Carleton Circle Motel & Lounge

Can you give no stars? Don’t stay here. Booked online and rolled in late after a day of driving. It smells, old, musty, out dated and run down is an understatement. The mattress had a plastic liner on it. The staff is awful. They threatened to call the cops because my bf didn’t have an ID. It’s no wonder why the parking lot is empty.

Got bedbugs staying here! Stay away from the motel! Do not go no matter how low the price is. There were cobwebs everywhere and not to forget BEDBUGS! Stay away

We booked through a travel site and chose rashly based on price rather than reviews– huge mistake. We checked in and right back out. The outside of the building is run down and shabby, the inside of the office reeked and make my stomach turn, and when we got to the room and checked it out we found a brown splatter on the toilet seat as well as stains on the blankets. I was disgusted and it was then that I checked the reviews to see if I was overreacting or if this was normal. I read that there were previous bed bug issues as well as similar cleanliness issues, so we decided to find somewhere else to stay for the night. We went back to the office to check out and told the manager the reason and he was very nice about it, he checked the room to confirm, and came back telling us to call the booking site for a refund. He didn’t seem surprised about the issue but he did agree that there was one. After a frustrating phone call with the booking site I got promised a refund and we found a much better place to stay near the center.

Don’t waste your money or time. I have a better shed at home. Water was hot but that’s the best part of this place. Towels are like paper. Stay away!!!

A Lounge is by definition «a communal room in a hotel, ship, theatre, etc, used for waiting or relaxing in»
We arrived in this place after a seven hour car ride with three children and there was NO WAY we were going to sleep or lounge there. (Even though we pre-​paid through EXPEDIA.)
We booked two rooms and literally walked in, walk out and sat outside to figure out what to do…
The rooms were dark, smelled of something unidentifiable and just seemed very dirty. The carpet had stains and the bedspread seemed so soiled that that I started itching. The bathroom smelled of bleach and the shower was filthy sporadically cleaned.
I have NEVER stayed at a Holiday Inn before — until that faithful evening in June 2012. We gave the keys back to the very sweet (Indian?) motel (owner/​manager?) but this place is just not up to anybodies standard.

This place is alright. I could see staying there during the summer and being fine, but I would not stay here again in cold weather. Their heat is not adequate. It’s a simple place, not dirty like some other reviews I read beforehand. We stayed in October, during the one snowstorm we had last year. It was not snowing on the Cape, but it was cold. The heating in one room was provided by the air conditioner, and the other room just had a space heater. The space heater kept tripping the breaker so we would wake up in the middle of the night with no heat or power in either room. They were very good about resetting the breaker when we called, but it was a little ridiculous. Stay there when it is warm, but I can’t recommend it when it’s cold.

Heater didn’t work in early October and it was freezing. Bugs in room. Telephone didn’t work. Called front desk from my cellphone at about 9 and there was no answer. It just went to voicemail. There were drunk people at the house on the property trying to converse with us. They lived there! Stained sheet and blankets!
