Their food and bars are still carried in Whole Foods and other local eateries, but missed out on visiting the restaurant before they decided to move away from a brick and mortar operation. Let’s hope they are still doing the food truck ;)

TRF is delicious! The owners are the nicest people and they make really wonderful foods. And the prices are really good, knowing that they use high-quality ingredients.

ASGOODASITGETSINTHISMARKET. I ate their meals exclusively nearing the end of my year in raw food. The food is amazing! Never met Matthew but Jane is wonderful. They were the great find in my journey to optimum health, naturally.

SOHEALTHY! This food makes you feel good as you eat it, and it fills you up because it is all real food– no filler. Absolutely yummy– whenever my friends see me eating this, they want it. It is a fav for me also because I can be served quickly off their truck and soon, surely, their CAFE! Jane and Matthew are wonderful people with whom to do business, so the whole experience is a feel-good one. Try TRF!

I’m thrilled the Triangle has TRF. It’s nice to have a place dedicated to raw, vegan, healthy food. They do not disappoint– they have a diverse menu, the prices are reasonable, and the food tastes great. The food is deceptively filling as well. I did the pick-up option at their Durham location with some friends, and I recommend this. Everyone can try something new, it’s healthy, and you’re supporting a great local business. I also hope more Whole Foods stores sell TRF dishes at their stores!

We order food from Triangle Raw Foods every week or two, and it’s always an amazing experience. My favorites are the Tu-not Rolls, the«cheezy» broccoli, and anything with pesto. PLUS, their hemp protein chocolate bars are life changing. Also, kudos for founding a food company that offers local, organic, gluten free, vegan and completely raw food in such a creative and tasty way. The world needs more restaurants like TRF.

Creative, healthy dishes with lots of flavor and good texture. I would love to get the weekly delivery but it’s just too expensive. So, I’ll content myself with having a great meal from TRF every Wednesday when they come to Durham. Even if you’re not a veggie, you’ll be happy if you try TRF. It’s a gourmet experience!

We found this truck downtown Raleigh and the food was delicious. The time to prepare raw food is really incredible and to have someone else do it is a gift. I felt so good eating. It really makes you happy just trying the food. Yay for raw food. I invited the owners on my business internet show called The Scope of Things Mon 5⁄147PMEST then channels then the scope. Tune in and learn more.

We happened upon them at the RTP Food Truck Rodeo. We shared the pad thai, based on their recommendation on what to try first. I was impressed with the flavors and variety right there in one small package. They have it all well presented and delivered. It is cold, which was a little surprise, but it was good. My only complaint was price. At $ 7 it was a little high. Still, I’d give them another pass and try something else next time. It was that good.

Thank goodness for a radically healthy and different food truck option! Delicious raw foods for those that are too busy to devote much time to experimenting with this type of diet. Makes a wonderful addition to a healthy lifestyle. As an Oregon hippie, I am so glad that we have this addition to the Triangle food scene, which is growing in hipster-burger joints but is still relatively weak in vegan/vegetarian options. The menu is dynamic and creative, and the owners are just about the loveliest people you’ll ever meet! Everything is pre-made but still fresh, so you avoid a long wait. And it’s seriously GOOD food. I encourage you to be adventurous if you’ve never tried raw foods!

Despite my low rating, I don’t actually disagree with the positive reviewers. However, for me, as someone who really does like vegetables but doesn’t go out of his way for«raw» or «vegan» or «gluten-free», I can’t give this more than 2 stars. Positives: + Very friendly owners + Dishes we got were tasty + Presentation was good Negative(really only one): — Price. I got a small sweet potato«noodle» dish that cost $ 6. Although tasty(kind of like a spicy carrot salad– I won’t go so far as to say«delicious”– just tasty), it did not remotely satisfy my hunger, I ended up going immediately afterwards to get a full meal at Chubby’s, which cost $ 5. I specifically picked the sweet potato dish thinking it would be among the more filling of the options, too. My friend got blueberry tarts. There were 2 and the size of two small cookies, and cost $ 5. Hence, $ 2.50 per cookie. His opinion on taste was similar to mine– just«tasty.» I really do admire what these folks are doing. I don’t fault anyone for going there, as I’m sure the product is very healthy. I know some of the ingredients are probably expensive. But man, getting a filling lunch here would cost me ~$ 12 – 15, and it’s takeout. I liked what I got, but at least for me personally, given the small portions, I can’t justify spending money here on lunch. I’d happily go back if prices dropped by a third or more.

I’m a week-and-a-half into my foray with the Raw Foodists weekly deliveries, and I have to up my rating. The weekly menu is posted to the website, along with photos so you can see exactly what you’ll be getting. You can also swap an item you don’t want, and double another item. Single orders are $ 70, and that includes 4 days’ worth of prepared food(for me) and delivery. It’s no secret that I’ve been smitten with this food truck’s desserts. But the entrees had been a little hit-or-miss with me. I’m new to raw food, and not even a vegetarian. So I’m a hard sell. What the weekly deliveries have done is open my eyes to a much broader array of raw cuisine — and I am not only impressed with the inventive types of dishes arriving at my door(tu-not salad, raw ‘burritos’, saag!); but also with the surprising amount of flavor they pack. I started to read a little more about raw food, and found that preparation(particularly for these gourmet dishes) is no joke… sprouting beans… using a dehydrator… Hell, I don’t even like cooking stovetop! Considering all of this, the food is reasonably priced. Now for the bonus — since incorporating raw food regularly into my diet, I’ve noticed I have more energy. I also tend to stay fuller longer. I’m not going whole hog — er – cucumber; but I definitely recommend a healthy dose of the Raw Foodist’s goodness!

Triangle Raw Foodists was the first business to introduce me to the tastier side of raw foods. I’m not even a vegetarian, but I still enjoy their raw food menu. There are usually 4 – 6 food choices(including desserts) on the menu. They use local ingredients and find interesting and sometimes unconventional combinations. A couple of my favorites have been an Asian-inspired seaweed noodle dish with bak choy and a bell pepper stuffed with cauliflower and other ingredients. Another notable favorite was a salad with basil pesto. Prices are a little high and it can get expensive for a full lunch. I think much of the cost comes from some of the more«exotic» ingredients that go into to the dishes so its hard to fault them for the price. I’ve always purchased the food that they serve from their van while parked at Ad Spice on Wednesday. There’s a little sitting area and table beside Ad Spice where you can eat your food. My wife also told me that they have a larger menu for delivery orders but we haven’t tried that. The couple that prepares and sells the food are very friendly. They do accept credit cards via a card reader attached to their iPhone(very cool use of technology). And have even accepted an IOU when I came without cash and the card reader was down. Good people!

Okay, I’m normally not a Unilocaler but after the deliciousness of my lunch I immediately had to post a review. Our office schedules various food trucks(who knew there were so many BBQ trucks!) and after multiple requests they finally broke down and scheduled a healthy, vegetarian friendly one! Being adventurous(and hungry) I went a little crazy and ordered one of just about everything they offered. The«cheesy» broccoli was amazing with perfect crispness to the vegetables. It seriously tasted like they had mixed it with garlicky pimento cheese… yummm. The Tu-not(tuna salad alternative) was delicious with right amount of zesty seasoning and was very filling. The Beet Bowl was perfect palette cleansing way to end and who knew capers, lemon juice and avocado were so well suited to balance the earthiness of the beets. And, of course I had to end with the chocolate tart given previous reviewers comment — Delicious! Truth is… I went back and bought second round for dinner.

First: check out the documentary«Food Matters.» That film might persuade you that you need to be eating more raw fruits and vegetables than you are now. Then spend a little time with the makers of «The Vanishing of the Bees,» who have thoroughly and painstakingly documented the harmful effects of systemic pesticides. While you’re at it you might want to check out the correlation between eating animals and developing heart disease, which two heart surgeons have recorded in «Forks Over Knives.» Now: run, don’t drive, to the Triangle Raw Foodists truck in Durham on Wednesday, between noon and 3PM. Sample their delectable and quite eclectic and imaginative raw menu. You’ll find it easy and surprisingly affordable, to improve your health. And, if you have preconceived ideas of what«raw» food is, but have never tried a real raw restaurant, be prepared to have your bias shattered. Next thing you know, you’ll be emailing Jane and Matt, ordering their weekly menu, then waiting by your front door. My girlfriend and I got hooked on raw food after spending several months in California, sampling the cuisine of raw food pioneers like Matt Amsden, author of RAWvolution, and founder of the ELR café in Santa Monica. WHOKNEW that«raw» food could include bread, hummus, cheesecake, burgers, etc? Don’t let the names fool you: it’s all raw, all organic, all non-dairy, all vegetarian. And it’s all GOODFORYOU. O, and there’s one more thing: it’s all DELICIOUS. So we were a bit depressed when we had to move back to the Triangle, after having jumped into the rawvolution with enthusiasm and with both feet. Raw food restaurants in Chapel Hill? Um, none that I know of. Bummer. But then we discovered Triangle Raw Foodists’ Volkswagen Beetle, sitting in our driveway. Inside? A wild variety of scrumptious, lovingly prepared raw food, in compostable containers, and delivered right to our door — every bit as imaginative as what we sampled in Southern California. And for less money, I might add. Give TRF a try. I guarantee: you’ll be pleasantly surprised. We’ll be devotees as long as we live in the Triangle — and as long as Jane and Matt stay as dedicated to our health, and to the health of the planet, as they are now.
