Staff is always friendly! Always clean. Beats the heck out of the other chicken place. Much betterfood for about the same price. Brown shoe day is great — I’ve stumbled upon it twice.

I bought the 3 piece meal and it came out to 7.84. Quality is definitely there, their sauces are very good and plenty of options. The chicken was really good but they are small. The fries look like McDonald’s fries but taste much better, they give you quite a few too to make up for the smaller chicken I guess? Overall they have good quality food but at the price point I couldn’t justify going here over the nearby Bojangles and Cookout where you can get comparable quality for cheaper

A great choice. We had tenders and fries. Both were very fresh tasting and seasoned well. Loved the menus being in front of register. The open concept of kitchen was amazing setup. Great customer service. Spoke with someone to ask about other locations and just general information. She was very well informed and kept her own list of where people were visiting from to pass along to those in charge. That is definitely a great team player. We also loved having a sink to wash our hands outside of the actual restroom.

I went to PDQ for a Unilocal event, not knowing what to expect. They certainly deliver on the name(People Dedicated to Quality) and it seems like everyone on staff is very passionate about the message and very engaged in good customer service. Overall, I really enjoyed all of the house made sauces and different chicken options. It’s definitely a great place to take the family when you’re short on time and still want something that tastes great.

Thoroughly impressed with PDQ. I’ve driven by it a few dozen times but never stopped in until today. The interior(and exterior) of the store looks fantastic. Modern and homey at the same time. Lots of green. I ordered the honey mustard chicken nugget 8 count with the slaw. The gentleman taking my order was courteous and knowledgable. I sat down and about 5 minutes later my order was ready. I tried some slaw first which was disappointing. The blueberries were the saving grace of an otherwise mediocre slaw. The chicken nuggets, on the other hand, were fantastic. They’re pretty small but delicious. Not too much breading and they seemed like real chicken. Think Chick-fil-a like, not Wendy’s or McDonald’s like. The honey mustard was pretty good as well. They say it’s house made and they have 10 or so options of sauce. I also got a chocolate milkshake to go. It had an odd texture(lumpy almost) but tasted good. I’d get it again. I’ll definitely be back to PDQ in the future. Great stop for some chicken and fast, friendly service.

I ended up here for lunch today, knowing absolutely nothing about the place. I was surprised by the experience. When I asked the young man for recommendations, he was very polite and knowledgable. I opted for a combo-tenders, fries, and a drink. The tenders were amazing! Chicken is not usually my go to, but after today’s experience, I can assure you that I’ll be back ordering more tenders soon! I fell in love with your buffalo blue sauce too, I even dipped my fries in it! Y’all seem to draw a pretty good lunch crowd! Keep up the good food and good service!

Really good food here. The chicken tenders are delicious. Really don’t see how people do not rate this place 4 – 5 stars. You should remember that this place has only fresh food and nothing is frozen. PDQ’s do not have freezers; which is why I love coming here! The grilled chicken salad is also one of my favorites. The dressings are house made and taste so good.

Not a bad chicken joint. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and it had good flavor. I would visit this location again.

My inner child has hankerings for chicken tenders every now and again, but silly me for not checking reviews before stopping here. The chicken tenders here were good, but so tiny. It made me wonder if I had inadvertently ordered a kid’s meal. The blueberry coleslaw was also disappointing. Think KFC-style ‘slaw with 5 partially frozen blueberries on top. The only positive was the friendly employee manning the drive-through.

Chicken tenders were hot and good and so we’re the fries. I had a salad which was huge but the dressing seemed watered down. Maybe the salad was wet? Paid $ 1 more for thee slices of avocado but I’m an avocado lover so I’m game. If u just want tenders, this is a great place to go. Service was pretty darn quick

Cleanest place ever! Employees super helpful and very polite. My salad was fine, but the place itself and atmosphere made me rate high.

I’m not sure what’s happened to PDQ? This was my absolute favorite place, and my husband and I ended up eating lunch there twice a week because it was so good. The last half dozen visits our tenders have been EXTREMELY small. Tonight I had a 5 piece grilled takeout meal with blueberry slaw. One of my «tenders» was only slightly bigger than a nugget. All five were the size of a small chicken breast. My slaw had zero blueberries. I drenched the chicken in sauce and didn’t use a full cup — that’s how small the portion was, but the meal was over $ 10. The tenders also consistently have skin or fat on them, so I end up pulling part of the already small portion off for the garbage. We’ve given them lots of chances, quality has just gone down. I’m still hopeful they will return to what they were when they first opened because that was 5 stars.

Yummy food right off the highway! Tenders were perfectly breaded and nicely crisp. Very tasty! Staff was friendly and all smiles which is pretty rare now a days. Sit down area was clean, open and the size of the tables vary perfect for all party sizes. Will definitely catch this place again when we head through town!

Other than the chicken tenders being really crunchy and soft, I wasn’t particularly blown away by PDQ. Pros: Staff were friendly Chicken tenders were yummy Clean and very spacious dining area Soda dispenser is from the future Cons: Drive through menu is BEFORE the window where you order. Why is that weird? Because you have to then the corner to order, and by the time you get there, you have to know what you want. No changing your mind. Food was overpriced — $ 7 for three tenders, fries and a soda. The music is blaring loud Basic salad was overpriced and pretty bland In general, PDQ is pretty ordinary. Good if you’re hungry, but not one of my top choices for fast food.

So I stopped by with a buddy because I’d heard this place has good chicken. I ended up getting the Turkey sandwich, which was pretty freaking good, and impressive in a lot of aspects, especially considering it was less than $ 5 after tax. I have no idea what some reviewers are complaining about in terms of prices. If McDonald’s served a similar turkey sandwich, I’m absolutely sure it would cost more. Well yeah, a sandwich combo runs like $ 8 but so does most sandwiches at fast food places, except this place has much better quality ingredients. The sandwich came out like it was about to be photoshot for an ad, the lettuce was whole-leaf instead of shredded, which is a plus in my book, and it was like someone cut the edges so that I get the same amount of lettuce in every bite. The bun was buttered and toasted, and my sandwich had a slice of cranberry jelly in it, which got rid of my need for sauce. Overall a good sandwich, yeah, it’s not as good as say, the turkey avocado from Sandwich on Franklin, but it costs less than half the price, it is a fantastic deal. Service was friendly and exact. We went in at 11 something AM so it wasn’t too busy, but the manager/head cook(not sure what he actually was) came to the table with every single sauce they had for us to try. Some were really good and some were just standard, the horseradish sauce was the best. I’m gonna be back to try the chicken in the future, and hopefully the price/food and service stay top-notch.

Oh my god, Durham finally got a new fast food chain restaurant! –Pros– –Tasty chicken, nicely breaded –Super friendly staff(we’ll see how they are in 6 months. lol) right now they’re like Disney-quality friendly. –Variety of sauces are amazing. think buns in chapel hill but you don’t have to pay extra to try these! –Great seating, really great for groups or families –the white guy in black glasses that calls out orders to pick up wearing chef outfit looks like Paul Banks from the band Interpol. Holllla –milkshakes are GOOD… and have giant straws! –Cons– –fries are greasy and meh. –coke freestyle machines. sorry but classic machine almost always tastes better(if you’re a coke snob) –prices are a little high but not terribly high –chicken tenders good but had some fatty parts I will be back… but may not put it in food rotation… definitely a good alternative when Chickfila isn’t open on Sunday !

«Pricey and Disappointing in Quantity»(PDQ) Amidst the recent surge in chicken places, PDQ has arrived across 15 – 501 from Red Robin and near the Home Depot and Five Guys. Tried this yesterday for lunch with some friends. The four-piece chicken strip meal was $ 8.91 with tax, and was not a huge amount of food. The chicken itself was good quality in that it was clearly breast meat(though unusually long & thin as strips), but seemed very greasy under the breading. They did have some interesting sauces for dipping, though: I liked the«Sweet Heat». The fries were fine– better than some places, but not awesome. They did have two of those CocaCola mixer machines, but those are becoming rather common now. Food preparation was VERY fast and reasonably friendly, and a server both checked on us after we ate as well as taking away our dirty plates. Environment was VERY loud, but that may not be normal– there were a ton of kids there– perhaps a school field trip. Overall, if it were a few dollars cheaper, I’d be very enthusiastic. However, I can’t see why I’d go there over Zaxby’s(which is very similar yet cheaper) or maybe even Chick-Fil-A. Hence, I fear I have to give only 2-stars.

OMG so awesome! So basically it’s like an updated chick fil a: they do chicken strips, sandwiches, and salads. All fresh, reasonable prices(my sandwich, fries and a lemonade was $ 8) and cheerful service make this a WINNER!(You order at the front and wait for your name to be called to pick up your food, however after you’re seated the PDQ workers mill around and ask if you need anything from time to time(refills etc) I like that the kitchen is open to the dining area you can see everybody working. The lemonade is made fresh(one girl’s only job is to squeeze lemons!) Now the food — fries are awesome with skins on, the fried chicken burger was fresh and yummy(I had to add salt though) and the lemonade was da bomb(free refills on the lemonade but you have to ask.) They also have 2 freestyle coke machines(I got a diet coke orange(!!!) to go) I’m trying to think of something bad to say but I really can’t. I had it for lunch today and we are seriously contemplating having it for dinner as well. Yay, PDQ!
