Pathmark Super Center

This store is scheduled to close, as part of the A&P bankruptcy.
It was always overpriced, and not particularly clean.

Prices are so-​so. I guess sort of in line with Stop & Shop (although it’s not like a senior center — people of various ages shop here), maybe slightly cheaper, but definitely not as good as ShopRite.
Never seems overly crowded, with long lines, but lines can happen.
Parking is always easy — only one other business there, and the parking lot is HUGE!
Produce does look good, fresh. I’ve always managed to find what I was looking for, including sale items. Either they have plenty, or they restock often!

This place is amazing.
This place has plentiful amount of food here. Its kind of like coming to the gaden of Eden and finding everything i need. Its paradise of food.
Plentiful selection of vegetables and great things to choose from. I love how they run specials and deals on products from week to week. it varies. plus the store give coupons: D
staff is good mannered and helpful, although the strain of a long day is obvious but hidden.
Prices are good. not too high and not too low. Just right for food. I rather come here rather than Shoprite down route 18. The place is by itself instead of part of a larger mall. The parking lot is spacious enough for a good exercise, if i choose to park across the world in that football-​field-​sized lot. Some less people but it still has business to support the population. I love this place. it has everything priced fairly.
the only thing i wish changed: there be some cover over the vegetables. like, a covered thing they use for the cooked meats.

We have been shopping here for 40 years. Since their acquistion by A&P, the store has gone downhill steadily. First, there are giant holes in the entrance drive from Racetrack Road. They have been there for months and no attempt has been made to repair them. I have to creep the car over them every time I shop. But more importantly, their inventory is terrible.
They carry three brands of low-​salt turkey in the deli; today they were out of all of them. They only had ¼ pound of the low-​salt swiss cheese I wanted; I needed ½ pound. There were no strawberries on the shelves. Over the last few months, they have regularly been out of items I wanted (e.g., reduced fat Skippy peanut butter). The employees are great; it’s just that inventory is terrible and prices are high.
Enough said… I have to go to Shop Rite now to buy the missing turkey.
