I have been going here for 2 years and I think it’s my first checkin! I absolutely love Angelina, my stylist and the salon manager. My hair always looks gorgeous with what she does with a color and cut. Angelina spends time with her clients really listening and ensuring she understands what we want. I’m always getting compliments after I leave the salon. The whole team at the salon is fun and friendly.

This review is for Vika. She is the most amazing person. She is very nice, makes you feel super comfortable, and always gives you a hug. I started with her at a salon in San Ramon and followed her here. She does such a great job on my hair. I am a natural blonde and she dyes my hair red and it looks so natural, people are shocked when I tell them its dyed. I have always felt insecure and very picky about my hair but she makes me feel so much more confident after I get out of that chair. Thanks love.

I am really dissapointed at this salon. I tried to book online for a simple haircut(a «Clipper Cut») that was labelled as $ 20 online and I booked for a 12pm appointment and I just received a call from the location and she stated that the person that I requested does not«do» Clipper Cuts(how can any stylist NOT do a simple haircut??) and the only person that was at the Salon today that performed Clipper cuts did not work until 3pm. I let her know that I didn’t request anyone but I just wanted a simple trimming of my hair(it’s all one length) and wanted long, sideswept bangs. The girl on the phone said that Angelina could do that but her pricing starts at $ 48! I didn’t want to pay that much for a simple haircut so I asked her what about the $ 20 that I saw online? Apparently different Salon stylists start at different pricing so when you book your appointment online apparently you won’t be guaranteed to get the appointment time that you request and the pricing won’t even be the same depending on the Salon stylist. It’s really time consuming to try to figure out all the finite details for what the pricing starts at per stylist, which stylist is available, which limited type of haircuts the stylist does, and what times are available given that there doesn’t seem to be a set price and a variety of people that can do a SIMPLEFREAKINHAIRCUT! I cancelled my appointment and will take my business elsewhere.

Don’t go to this store! I got my hair highlighted by Samantha. 3 weeks later, the color fade out. I called the store and the girl said she will forward my message to the manager but the manager didn’t even call me back. I paid $ 80 for it, too! Totally ripoff!

My New Year’s resolution is to stop aging! I found my first grey hair recently. Upon further inspection, I was able to tease out«about» 20 grey hairs! Twenty! I may soon have to make an appointment to color my hair. Oh, the horror! I like the convenience. It is easy to make appointments. Late night and weekend slots are available. I’ve scored appointments in the evening after work, early in the week, when the store is mostly empty and there are very few interruptions including phone calls. Ulta has plenty of stylists to choose from. Senior stylists are your best bet while more junior stylists are a crap shoot. Prices are commensurate with experience. I have been to Ulta for«updos» for the last few years’ more formal holiday parties. I’ve also experienced their blow outs. I’ve generally been happy with the results. I haven’t tried Ulta for more permanent results like haircuts or dye jobs. Maybe it’s time for a fake«au naturel» look or a bold, avant-garde ombré?

This is a review for the salon and not for the rest of the store: Typically, I would not go to Ulta to get my hair cut but I came here yesterday to get my bangs trimmed because they were driving me crazy and I had other errands to run in the area. Big mistake on my part. The girl who was my hairstylist did a terrible job and cut them at a weird jagged angle. When I asked her to texturize them to soften up the blunt edges, she ended up cutting them even shorter so now they lay awkwardly right above my eyebrows. I think I could have done a better job drunk and blindfolded. She could tell I wasn’t feeling her shoddy job, so she ended up getting a more experienced person to fix my bangs, but by that time the damage was already done. When I called later that day to speak to a manager, the girl who answered told me she was on holiday until this weekend and that no one else was able to handle my complaint. So upset I came here and mad at myself that I wasted my money. NEVERAGAIN!

This review is only for their salon services, not the products they sell. Salon service is terrible, I’m never coming back here. Talk about nickle and diming. I’d rather just go to a trusted private salon where they don’t want to get you for every little thing. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because I didn’t hate my hair and the stylist was ok, however I didn’t even get everything I wanted done, I just said forget it and did the most basic thing instead of everything I actually came for. But their pricing structure, terrible. And it’s not even accurately matched to what they have displayed. I should have know by going to a corporation to get my hair done. Just overall disappointed.

I was really excited moving to Dublin and finding out we had an Ulta down the street! One of the hardest things about moving is finding a new hairstylist! I dread it and I’m really not hard to please when it comes to hair – I just have the philosohpy that«it’ll grow». I always get ful/parital l highlights or full color depending what I need, and a haircut. I specifically asked for a «seasoned stylist». My first experience was OKAY with color and highlights. I asked my stylist to give me an A-line bob and she flat out said she thinks it’s unattractive and unflattering on all people. What do you say to that? So she suggested just trimming it. Good excuse to cover up that you don’t feel comfortable cutting like that. I give her credit for not trying to do it and messing it up. The color job was good, but when I got home I noticed the«glob» spots underneath. It wasn’t noticble but still a reflection of the quality. I gave the benefit of the doubt and decided I would comeback and request another stylist. After shopping I was told that I earned enough points for a Free Signature Cut. So, I got my color done at antoher salon in town(loved) but held off to just get my free cut back at ULTA. I guess you get what you pay for. My appointment was at 6:15 and I didn’t get called until 7:05pm. No apologies and no introduction at the chair. She took me straight to shampoo bowl. My hair was in a pony so she didn’t even look at it before shampooing. I showed her some pictures of what I wanted –simple A-line bob but with keeping my current length in the front(it was past my shoulders). She agreed to keep it long and throw in some layers. I didn’t say anything because again I thought, ok not what I asked for but basically she’ll keep the length and at worst it would be trimmed. She cut and cut and every 2 – 3 minutes she was answering phone at the desk, answering the other sylist and customers. I truly felt 3rd class – I EARNED loyalty points for being a customer and now I’m not even given attention for a simple haircut that should’ve take 35 minutes. She was so distracted she just kept cutting taking off nearly 3 inches in the back and now my hair is below my chin – on one side and the other side was above my chin. The style is cute but wasn’t anything she described to me as it isn’t long anymore and barely goes into a pony. My haircut appt lasted just short of 2HOURS! I did talk to the manager about how the service/quality was comprimised by her attending to the phone and that I needed one side to be evened out. I went back and got it «fixed». Save your money and loyalty for another salon – unless you want just a trim or want to be a guinea pig for someone. Ulta Salon is just a glamourized Great Clips.

Getting a facial is not cheap and finding the right one is even harder. I reguarly visit my esthetician for a facial at the Ulta in San Jose. Well, I have lost contact with her because I stop going reguarly. She is no longer there! :(. I have been searching for my new esthetician so I decided to give Dublin Ulta Salon a try. She took her time with me and she lets me know what she about to do to my face. She map out my face to see if I was sensitive in any area or any products. Ulta used professional dermalogica products. I love the steam and shoulder massage. I like it but it was still not my esthetician.

Ulta Salon– only has one hair dresser that is THABOMB!!! Her name is Savannah. I really have to say that she is great about cutting hair and really take her time to make sure your happy with it. Its a little on the pricey side. When you say trim she really just trims what you want up. Guarantee you won’t leave crying about how short your hair is. As far as coloring goes, she does a great job, however the type of dye they use never stick to my hair so I’m just not a fan of their coloring line. Ulta Store-Has a great return product never had any issue. If i didn’t like something I returned it. The sales associate try to be as helpful as possible but sometimes they really don’t know what they are taking about as far as product knowledge but I commend them on trying.
