Nice and caring MD but when complication occurred(which can happen to anyone), I felt he mismanaged my postop care, causing me a delay to return to work. I had to seek out a 2nd opinion from another MD who told me That what I was told was incorrect; I needed another surgery. First time I have been disappointed in Palo Alto Med doctors.

Good guy, good doctor. I needed my ingrown toenail taken out, and he did it. Let me listen to music, easy to talk to. If you have a problem with this guy you just have a problem in general lol

I sought out Dr. Bartis for his expertise with athletes, specifically cyclists, as he is an accomplished triathlete. I consider myself to possess an above average knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, and also do quite a bit of research on my own to ensure I am able to have an intelligent dialog with my physician. Though I had to wait about 6 weeks to get in to see him, it was worth the wait. Office staff personnel were friendly and efficient, and despite the fact that I was about 15 minutes late for my appointment(stupid traffic!), I was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival. Dr. Bartis was friendly and patient, and took time to understand my symptoms and provided clear and thorough explanations of the condition and his recommended course of treatments. Thankfully, I can confidently say I’m on a solid path to recovery from my foot ailments. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!

Consulted the first available podiatrist at PAMF Fremont and was assigned Dr Bartis due to a painful foot. Was rushed through appointments with cortisone injections that would exacerbate symptoms(the repeat cortisone injections into the unintended neighboring tendon caused it to rupture and walking became increasingly difficult). After a few more weeks, a MRI was ordered, yet Dr Bartis still did not diagnose the issue or ruptured tendon. Would ultimately make it to Stanford where symptoms were promptly recognized and surgery performed, successfully. The several consultations with Dr Baltis have yielded disappointing results — negligent and reprehensible.
