Stopped by for lunch on Saturday before EASTER with my Mom without a reservation. Was seated right away, even though the dining room was full and a private party was going on in other room. Had the broccoli soup, which was delicious, and the chicken salad. The salad was also delicious and it came with fruit and lemon bread. A complete meal. My Mom had the tomato basil soup, that she really liked and a chicken salad sandwich, which was not on the menu. They were more than happy to honor my Mom’s request. She loved it with lightly toasted chibatta. Would definitely recommend. Our service was great and not rushed. A great place to just stop in and grab an easy, relaxing, lunch! Will try their Victorian tea next time, but do remember to make a reservation for the tea, at least 2 days in advance as it is specially prepared.

Big fan of Biddies. I come her with my mom various times of year. We always enjoy our meals or daily specials. It is a great place for a quiet lunch. The portions are perfect and healthy size. The Cream of Broccoli soup is excellent. Their daily quiche is always tasty and huge. We always get the hot tea and our given our own pot of hot water with various tea bag choices. The pot is larger enough for 3 – 4 servings. They are not one of those horrible small metal things you get at some places. The décor of mix china and quilted tablecloths adds to feeling of stepping back in time to a coach house/hotel.

I have been to Biddie’s a few times with my twin daughters. For the last three or four years we have celebrated their birthday with Victorian Tea at Biddies. This year we suggested Biddie’s as a Girl Scout troop activity. First off, Biddie’s staff are very helpful and accomodating. They really go out of their way to provide a lovely experience. Each table is done with white linen tablecloths. Each place setting has a lovely China plate with a floral print as well as a cup and saucer.(generally unmatching, but that only adds to the charm.) We had two moms and five girls enjoy the tea. Another mom ordered off the regular lunch menu. If the girls did not want to drink tea, they could choose another drink off of the regular menu. One of the girls choose the country punch which I believe is cranberry juice and sprite. For the first course there was a delicious cream of broccoli soup. The girls had the option of choosing mac and cheese instead, but all decided on the soup. The soup came out in little heart shaped bowls. It was very tasty. I don’t think anyone left any in her soup bowl. The second course were tea sandwiches. The children’s sandwiches are more kid friendly, but quite varied. They had PBJ, egg salad, grilled cheese w/apple, and chicken salad in a phyllo cup. The adults also had the egg salad and the chicken salad phyllo cup. In addition, we had a tea sandwich of pimento cheese with ham salad, a cucumber cream cheese sandwich, and a slice of crusty bread(maybe french bread) topped with brie and an apple slice. The third course was the same for girls and moms: a wedge of gouda cheese, some fruits(red grapes, a slice of orange, and a slice of pineapple), and a fresh baked scone. This course was served with strawberry preserves and cream topping to spread on the scones. The fourth and final course was the dessert course. We moms could not finish our desserts and took ours home, but the girls finished theirs. There was a brownie with a caramel swirl and sprinkles of sea salt, a white cake topped with cream & a raspberry, and another little cake with chocolate whipped topping and a candied pecan. Some of the tea items will almost always be part of the tea menu such as the egg salad, chicken salad, fruit, cheese, and scones. Some of the tea sandwiches and desserts vary per week so you can expect a different experience each time. The only thing that is less than perfect is that instead of receiving a pot of tea, you are given a pot of water and a basket of tea bags. This does, however, give you more options in the various types of tea you can have. If you are with a small party, you might receive your own little teapot filled with hot water. This allows you to place your tea bag in your tea pot and brew your own tea. If you are in a larger party, you may have to share a large teapot of water so unless you are all getting the same type of tea, you would need to brew your tea individually per cup. This is not necessarily a bad thing. As I said you have more tea choices this way. The Victorian Tea is pricey, but overall well worth it.

I love this place! My family has been coming here since it first opened. We have hosted many a baby and wedding shower. Many many special lunches with mom and grandma. The food is good and you will walk away with a special memory!

This place is so cute — a friend suggested dining here for lunch for our group(her grandma used to bring her here for tea, how cute). I really dig the adorable vibe with all the frills/lace/quilting. Food though was only okay. I split the tea basket with a friend, so I got to try the chicken salad sandwich, lemon cake, broccoli soup, and some fruit. It tasted fine but did not stand out to me. I was also somewhat disappointed with the tea selection — they were very generic drug store brands, and for $ 3 tea service, I wish the selection included Tazo/Adagio/slightly fancier tea brands. Overall, the food/tea could be better but I liked the service, and the overall experience was positive.

Quish lunch plate with small broccori soup, which tastes pretty good. The quish its self didn’t taste so much, and the amount of the food was not very enough for me.

We had the Victorian Tea and it was delicious. I did expect some what fancier tea, such as whole leaves. There was a good selection tea bags however. The broccoli soup was good. Service great and people friendly.
