Originally my family wanted to drive straight from Orlando, to our home in New York. but seeing that it wasn’t quite possible– we decided to look for a fairly cheap, but still clean hotel in the area. This hotel was fair for the price. We arrived here later in the night, around 10pm and let me tell you. the roads to get here were pretty creepy! There are no street lights and everything was pitch black, though I’ve grown to kind of accept this is common for less condensed cities. Although it was a scary way getting here, I found that this hotel/inn was located on a popular street full of street lights and big buildings! Walking into the front desk, I found that this place was pretty clean. I think it has been recently renovated. We were able to get a room on the first floor, for the first time during my trip! The beds were definitely used(as in, the middle of the bed was dented in from years of use). and the bed sheets were randomly stained as well. But. since we were just staying here for one night, it wasn’t a huge deal. There was no bath tub, only a shower. The breakfast was not bad. Canadian bacon, eggs, potatoes, cereal. all the usual. The staff was friendly as we checked out. Wasn’t a stellar experience but nothing really to complain about either.

Mattress needs updating… And breakfast is inconsistently staffed and replenished. Convenient location to the airport. Room was clean.

While staying in a nearby state(originally from Southern California) I searched online for a decently priced hotel near the airport. I am happy that I opted for the middle range of the competing prices and landed on the Sleep Inn, Durham. I booked my reservation over the phone, and it went smoothly. The next night, we arrived to a clean, well lit hotel on the corner just off the highway(?). The front desk person was kind and directed us to our room. Our room was nice and clean & the bed was of good size. We also had free WiFi! We ended up extending our stay(which was hassle free) because we didn’t catch our plane. We used the FREE airport shuttle(taxi Van) that the hotel Provided several times. It made our travels to and from the airport extremely smooth and worry free. The complimentary breakfast had several options including biscuits & gravy, cereal, yogurt, meats, eggs, waffles etc. Since we missed our flight & our bags were already enroute across the country we called the front desk for a couple hygiene items. The front desk provided us with a bag full of necessary items and we appreciate them for that! I would HIGHLY recommend the Sleep Inn Durham to others. I believe the price is fair for a clean, convenient and polite serving hotel.

I was going to stay here for just a night since it’s close to the airport– but since the man on the phone was a complete asshole I booked somewhere else.

The second morning that I woke up in my room, I found two large roaches crawling around the ceiling. I rushed to the door, and one fell and nearly landed on my face! When I complained to the front desk, they sent someone up to my room in hushed tones who took care of it — and I didn’t see another roach that week but I was certainly sleeping in fear the following nights. At first glance, this hotel was okay: there was free breakfast, the room was a nice size, and it was very close to my business needs. If it weren’t for the roaches, this would have been a great experience.

If there had been a hot breakfast this morning I would have given them 5 stars. It was 9am and they only had muffins, cereal, and yogurt… The room was clean, check in/out was fast, and the shower had great pressure. The shower was also a good height(I am 6’3″) because many hotels have nozzles designed for people that are tiny. Great prices and only 2 min from shops and food on Page road.

The rooms are pretty good. Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage for hot breakfast.

I stayed here the evening of February 10th into the morning of the 11th. Hotel was a nice looking building and the free breakfast they offered the next morning was pretty good too. Unfortunately they didn’t have like eggs or sausage available. The room was very nice. However we asked for a non-smoking room, and we were placed in one, but it smelled like smoke inside it. We did tell the desk clerk but that was about it. We learned to live with it for the evening. Other then that, we were happy with this location.
