her.

Good hotel for the price, located in the heart of Carrier Circle, surrounded by other hotels and lots of dining options so locations a plus. Hotel itself is fine, nothing fancy but it does the job. Nice sized rooms with good cable lineup on HDTV’s, clean bath, ample parking and helpful, friendly front desk.

We were here for basically 12 hours, spending the night before a dance competition. Decent hotel for the price. Clean and comfortable. Comforter was lumpy which I believe someone else mentioned. I noticed a couple room doors that has no door handles-weird. My only complaint was you could hear people in the bathroom, probably upstairs. I don’t think I should hear a guy peeing! It wasn’t a deal breaker but still. Breakfast was good for the price of the hotel. Make your own waffles, cereal, pastries, bagels, etc. They were baking cookies when we arrived at night but when we got back from dinner I didn’t see any. Whether they were already gone I don’t know. Nice touch though. Would definitely stay here again if passing through or if we just need a place in Syracuse for the night.

If you can help it(I couldn’t– everywhere else was booked!) do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. The front desk and maids were extremely rude and made it painful to get a $ 175 king room to stay in for 8 hours. The front desk guy literally went out of his way to try and get us to stay somewhere else. The rooms are on par with a motel but you do get a flat screen and cable.

Not a bad hotel, and its one of the cheaper ones in the area. The hotel staff i think wear what they want, and do what they want up at the front desk. I also had a lovely time eating morning breakfest with the staff as they ate with the paying customers… do not think that should happen. Everything about the hotel was average. Nothing to jump around about, and nothing horribly bad. Oh, the beds are ridiculously small.

Yes, I am giving a cheap hotel 4 stars and what follows is why. This place is cheap and as a result it operates as a cheap hotel. The bed and pillows were comfy, the internet was fast and free, the breakfast was above average for free continental breakfast and the woman at the front desk was just lovely to talk to. I understand what people say about cleanliness and it could be better. I would not expect a lot in terms of day to day housekeeping if I were spending more than one night but I’m not. I get a little nervous about hotels and bed bugs so I did my usual bed bug check. I pulled up all the bedding, looked under the mattress, looked in the fold of the mattress for tell-tale smears or tell-tale intense cleaner residue and found NOTHING. The bed and the linen were really clean as was the bathroom. There was some dust in the corners but it was less than at my own house and just very clearly where the vacuum does not reach. This is the ideal place to stop for a night if you are flying/driving through Syracuse and have weird flight/drive times. I felt welcome, safe, and uncontaminated and my wallet really liked the less than $ 60 price. Don’t expect 5 star service at that price but be pleasantly surprised at the service to price ratio.

Stayed here one night. The room was comfortable, as was the bed. I actually slept better than I usually do for a first night in a new place, which was a nice surprise. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. I didn’t get up for breakfast(6 to 9 am). Later — I’ve now read the review from two months ago and am happy to say that the housekeeping issues were nonexistent during my stay. Everything was fine, although I did wonder why my slippers made sticky sounds on the bathroom floor. Additional note — very strong recycling presence, which I applaud.

Unacceptably bad housekeeping. In fact, we were told by the front desk employee that they don’t do housekeeping . The first thing I noticed was the dirty shower/tub. Housekeeping was non-existent. I stayed here two nights. Showered the first morning there, went out for several hours and returned at around 5pm to find the room unserviced. Beds were not made, trash not collected, dirty towels still on the bathroom floor(they have a notice in the bathroom notifying guests to leave towels to be replaced on the floor). We were headed out later that evening and had to shower again, so we had to call down to ask for fresh towels. Towels were dropped off(old ones weren’t collected). On our way out, we asked the woman at the front desk if we could have housekeeping come by and service the room while we were gone. She said«Oh, we don’t do that here». We had to just stare at her in disbelief until she said«oh, haha, don’t worry about it, we’ll take care of it.» We returned at about 11pm to find the room in exactly the state we left it in, they didn’t even bring up fresh towels. The next morning, needing to shower and without towels, we called again for towels and ended up waiting 30 minutes until I decided to shower and use hand towels to dry myself. Towels finally arrived after I had finished showering. I have never in my life seen a hotel that«doesn’t do» housekeeping. I will never stay at any Baymont again, and strongly recommend to others to find somewhere else to stay. The complete lack of customer care is asinine.
