Capewind Waterfront Motel

We stayed in late June, and were surprised by how quiet and empty the motel was. We saw very few other people there during our stay. Hotel staff was nice, but pool hours were inconsistent. Rooms were cute and overall clean. My kids had the whole pool to themselves and loved biking around the grassy property. There is a dock and you can sign out two kayaks with vests and paddles, which was nice. Kids enjoyed jumping off the dock too and swimming in the lake – very clean body of water. Great for families — and there is an elementary school right across the street with two great playscapes — great to walk to after dinner to burn off the kids’ leftover energy. We were able to bike to the beach with the kids several times — it’s not super close, but doable thanks to good sidewalks in town. A very quaint town too with plenty of good restaurants, stores, and playgrounds for the kids.

I paid a little over a hundred dollars. Pet-​friendly hotel. Very clean. Refrigerator in room. Comfortable beds. Picnic table outside of every room. There is a walk to the water. Cute dock

I rented a cottage here and it was lovely. Hope to do it again soon.

This is one of the best motels I stayed in during my 2 week tour of New England last year.
First off, inexpensive, under $ 100 per night– beginning of October– Fall Foliage season.
Rooms are HUGE, spacious and clean– all face the beautiful water view, and have a a very private resort feel. Trees and shade and lawn everywhere, right on the water, there are paddle boats you can take out for free.
I am looking for another motel in Long Island NY to repeat the same experience I had here, don’t think its going to happen, this place was off the hook.
Very very quiet and private also. The girl at the desk was immensely helpful and friendly.

This resort was wonderful! Great rooms, friendly, very helpful staff, and it is absolutely beautiful! We loved our 5 day stay, and will be back.

We had our family reunion here this week. I did not stay the whole time but the two days I was here were amazing. The rooms are very cute and clean and have everything you would need. They have two styles: a full kitchen and a kitchenette. There is also a picnic table and chairs behind every unit and there is a pool and a dock for kayaking and paddle boating, both of which are available for free. Both Mikes (the owners) were super helpful and even took our whole family on a special lighthouse tour. I had an amazing time and so did all 30 members of my extended family. We felt very welcomed and at ease. Thanks so much, I will be back!
