Absolute worst experience ever in a restaurant. Offered to pay extra for a simple soup vs sides for my $ 35 dollar steak. Said no and we don’t do that! What a prick. That was after food was on grill and a drink was opened by bartender was not touched. WHATANIDIOT! You spent way more $$ by saying no. No wonder there was only a few more people there. Congrats!

I hope the kitchen staff just had a bad night because the condiments on the wedge salad were just plopped on and looked like somebody was just lazy and the server asked if I wanted bread but never delivered. There was part of an onion that was mostly the end of an onion — the part you throw away. My requested ‘medium’ burger came out ‘well’ and very dry. And what cook worth their salt sends out a burger on a cold un-grilled, un-buttered deli roll straight from Price Chopper. On a good note, the fries were tasty.

ok, time to poll the audience: are leftovers from a catered buffet fair game for doggy bags? you ordered X amount of food to feed X amount of people… but perhaps not everyone wanted a piece of the eggplant parm/lasagna concoction. Our leftover morsels were quickly shuttled into the kitchen. «They have to eat too» noted someone in our party, which I suppose makes me feel better about missing out on leftovers… Overall, the food was fine. Among the eggplant parm/lasagna, chicken riggies, string beans, and roasted vegetables, the eggplant parm/lasagna was the standout. an option for a catered event. prob won’t be back, but it’s a decent meal in that random part of town.

Came here and got a steak. It was under-cooked but I’d rather have under than over. Our server was very nice but he messed up our drink order and we had to ask for bread which we finally got when dinner came out. He seemed new and again he was very polite. A large table left near ours and a few waitresses that where breaking down the table openly bitched and gossiped about coworkers and their job the entire time we ate our $ 298oz under-cooked steaks. Mashed potatoes where good. Not impressed with this place.

Stopped in for a drink and was pleasantly surprised of the atmosphere of this quaint restaurant. We ended up having appetizers. The greens were excellent. Spicy! The shrimp cocktail was good with their homemade cocktail sauce. The bartender was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Their wine list was impressive, although we had craft beers which were very cold!(No draft beer, FYI) Will go back and try dinner.

Me and my boyfriend ate here New Year’s Eve. We are traveling cross country and stopped in town for the night. We walked in with no reservation but were able to be seated at the bar which has a full menu. The bartenders were very attentive and the make bartender who seemed to be our main server was one of the best servers I’ve ever had anywhere. The bar was very crowded due to the holiday and my personal space was invaded a few times but I guess it’s to be expected considering we were eating in a bar on New Year’s Eve. The food was good. I had the chicken picatta with pesto pasta and my bf had the steak special and added a lobster tail. My food was about average; however the blue cheese dressing the came with my dinner salad was superb. Creamy and chock full of blue cheese. My boyfriend said he thought his lobster tail was frozen but his steak was buttery and perfectly cooked. It was the best bite I had although the fresh warm bread and butter was tasty too! I definitely recommend this place for a romantic dinner if you’re not sitting at the bar and the steaks seem to be the way to go.

Came here with my dad and 5 year old daughter for dinner because we were staying in the hotel next door. I wasn’t expecting much since it’s located in the midst of a bunch of hotels but I was pleasantly surprised. We arrived just after 7 and there was a wedding being held on their patio. I was worried that once the reception started we’d have slow service but we didn’t. We had a great waiter who was in no way rushing us. I hadn’t seen my dad in a while so we were having a nice leisurely visit. We started with crab cakes and the special pumpkin curry soup. Loved the soup — just the right amount of spice. The crab cakes came with an amazing aolie. Not too much filler, nice amount of crab. For dinner I had the lasagna with Sunday gravy. Excellent red sauce with great flavor. Tender shredded pork in the sauce. Had more than enough for lunch the next day. Dad had lobster ravioli. It came with a roasted red pepper cream sauce with wilted spinach. Good lobster flavor. Would have wished for more lobster chunks. I would definitely recommend Justin’s if your staying in the area or even a local.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from a place sandwiched between a bunch of hotels in a less than attractive part of Syracuse, but was pleasantly surprised. Very nice décor and atmosphere, with attentive staff. Better than average selections of wines. Started off with a great calamari app and followed with a very nicely seasoned and prepared flank steak. If in the area, give it a try!

Worse meal I have ever had. 3 people in our party ordered beef of some sort. All were either over cooked or under cooked even with a send back still not being right. Waitress was fabulous however when the complaint was made, THEOWNER would not come to the table to discuss our displeasure. Would not recommend this restaurant even if someone wanted fast food. Burger King would be better!

Was excited for a nice dinner out at Justin’s Grill. We had been here for a wedding and it was exceptional… then. Have to say that the meal was average. Ordered a prime rib that came out cooked as ordered but it had obviously been sitting for a while because it was well below room temp. The piece of meat was average as well. The other meals(flank steak and salmon) were described as «ok». For the price, we expected(and deserved) a much better meal. The highlight was the courteous wait staff. Gotta run and get something good to eat !

I’m shocked and surprised at all of the bad reviews. It’s not the best restaurant, but is it bad? No, I’d beg to differ. I’ve had a few very enjoyable experiences at Justin’s. The food tastes fresh and 100% of the time well prepared. I really appreciate the cozy atmosphere, which effectively matches it’s hotel surroundings. In fact, I’ll go as far to say that Justin’s is one of the best additions to the remote collection of Mariotts at Carrier Circle. It’s a great dining experience, seconds away from your hotel room. If it’s too late to head over to Armory for some Pasta, than Justin’s isn’t a bad plan B.

Decent steak. Slightly undercooked. No big deal. Mashed potatoes were very good. Waitress was very nice. Overall, the food and experience was average, at best. However, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Will return to try a few different meals.

Bartender needs a new career. Spaced out within seconds after asking each question and couldn’t be bothered with anything more than you’d expect from counter help at fast food place. Get in your car and skip carrier circle. They do t care if you ever come back since there’s a sucker born every time a new person checks in. Togo orders for. Bar seemed much better than food in person. But overpriced frozen quality entrees are just that. Yuck. You might do better at ruby Tuesday’s. At least they are not pretending to be something they are not. Won’t be back. Consider yourself warned!

Very nice, clean friendly staff. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and zucchini sticks for an appetizer. Looked like they were a frozen item. Dinner I had the angel hair pomodoro with a salad. Although tasty the pasta was drowning in the olive oil. I came home and about 3 hours later was awoken by nasty stomach pains. I never get sick and I never throw up, and I threw it all up over a one hour period. It was awful. I will never go back.

Quick review for a good place. I ordered the surf and turf. It was enjoyable. Both the lobster tail and the steak were cooked perfectly. Is it something I would order again? Probably not, but it’s a good option. I did try a bite or two of my coworkers jambalaya and another’s chicken and broccoli lasagna. and I wish I had gotten one of those instead because I enjoyed those more. The bread they serve is good too! The only downside to my visit there was the time it took for the main food to get out. Maybe it was because they were closing soon, but whatever the cause I hope it won’t be as long the next time I visit.

Very comfortable setting for a good meal. service was much better than the meal. Grilled chicken in the pasta seemed too be frozen or reheated. First time at Justins I would give it one more try before I mark it off my list.

It’s been the summer of weddings and I’ve attended two different wedding receptions at this same location. At the first wedding, the steaks were just ok. The staff that they hire though? Are incredibly nice and the reception space is a good size. At the second wedding, it was buffet style and I have to say the food was(oddly enough) much tastier and fresh in comparison. The prime rib was juicy(not over cooked), the grilled veggies delicious and I loved the pumpkin ravioli.

We went here for Happy Hour– $ 2 beers & wine– wow! Great! b1G1 °F shrimp cocktails– they were big shrimp– good cocktail sauce but seemed to be cooked peeled frozen version. Had dinner– calamari greasy should have been drained more… Our waiter was efficient– no personality– he probably is a future NY state trooper– Had the filet mignon– perfect tenderness but no flavor-also salads are a last carte– you only get 1 side! We also had the pasta with the sausage & chicken– fantastic! I would eat here again! Had a coupon in the Entertainment book. Popcorn at bar fantastic– good bartender but his female half was not friendly. Good large open atmosphere modern & clean.

We have wanted to try Justin’s for a long time. I took my wife there for her birthday. We have heard nothing but good things about the restaurant and we were anticipating a fine meal. When I made the reservation I inquired if the offered gluten free bread. I was politely told no. If you look on Justin’s web site they are affiliated with Pascal’s Bakehouse, who offer gluten free baked goods. One would think with a couple days warning they could get a couple rolls or a loaf of bread to the restaurant. The first thing that sent up a red flag was the specials board read«Tuesday Specials» since it was Thursday this was an concern, despite the hostess trying to assure us it was a mistake and the person who wrote the board up didn’t know what day it was. She said she would change it, since it was a slow night I would have figured it would have been taken care of before we left, it was not. Second warning was the tables were covered with white butchers paper over the table cloths. Since Justin’s is touted as a fine dinning restaurant then why the hell would you look like a roadside BBQ restaurant? The only thing that clued me in that I wouldn’t be eating with my fingers was a cloth napkin with the flatware neatly tucked inside. Unfortunately the third warning was the flatware. The steak knives were at one time the beautiful large wood handled wide blade steakhouse knives. The knives were so old and had been run through the dishwasher so many times there wasn’t a lick of finish left on the handles. The forks and common knife were just scratched up and looked like they have been around since the beginning of time. The waiter was sloppy looking and didn’t come off as a professional. When he spoke it was a soft mumble and not particularly articulate. Then he served our drinks, he served me first and my wife second, which he did through out the entire meal. He did manage to get the courses to the table at an adequate pass but we were about ready to send out a search party for him to clear our plates after our entries were finished. When he brought over the credit card recites he brought the wrong tables check over. He was apologetic but this was not a busy Saturday night, was was a pretty quiet Thursday. The bread as average, tasty but nothing special. The compound herb butter was a nice touch but for a Tuscan grill I would think that olive oil would be on the table for dipping. The Caesar salad was average, the dressing had a little zip but was probably not a homemade. My wife’s Surf and Turf looked ok, the tail was a cold water lobster but they didn’t bother to season the tail or the filet. The filet was cook to the proper temperature but nothing outstanding. Her mashed potatoes had some pretty sizable chunks of potatoes. I had a prime rib that was incredibly average, at the proper doneness, but the plate was cool and so was the meat. The couple next to had a steak and Chicken Marsala. The chicken was the best looking plate and I could smell the Marsala nine feet away. I saw a shrimp cocktail severed a la 1984 in a big old margarita glass. All in all, if you are looking for a steakhouse or «fine dining» don’t go to Justin’s, it is neither. The entire restaurant from the décor, the food, the staff and flatware is tired and out of date. For the prices they are charging I would expect properly set table without butchers paper and with shinny and polished silver, a neat and clean staff who pay attention to details and deliver above average service. The food should be served hot, well prepared and well seasoned. Basically no one there cares enough to make an effort above doing the minimum. This is from offering gluten free breads upon request, paying attention to details or preparing well seasoned food. We will never go there again unless they make radical changes.
