I love the chicken penne a la vodka and the portions. No doubt that this place knows how to cook. My only complaint, but it’s a huge complaint, is that every time I walk in the door to this place, I get stares from the staff and customers from the bar. It might be a Long Island cultural thing to stare at people, but it doesn’t make me feel welcomed in there. This happens every time I go there.
When I walk in to pick up my order, I’m usually greeted by a tough guy, (wannabe mob guy) who asks if they can help me, in the most arrogant and unwelcoming tone I have ever experienced anywhere.

Amazing! Have to be honest, wasn’t expecting anything fantastic with family style but the food and the service were beyond our expectations. We have been here twice and can not wait to come back. Attentive, professional staff who help you order just the right amount. Family friendly for sure. The quality of the food was superb– pasta, fish, chicken, everything!
A little fun fact… ordered the penne a la vodka and since someone at the table was a vegetarian we asked to have it without prosciutto which was easily accommodated (prove me wrong but my first thought was, ok everything is made fresh).
Prices are very reasonable for the portions and the quality.

Great little Italian place in a quiet strip mall. Service was very good and attentive. The restaurant could use some updating but ignoring this you will find that the food and company are quite good.

We ordered take out from here the other day. The penne with broccoli Rabe was good although I wished there was a lot more broccoli Rabe in it because I enjoyed eating it.
We also got the seafood pasta, calamari, baked ziti, garlic bread, mussels and the bruchetta. Granted take out never does food justice I thought the food was pretty good. I’m sure it would have tasted a thousand of times better there.
The portions were huge. I think my 2 favorite items were the bruchetta that I put on top of the garlic bread (garlic bread ordered separately) and the mussels. I’m so not a mussel person but the mussels tasted awesome with their sauce.

Quiet, causal atmosphere and good food.
Great for large gatherings, as it is a family-​style restaurant. The staff is very attentive and friendly (and they make sure your wine glass is always full!).
The seafood tasted fresh, the sauces flavorful, and the desserts were delicious as well. Authentic Italian — in taste and portions.

Get there before 7 so you can be accommodated quickly. Ask for Allison she is amazing and takes good care of you. Penne a la vodka is to die for.

One word. Phenomenal. It was a family outing. They sat 8 of us with no problem. Clean, super friendly, funny and courteous wait staff. Briana was our server. She was incredible, so knowledgable about the menu, ingredients, portions to order and even suggested drinks. She encouraged us to get the chicken campagnola more than once and it was unanimously the BEST dish. We also had the fried calamari, Caesar salad, linguini with broccoli in a light red sauce (extra garlic), shrimp parmigiana and chicken Verdi. Being Italian and growing up in a family of homemade marinara sauces — I can confidently say this was one of the best restaurant marinara sauces I have ever tasted. This is our new place, for sure!

We rated a 4 because of the food… The portions were definitely for 2+! We got veal Marsala, chicken sorrentino, and fettuccini with garlic and oil. We needed to ask for more bread just to sop up the delicious sauce. It was a family outing so the ambience was ok– but if it was a date I would’ve been disappointed. Overall– good wine, good food, good service…

We’ve been coming to La Villini for years, and have had birthday parties and big ol’ family dinners during those years. Very good, authentic Italian food, big family portions and a nice atmosphere. Sometimes some live music pops up, an accordion player singing the classics usually which is always fun stuff, especially if you know all the old songs! Can get pretty loud in here at times, but then again in a room full of Italian families you can’t ever expect it to be quiet! Even when it’s just my family it gets pretty loud! So maybe not the best place for a romantic date, but if you want some really delicious, authentic Italian cuisine with the family, pop into La Villini. PS, the ravioli is a must, very fresh and tasty!

The best Italian food around. A mini Carmine’s if you know what that is you’ll eat here. Never a bad meal authentic Italian food at a reasonable price. Wait staff is top notch, ask for Pepe you’ll never go hungry.

Italian family style– you need a big family to eat it though!
This place is consistently packed with people who enjoy some excellent Italian.
The portions are massive– they claim each order feeds 2 people but certainly they must have been testing this portion size on two very large people. Or convicts.
One order will feed you all, trust me. If everyone orders their own, then you will have lunch, dinner and lunch again on the leftovers.
The food itself is fabulous and the servers are incredible — they are there just when you need them and always pleasant.
The bar is also hopping as the place gets filled up with hungry people.
Decent wines by the glass and average prices.
