News Flash: For travelers North or South bound on Interstate 91(Exit 45) or anyone Local to the area, Belvedere Polish Delicatessen is a stop worth it’s while. Tucked away in the back corner of Sofia’s Shopping Plaza is the charming Deli and«Mini-Grocerette» European style. The ladies behind the counter are full of charm and very accommodating. I’ve been here a number of times for a fresh deli sandwich and other occasions a warm plate of Kielbasa, Kraut, Pierogi, and a cold Polish brew from the cooler. You can eat-in at one of their small dining tables or take-out. I recommend dining in because the desserts are outstanding and you might want seconds. Other stops have included: Fresh Breads, Deli Meats, Sausages, Cheeses, Desserts, and Grocerette Sides to Ooo & Ahh guests.

Polish food in East Windsor?! Yay! This place is a little grocery store and a deli and a hot foot counter. I came here and tried six different pierogies. They were delicious. They have one with cheese and peppers and it was yummy. Their classic potato and cheese ones are pretty fantastic too. The cabbage soup is also pretty phenomenal because it has chunks of kielbasa too :) I’ve heard the sandwiches are delicious — I didn’t try one, but I’ve heard they’re good.

I can only vouch for the sandwiches. Meats are sliced to order and high quality placed on your choice of bread and served with a pickle spear and chips. For $ 5.50 it’s an outstanding value. A word in advance… the mustard can be spicy.

Ordered sandwiches and cookies for my team for lunch– delivery was prompt, food was good, everyone went home happy. I’d like to try them again for some of the more Polish fare, since it’d be great not to have to go to New Britain every time I want a good kielbasa!

Great Deli. Nice selection of meats and polish goods. The lady that was working was very friendly. I’ll be back when I’m in the area.

Super authentic Polish deli! Their perogies are amazing! The bacon is genuine giant thick sliced heaven– and assorted authentic polish meats and cheeses. Do your self a favor and try this wonderful family owner gem!

Love this spot. Great food, nice staff, they helped me with some pronunciations. Kielbasa was excellent and juicy, sauerkraut flavorful and pierogis fresh and plump. Will def return.

I never knew this place existed but stopped in for lunch. I was ignored at first but eventually waited on. I ordered kielbasa, sauerkraut, and pirogues for $ 6.49. The kielbasa was fresh and crunched beautifully when I bit into it. The flavor was mild but still good. The sauerkraut was very bland. I like to taste the vinegar. The pirogues tasted old. When asked which of the four I wanted, I chose bacon and sauerkraut. Tasted like some other meat was in it. I really didn’t care for it at all. They looked great and were cooked well, maybe I would have liked another kind. The meal came with a fresh slice of bread. It was soft with a crusty edge, very good. I also may have ordered an apple turnover. They are huge as also come with cherry. It was the best apple turnover I’ve ever had. I don’t know if they bake on-site but wow. It was flakey with not too much filling. Yum!

I really enjoy Belvedere Polish Delicatessen. It was a fine surprise to find this place tucked in a strip of shops right off exit 45 in Enfield. The area isn’t stupendous, but the quality of the foods they serve is worth the trip. First and foremost they have a deli with an assortment of pre-made polish specialties like half a dozen different pirogi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa, pork and chicken cutlets, and baked sauerkraut. They have a number of daily specials as well– the cabbage soup is truly delicious! These are authentic, home-made Polish treats, and really bring you a taste of home if you grew up with them. I always order the kielbasa, pirogi, mashed potato combo and it makes one heck of a dinner(and lunch the next day, for me!) Along with the hot prepared food, they also have a deli with a number of sandwich specials, and polish meats and cheeses not found in any grocery store I have ever seen– I always get some double pressed bacon, it’s an amazing bacon treat that is twice the thickness of normal bacon! The deli is also a full specialty grocery store carrying every brand of Polish dry good I could imagine from gravy mix to chocolate. Many of these I have not seen anywhere other than Europe. This includes a number of local fresh baked goods as well! The crowning glory of the grocery section is the cold case which boasts a huge assortment of cook-at-home pirogi and a selection of local kielbasa made right down the street in Enfield! I always buy a few for my freezer when I visit. The staff is very friendly and clearly Polish, and though their service is consistently slow, they are such kindly folk that it doesn’t very much bother me. Also, prices are fair– a bit less than you’d expect to spend at a specialty shop, so that is a plus. It’s worth stopping in if you are sick of the traditional area food options!

Stopped In the other day to see what they had. After looking at their website I was excited and interested in a number of things such as, pierogi and golabki. Disappointed to see the pierogi’s and most of the stuff is frozen. Prices are somewhat high, but still reasonable. They also had a nice variety of polish beers along with baked items. The stuff is real good and is the real deal for Polish food. Homemade kielbasa and amazing homemade desserts. It doesn’t get more authentic than this place. Every time I go in there though they look at me like I have two heads. Maybe they can tell I’m not Polish, but they are very nice. I’ve been here many times now and feel comfortable giving this place five stars. If your in the area it’s definitely worth a stop. This is one small business worth supporting.

Attention New Britain! There is a Polish presence North of Hartford too, and they can boast of a damned cool place in East Windsor by the name of the Belvedere Polish Delicatessen. Where do I start? How about the huge freezer case with bag after bag of Pierogies. They only sell 19 different kinds. How about the aisle after aisle of everything Polish known to man. Polish groceries, beer, magazines, medicines, etc. How about the deli that sells breakfasts, soups, sandwiches, and meals heavy on the Polish stuff like kielbasa and golumpkis, plus sandwiches, and of course the pierogies. For lunch today I had a cup of the cabbage soup($ 2.59) that was terrific– loaded with cabbage of course, but I didn’t expect the plentiful amounts of ground meat and diced kielbasa. It was thick and flavorful and delicious. I also had a # 8 Sandwich, the Poniatowski’s Rebellion– thick with Ham & turkey breast, cheese, lettuce, dill pickle, mayo & honey mustard on roll for $ 5.49, plus a bag of chips ! The food was great, the service was friendly and charming, the store is very entertaining to walk through and browse the Polish goods and Polish newspapers and magazines. A great way to spend a lunch hour. Yay! I’m a fan.
