Golfsmith

The salesman try to charge me additional money when buying clubs for the fitting and parts. I had thought that the fitting was automatic if you bought brand new clubs, at least elsewhere. Also the separate entity Golf Tec within the same building tries to separate themselves from Golfsmith claiming they have nothing to do with them. Which may be true but they are in the same location and put themselves out as part of Golfsmith. In fact the Golfsmith salesman says to me that the fitting is less expensive over Golf Tec charging you for a fitting. So it’s an organization that’s pitted against each other. Golf Tec doesn’t even promote Golfsmith purchases. I was told to look online for better deals. This is a bit strange in the same location. I don’t like organizations that are shady

If you go to this store see Brian. He was an unbelievable help when trying to resize my Titleist irons I received for a Christmas present. He was understanding and very reasonable throughout my experience at Golfsmith. In an industry where many professionals can be pretenous and overbearing, he was friendly and approachable. Being from Massachusetts it would be difficult to make my next purchase at the Golfsmith in East Brunswick, NJ, but I have never made a better purchase for golf equipment.

I love to go and test clubs then shop for them online.
If they would consider lowering their prices it would likely lead to increased sales.

Decent selection and does price matching if you can find a lower price online. BUT the sales associates are snobby and not helpful or friendly. They seems to be all over the senior citizens that comes in here, probably because they spend more big bucks and generally don’t give an extra second to anyone below age 30.
More than a few occasions they have walked away from helping me to go to an older person or a regular that comes in just to chit chat for 15 – 20 mins before returning. I had to go up to ask him to come back and help me once as I waited for so long.
Ditch this place and go to another store to get the help and respect you deserve as a customer!
