this is pretty much a last option for me, i don’t like the style pizza and the sauce is flavorless (someone else said sweet — it is, so i equate that with not ‘real’, not in my taste). They state online they use local and fresh ingredients when possible but something isn’t adding up, flavors just aren’t good — i think it’s sweetness…
There service is good and people seem nice.

The bruschetta pizza is so good! Coming from a New York pizza critic. And the service was phenomenal, such friendly staff.

I work down the block and was glad to find another lunch option in the casual eating wasteland that is Raleigh Road. (Jujube and Elements are great but how often can you go there?) But the pizza here is meh and definitely not deserving of its current 4.5 star average rating. The sauce was anodyne and way oversweet. Take the sugar down by a lot, chef. A small mushroom pizza came with exactly 4 small slices of mushroom. It looked sad and not generous. And the crust was bready and too soft, no crispness, like you find in chain pizza restaurants. Unfortunately it was also soggy — the sauce and cheese soaked it through and it stuck to the bottom of the box. This place holds promise if they can fix their recipes. But a pizza place needs to have good pizza, and right now they just don’t.

Yummmmmyyyy! The chicken Caesar salad and cheesy bread were phenomenal. The large salad is big. I ate it all day! I can’t wait to go back and try the pizza

Pace is very clean. Food is great! We had wings, nice big wings. I ordered a side of hot glad I did cause it does have some kick. We also ordered the loaded potato pizza and a half pepperoni and half artichoke and spinach. Absolutely delicious. We were greeted by a very helpful and young woman behind the counter. If you are in the area I would most certainly check this place out! A+ guys

It was our first time here. We went there for takeout and ordered a pizza, wings and a Greek salad. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. The pizza was great with delicious sauce and a variety of topping options. The wings and salad were a nice compliment and I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a good bite in the area.

Great pizza! Always very fast and fresh. I love all the specialty options too. If you’re not in the mood for pizza, the wings and subs are awesome! Brenz has become my go to pizza place!

Grabbed take out after work for a quick meal. Overall good experience. Service was good and food was quick.
For the food itself the best part was definitely the wings. Would give those 5 stars alone. They were good sized and meaty. Not too much breading and the hot flavor was genuinely spicey. Could be great for tailgating on the weekends.
The review however was brought down because of the roasted chicken sub. Was super bland and had no flavor, and the sauce on it was a weird cream cheese that didn’t fit. The ingredients were fresh however but I only finished it because I was starving.
Would be back but would try a pizza next time (and obviously wings) and may consider a higher rating!

I have been waiting a while to write this review. Brenz Pizza is the best pizza in town hands down. Not only is their pizza delicious, but their customer service is amazing. Everyone from the people in the restaurant to the delivery people are wonderful. I’ve been going once every week or two since they opened in July. The Brenz White and The Heater are my favorites. The meatball sub is delicious too and I love the Cinabrenz. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this establishment.

Amazing pizza! You must try the Tres Amigos pizza! I wish this place was close to my house in Raleigh…

The pizza’s not bad, but pass on the breadsticks. It’s literally just their pizza crust with not a whole lot of garlic butter and a little Parmesan. They were bone dry. I guess they don’t have my fave pizza crust either, and I’m the kind who always eats the crust and think people who leave the «bones» on the plate are weird. Which isn’t to say that I threw out the crusts, but I didn’t bother finishing those breadsticks.

Ordered 2 pizza’s — All The Meats and The Classic
–Pizza dough very rubbery and soft. Also under cooked.
–Then all the fats and liquids soaked up in the dough. Made it a very heavy crust.
–Sauce was way over sweet, lack of tomato flavor and very run-​of-​the mill.
–There is some weird mixed pizza seasoning that were on both pizzas — I think its a mix of oregano, Parmesan and ground sesame something you find on cheap pizzas except these were not cheap.
–Pizza reminds me of Papa Johns.

Great pizza for family dinner and cinnamon knots for dessert! Clean inside, delicious food, great service! We’ll go again!

Not sure why I haven’t tried this place sooner. Great service, pizza, and subs. I would recommend this place to anyone. Good vegetarian options too!
Update: consistently tasty, even late on a Sunday night.

Awesome new pizza place! Everything on their menu is well priced and looks delicious! I ordered a half order of cheesy breadsticks (which I shared with a friend) and a large Caesar salad for takeout. It was a very filling lunch. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

I have to agree with everyone else at this point. The pizza was great. We ordered the equivalent of the meat lovers, and it came loaded with toppings. In addition, the service was good and the pizza came out quick. The inside seating is limited, as it seems it is more designed as a delivery or take out place. We sat inside and ate, it was a good atmosphere. I loved the use of silver metal and plain white walls. Very trendy. I will definitely be back!

my coworker and I called in a pick up order from brenz for lunch. The guy on the phone was very nice and detailed. The pickup time was quick (about 15 min). When we arrived to pick up our food, we were greeted by a woman behind the counter with a kind smile and friendly attitude. She quickly grabbed our food and had it ready to go.
The food was very good! My coworker ordered the cheesy breadsticks and the turkey BLT sub. I tasted a cheesy breadstick and it may be some of the best I’ve ever had. Her sub appeared to have very generous portions. I ordered Grecian goat personal pizza. It was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. In addition to the delicious food, the prices are really reasonable compared with other nearby eateries. Also, I noticed their sanitation rating is 100% which is good to know :) way to go brenz, and welcome to chapel hill!

Great new pizza place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. First off, let me say that there are many pizza places in the Chapel Hill area to choose from, so when we first saw Brenz, we weren’t really sure if we should venture in, but I’m so glad we did. At first we thought it was a take-​out only place, but were happily surprised that they also have seating available, with window seats and two television screens to catch up on news and/​or sports updates.
We asked, and did find out that they do deliver within a 5 mile radius, so that’s a great option as well. Plus, the pizza is absolutely delicious. They have personal pizzas that are smaller in size, and they also have the usual larger sized pizzas for groups, and salads as well. We especially liked that they cooked our pizza to our liking when we asked them to make it extra crispy, and the toppings were really fresh and delicious. Great sauce too.
Located within the East 54 Chapel Hill urban village, parking is available right outside the front entrance in the village’s own private lot or you can park in the parking garage.
We are really happy that Brenz is here, and we hope they will be here for a very long time to come. The pizza is definitely worth it.

Good pizza, very clean and friendly staff. Got a pizza while staying at the nearby Aloft. Large pizza with pepperoni and caramelized onion. The pizza is more European style (thin crust, fresh herbs), pepperoni was great (plentiful and crispy) and the onions were also perfect. It’s not New York style and I won’t try to compare the two. Also, a lot of interesting pizza options but went pretty basic to keep the family happy. You can even order personal pizzas, so everyone can have what they want.
The pizza was probably four stars but the server was very nice and the place was very clean and shiny, moving it up to 5.
