Smashburger

There seems to have been a change in management. Not for the better. Miss the old wait staff. There was at least personality there.
Went for lunch today was greeted by a female that hates her job. Even admitted to my husband that she didn’t feel well! (Oh great — we shoulda left then!)
Then I received my (almost) hot burger with a very small portion of fries tossed haphazardly on the side. 5 minutes later husbands burger arrived (not busy lunch rush going on at 11. We were the only patrons waiting for food) his fries were super abundant and in a silver dish. That we know the old staff always used to serve fries. Food was meh. And staff was pathetic.
Won’t be back for a while.

This is the only Smashburger I’ve ever been to. The food was great, but the price tag on the food was a bit high for what we received. There are many other burger places in Utah that deliver this quality for a lower price.

For a premium burger joint, the burgers are less than average. The buns are a little sad, the patty is large, but the fixings really should be more sophisticated if they’re going for that premium quality. My burger was topped with a clumsy flop of lettuce and tomato slices, and the patty and bbq sauce was drowning the buns. I appreciate getting a hefty patty, but I’d prefer a well put together, proportional burger over a big one anytime. Quality over quantity. However, the smash fries, IF you get them fresh, are bomb diggity! It’s the first burger place I’ve found in Utah that serves these skinny type fries.

I always get excited whenever I visit this place. Who doesn’t love a premium hamburger joint where they also serve gourmet type fries and killer shakes? First time I tried their Bufallo spicy fries and it was a winner! I met Thurl Bailey at this location a couple years ago. He said this was his favorite hamburger place. I would have to agree Big T!

I was pleasantly surprised. This was my first time eating at one of these restaurants and the food was really good. The haystacks onions were super thin and crispy and the fries were perfect! I also got a veggie sandwich (basically a burger minus the meat) and it was exactly what I wanted. The staff was very attentive as well and made sure that I was getting exactly what I’d ordered. I will definitely eat here again.

If I could rate it zero stars than I would. Every time I have ever been to this location or any smash burger in general I have hated it. I’ve been about 4 times and NEVER by my own choice. When I’ve been there there tables were dirty and greasy, they looked like they have never been cleaned. The workers (different every time) have never been friendly. The food is over priced, especially for the quality. The tomatoes in my bean burger were is disgusting. The avocado on it was old and turning brown. And the fries? The fries are absolutely disgusting. I had no idea until today they were cooked in beef tallow (cow fat) which I find absolutely disgusting. I should have looked into it before since I’m vegetation, but I had no idea the fries would be made with animals??? That’s just strange to me. I will never eat there again. It’s just plain nasty.

I love this the place. I think the Sin City Burger is really fantastic followed by the Beehive burger

Three words– get a manager or another three words– replace a manager. Unfortunately, my order is never correct here. For example, a burger lettuce wrap does not consist of two wilty pieces of lettuce on either side of a burger. Also, the order takers are trying to do every other job which might explain the mixed up and incomplete orders and their annoyed responses. The table next to me also complained of an inaccurate order. The burgers are delish but the service will send me to Habit Burger.

This is my favorite burger joint. The food is so full of delicious flavor. My favorite is the Baja and honey BBQ. I love the onion strings. You’ll pay a few bucks more than fast food places but make time to sit down and enjoy the meal.

The burgers are okay but for the prices I was a little let down. The buns are good and not too small. The burger itself is quite large which is a plus. The toppings were fresh and plentiful. The fries were small in size (cut size). I do like the taste of the smashburger fries through. Overall it was an average burger for too much money.

5 stars for staff friendliness and usefulness.
5 stars for cleanliness and atmosphere.
5 stars for variety and freshness of food.
Prices are fair, food is made fresh.
The only downside I’ve seen is this location’s salads lack the quantity of lettuce the other SB’s provide.

The Colorado burger was very good and with some garlic sweet potato fries, made a great lunch

The food and service is usually good.
This review is on the two server girls. On Saturday 18 or Sunday April 19^th around 2 – 3 pm (can’t find my receipt to confirm which day) I got an order to go. While waiting I watched the servers at the expediter window eating and handling the orders. One was eating a banana and the other a shake. The one with the shake went behind the register counter at one point while eating. Neither one washed her hands from eating to handling food, which is a health code violation. This is also unprofessional to be eating in front of customers while working. It’s fine if they are at a table, but not in between orders or behind the register area.

Date of visit March 8^th around 2pm, party of 5. Facility was a mess… nothing like eating next to a dirty table after having to clean your own table before sitting down. There was only one other table occupied when we arrived and maybe 2 other customers came in during our visit. Tables around us were all dirty, the young girl behind the counter started cleaning when we were finishing but then left the dirty rag on one of the tables. The floors were littered with food and bits of trash and both bathrooms were a mess. Our food was «okay» but no where near the quality of what we have experienced at other locations. Fried egg on one burger was cooked completely through and the yolk was indistinguishable from the whites. The customer service deserves 0 stars, the cleanliness deserves 0 stars. This Smashburger is definitely NOT following the company line… avoid it. Better off at another location or at the In-​n-​Out down the street.
Just when Smashburger was winning me over from In-n-Out.this happened. Back in 2^nd place you go.

I ordered the big classic smash burger and smash fries with fry sauce. The food was delicious! My mouth is watering as I write this review.
The only problem is the symphony of trumpets I had to experience shortly after eating it. Smash burger smashed my guts big time. Perhaps I’m just not used to the greasy deliciousness which is apparent in our fast food culture as I do not eat it often.
You will enjoy the food but make sure that you are close by a toilet afterwards just incase your guts get smashed with your burger.

I can’t believe people are talking about the same Smash Burger.
The burger looked like something from Artic Circle’s…leftover bin! It was dry and the buns were stale. This was the beehive burger. They fries weren’t nothing to rave about either.
Suffice it to say, the burger looks and tastes really sad… sad like if you tried to feed it to your dog, your cell phone would ring seconds later with PETA on the line trying to stop you from doing the animal cruelty.
Coming back? Maybe… if all the other restaurants in Utah burn down and there are no more wild animals to hunt down and cook… gosh, even then… I dunno? I might even resort to going after the neighbor’s pets before coming here! LOL, JK: P
…actually, maybe… not kidding? If the neighbors have pet chickens, ducks, cows and pigs… then I’d say that’s fair game! (pun intended)

First time here, and I was impressed. My cheeseburger was really fresh and flavorful. They have several different cheeses, salads, chicken, sides (rosemary flavored fries, onion sticks, sweet potato fries), shakes and drinks.
The restaurant was clean and comfortable.

By far the best burger i have had in such a long time.
Tried everything on the menu with out demolishing the burger by taking the onions/​tomatoes ect. off like i normally would.
I even tried the mushroom burger and spicy guacamole burger and i hate mushrooms and spicy food.
I would have to say the rosemary fries are by far my favorite fries EVER.
If you have the fries you have got to try the spicy fry sauce too!
I am still craving them today and just might have to go back for some later tonight.
I was a little hesitant about the smashed chicken burgers but oh my, they were SOOOO delicious.
As for shakes, my favorite has to be the salted carmel shake, it makes my mouth water just thinking about it!!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE being Elite. I get to try so many things that i probably pass up every day.

DRAPER: Smashburger is a very good burger chain. My wife likes it more than I do. The positive is that
1. Food is made fresh
2. Portions are generous
3. They have excellent fries and onion straws
4. Restaurant is clean
The drawbacks
1. Their buns are dense and dry
2. The burgers don’t have enough sauce/​flavor IMO, also a little dry
3. Something about the fried goodness of the fries gives me a belly ache every time
4. It’s a little pricey for a quick burger, when you have In N Out down the street about two minutes away

Love this place. The fried pickles aren’t posted on the menu but they’re phenomenal. Would love to eat here everyday if I could! Come try it.
