The location and the name has something to be desired and honestly I would not have even tried it had it not been for a coworker and these reviews. This place is great, the interior could use some work — I like the wood treatment near the door and bar and the rest could use the same. The food was fantastic, my wife and I both enjoyed our sushi rolls and our son, who is a bit of a picky eat, ate up this teriyaki and rice bowl. I will definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone who enjoys well prepared and creatively delicious sushi rolls.

Hands down the best in the area! I drive almost 20 minutes to get here because there is nothing that compares in Monroe and I’ve been to them all. They obviously take great pride in their ingredients.

Sadly its 50⁄50 hit and miss. 1st time I came here, it was very good and I was going to bring a new comer to sushi to try some for the 1st time. and time I came here, the tuna was just awful and I couldn’t finish eating it. I politely tried to explain the problem, but they wanted me to pay anyways. Not sure I will be back for the sushi again.

What a find. A strip mall joint that calls itself Best Teriyaki… evokes low expectations, but if you’re looking for decent sushi in the valley no one compares. And the fish portions are far closer to what I’ve seen in Japan — generous. The sushi chef and his apprentice REALLY care, and the selection of seafood reflects their dedication to quality. This also means that if you are seeking the more rare varieties, such as uni, toro or geoduck they ask that you call 2 – 3 days a head to allow them to special order. I can’t say much about the entrees — my wife and I have yet to get past the sashimi, nigiri and rolls — but if they apply half the standards that they do to the sushi you can’t go wrong.

Mongolian beef with fried rice for lunch was excellent. However I was a little surprised when I found out it was $ 17 plus tip… I could have gotten to raw meals around the corner which is way healthier, but I didn’t want to spend the money on the raw food. Now I know to go there.

I am not a sushi person, but my daughter asked me to take her to Best Teriyaki Sushi for dinner on Friday night to try something new. Normally I play it safe when ordering at a sushi restaurant: tempura, noodles, vegetable roll, etc. This time my adventurous daughter talked me into trying one of the rolls topped with eel and sauce. Delicious! We ended up trying three different items off of the sushi menu.(The heart attack was my favorite) We also ordered more basic teriyaki and fried rice to take home for the rest of the family. Everything was fantastic.

We’ve tried this place three times, about 2 months apart each visit. I really wanted to like this, as Japanese food is my favorite and it’s the only option in town, but the service & price made it not an option. First time we went, despite being very quiet & not busy, our food came out in such a stagger that two people finished their meals before the final was even served. That was with them eating slowly, but their food was hot so it didn’t make sense to wait for the final patron to receive theirs, as their meals would have been cold by then. And, what we were waiting for was a single sushi roll which shouldn’t have taken that long. The second time, we had a similar experience in the sushi taking forever, despite the fact that there was a sushi chef standing their and everyone else in the restaurant was getting Teriyaki, prepared in the kitchen. When it finally did arrive, the food tasted good but was expensive for what it was. Our final visit, we were told after sitting down that they were out of rice so no sushi tonight. Really? It’s called Best Sushi! Needless to say we went elsewhere. Too bad there’s no sushi option in Duvall! We laugh every time we drive by and see the sign, claiming it’s «The Best!». Whomp whomp.

Easily the best sushi I’ve had in Seattle… Strange I know all the way out in Duvall but they have amazing sushi. They have a program where the Sushi chef rotates every 7 months so you get a new chef with new ideas and specials every year and they are all amazing. My favorite is the Mexican Roll cuz it has Jalapeños but really they can dress up any roll you want. Recently, I tried the Red Crunch Roll and the Super Star Roll they are Devine… the wait staff is super friendly and obviously respect reviews because they stopped playing straight Christian Music on the radio and spruced up the place a bit! Bottom Line you want great Sushi come here it’s fresh and fantastic and unlike other Duvall restaurants the wait staff is attentive and appreciative of you spending your money in their restaurant.

My sister and I took a drive to the ‘boonies’ of Duvall. Not only did we enjoy the two antique stores across the street, we were pleasantly surprised with this place. We ordered tempura shrimp to start and we were surprised by the generous amount and crispiness of the tempura. I’m craving it just thinking about it! We enjoyed the Rainbow Roll and wish we had more room to try their other stuff. The restaurant staff were so friendly and nice. Next time I return to Seattle, I’ll just have to go to the ‘boonies’ for antiques and sushi.

By far my favorite place to eat sushi! It’s always fresh and yummy. The Superstar Roll & Red Crunch Roll are some of my favorites. They are always suggesting new things to try and pride themselves on presentation and delivery, making it hard to want to eat as its so pretty! If sushi isn’t your thing, don’t worry! They have all kinds of teriyaki, yakisoba and Chinese food to choose from. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant is kid friendly. Definitely worth a try even if you don’t live here in Duvall.

I love there food, but when you come in to make an order at 7:00pm for sushi and they tell you, «sorry we are closed too busy»! That’s the 3 rd time this has happen! They lost our business! How can a small business turn away customers, no matter how busy you are, which the restaurant wasn’t even busy! They need to either hire more help or manage their time better! They lost out on a big order too…

Still the best sushi, and still my favorite after 8 years(coming from a Hawai’i girl, you should take my word for it.) The kids love the teriyaki bowls too.

We eat here a lot. Our go to is the chicken teriyaki bento box that comes with shrimp tempura and gyoza. Very casual and friendly people. Don’t miss out because it’s in a strip type area, give them a try!

A couple of years ago I would have happily given them 4 stars, unfortunately the quality of the sushi is consistently going down while prices go up. Just waited over an hour for a decent sized to go order and the only halfway decent nigiri was the yellowtail. Such a shame to see the only nearby sushi spot fall off in quality.

Very disappointed with my experience here. Service was bad. Prices were very high for sushi — $ 15.95 for a roll? Are they serious? A crab roll was almost $ 6, and we are talking fake crab. Cucumber salad — $ 6. I told them no rice, they brought me rice. No offer of salad or anything to replace the rice. Plating was boring — for the price you would think they would use a garnish or two. Nope, just food sloshed onto a plate. Had to ask the serving girl for water, then had to ask her again for a refill. Absolutely no attention was given to us. After we got our food, she never came back to ask us how it was. The teriyaki sauce was aweful. And my meat was cold. I took both mine and my daughter’s home, and my plan is to rinse off the sauce and make stir fried rice with the chicken. The honey garlic chicken was good, and the shrimp tempura was a good size. Can’t say I will bother returning here, they obviously don’t care. Oh, and maybe only one other person was in the place — we were there at 4:30 p.m. — no excuse of being«busy».

Who knew you could find awesome sushi here in Duvall? You can! Not big on ambiance(inside or out), but the sushi and the service is worth it. We had the Hakka Hakka roll… delicious! Great flavors with a hint of spice. Came on a flaming dish. Fun!
